[Aunt L] called after I wrote this and asked to borrow some beading
tools. I will take them over today when I get [Cousin B] for the full moon
gathering (looks like it's not gonna be much of a gathering. Me and
[Cousin B], Elena's got a class, Maggiemaepisces rsvpd but I don't think she can get up
the hill, Eric B said he has a class and might show up later. feh.)

Anyway, she said she was sorry [Cousin B] had pooped out on me. I told her I
should have gone and I was mad at myself for being so dependent on
others to motivate myself and she was all like 'you can always go by
yourself another time' and I got (irrationally) angry and said "no,
no I can't. The reason I have Krav scheduled certain times is because
I'm busy the other nights" and then she backpedaled and said she
meant I could go twice on the nights I'm available (um, no).. it just
made me mad. She had no business apologizing on [Cousin B]'s behalf. She has
no business enabling him to be a worthless piece of crap like Uncle Bubba
and [brother A]. I HATE to see it. HATE it. But there's fuck-all I can do if
[Cousin B] has decided to be unreliable, lazy, and worthless, and nothing I
can do to keep [Aunt L] from encouraging/enabling/pandering to it.

God damn it. It just makes me sick and sad.

And I'm still fucking mad at myself for not going to class on my own.

we went to a 'first time buyers' class and the guy teaching it became
our agent. We liked him. He drove us around and really explained
things to us as we went along.

We looked at a bunch...maybe 20 or 30, the market was really tight
and when we'd stop to think about it, the house we were thinking
about would get bid on and sold. We got tricked into bidding when the
seller's agent had already accepted a bid and knew we weren't going
to get it, and then we were just like 'bla' and the next house was
the one. We saw the front,went 'bla' then came in and saw how light
and spacious it was, and that was that.
8. Tell me about your offer. Was it high? Low? Did it have
stipulations? Was there a lot of back-&-forth? Any problems? (all)
We offered what they were asking; the market was VERY tight at that
time, very much a seller's market. No problems.
9. How was the whole home buying process in general? How long did it

We started looking in april, closed in july,moved in August. Not too
bad.

feel? Did you love it? Find things wrong? Wish you'd waited? Feel

we were giddy. I have never doubted the choice. When part of our yard
fell into the creek, Sweetie started getting down about everything.

So far it's been fine. He knows I like the house, I know he'd be

There are a lot of things I want to do to the house, but since he's
not interested I don't really feel like being the one hand clapping,
ya know? So I've paid for a few repairs that needed doing, he's done
a few things that needed doing, but life has mostly continued as
usual for both of us as far as spending money on our own interests.

I don't regret the house. Sometimes I regret the Sweetie. Most of the
time I think the house and the Sweetie were both good decisions.

don't let them talk you into spending more money than you want to
spend. Make sure you'll still have $ for going out, buying clothes,
paying bills, etc.

we are with GMAC. They're OK. MBNA sucks. Bank of America sucks.
Never had a house thing with them, but in general.

the balloon payment thing is a rip, and a variable interest rate can
be, too.

never buy one that's had foundation work. Look for new roof, AC and
heat, that's something you dont' want to bother paying for right
after you buy a house.

I am happy to have a place to belong.

house weigh on your mind and your pocketbook? (all)
Sometimes I feel tied down, but most of the time I feel like it's an
investment; eventually the market will get better, and we can sell or
whatever.

it's really a buyer's market right now. Mortgage companies are
falling all over themselves to sell to people who have enough for a
monthly payment but nothing for a big down payment. I'd take
advantage of that.
26. If you think owning a home is the best thing ever, and you
totally think I'm doing the right thing, convince me of that. (all)
Renting is throwing your money down a rat hole. Might as well be
spending your money on something that has a return, you get a tax
write-off, and eventually you can sell it if you want to.

I call in sick about once a month in order to sleep and putter.

I can't eat when I first wake up. I have to put something together to
eat after I've been awake a couple of hours. I used to pack my
lunches in advance, but I've gotten lazy since Sweetie's been laid
off and I have a few more minutes in the mornings.

...sometimes I forget to put on deodorant. Sometimes I forget
breakfast &/or lunch.

I tried to put on makeup. Gave that idea up pretty quick. I think I
was going to put in contact lenses first thing, too. NOpe!! Had a 15
minute "AM Yoga with Rodney Yee" video that I did for a week or 2. I
just do that on weekends now.

nopers. I had my Rodney Yee hottie vibe going there for a while, but
I finally decided the 15 minutes of sleep was better for my chi.

yup. I think it's some kind of monotonous buzz. I usually wake up a
bit before it goes of because our little kitty starts crying as soon
as there is any light outside. FEH!

Between 9:30 and 10:00. I read and then turn out the lights around
10:30-11.
11. Do you find it's easier to get up in the morning if you go to bed

No.

This has been getting earlier and earlier as I get older. When I was
15 or so, I could sleep until 3 in the afternoon. Now...it's about 8
or 9. If I can, I keep snoozing.

How AR is this: I wash my laundry on Sunday and hang up my weeks'
worth of clothes on a peg on the door. Less digging in the closet in
the a.m.= more sleep time!

I used to get the bus. Since Sweetie's been laid off, he's been
driving me to work and picking me up. I'm gonna miss that when he
gets a new job!

lights on everything. Nothing wrong with both, they are both cool.

I have, in the past, felt guilty and horrible for not buying things
for people, so then I went and bought stuff anyway at the last minute

any more debt.

I have a pair of grinch socks. My friend Liz gave me this little

I'd say the lines are pretty fluid, depending on ones personal

Not a drug user, but why not legalize marijuana, at least? You don't
hear about potheads bashing their kids brains out while out of their
heads on pot or killing each other over a bad dope deal. Seems like a
pretty peaceful drug.

Drummers. Drummers drummers drummers. But I'd take a bassist in a
pinch. Oh, wait, I have taken a bassist and pinched him....:)

I have done it. It was pretty dumb. I don't think it's cheating, but
if you've got the real thing in the other room, why wear out your
fingers online?

TV. dumb. But I watch whatever's on FOX most evenings, just to have
backgroundnoise while I eat, do dishes, putter 'round the house.
