answered by those who bought tapes first, because your first CD was a

I don't remember. I know my first tape was Styx, the one with "Mr
Roboto" on it....but I don't remember my first CD.
2. Who/what was your childhood cartoon idol? (all)
Casper the Friendly Ghost and/or Pippi Longstocking
3. Remember your first your first serious boyfriend/girlfriend, who
you thought you were in love with but really weren't? When did you
realize that whatever you were feeling wasn't love? (all)
Yup. I fell out of love with him when he called me at college to tell
me that one of our other friends had killed himself. I was upset and
he just kind of blew it off and wanted to talk about Twin Peaks or
some shit.
4. Do you understand the whole expensive scented candle phenomenon?
Can you explain it to me? (all)
I love sniffy candles! I don't like to spend too much $ on them, but
they're great. I can spend hours smelling candles. It's not something
to explain...you either get it or you don't.
5. Why do I want to be in high school again, even though I'm six
months away from graduating from college? (all)
People always try to recreate dysfunctional situations and try to fix
what went wrong the first time. I bet that's what you're doing.
6. Which Saved by the Bell character did you most relate to? Which
one do you relate to now, after you got over the stigma of admitting
to watching Saved by the Bell? (all)
I never watched that show.
7. Do you subscribe to any magazines? Or read certain ones regularly?
Which ones? (all)
Nope. Sometimes I pick up a Cosmo, or an Art & Architecture, but
nothing on a regular basis.
8. For how long can you willfully suspended disbelief? (In a movie
theater, reading a book, hearing your friend tell you a wild-ass
story you know isn't true, etc.) (all)
Oh, maybe half an hour. More if the storyteller is very talented.
9. Are you as sick of people using ellipses ("...") in their writing
as I am? Why can't people end sentences? (all)
I haven't noticed it...but I think I am one of the ellipse-using
criminals.
10. What is your dark musical secret? Are you a punk rocker who
listens to Madonna? Do you swear by ska but own Hootie and the
Blowfish CDs? Are you a goth Andrew Lloyd Webber geek? (all)
Sometimes when I'm on a long road trip I listen to Country & Western.
There's some I'll even sing along to.

Coffee. Or Champagne & Chambord. Depends on the occasion
12. When you can't remember what you did last night or last month or
last year, do you feel guilty? Do you make up stories and pretend you
remember? Do you just go back to sleep and hope the alcohol wears

It's disturbing not to remember stuff...but that's why I write it
down! I am all for going back to sleep, under any circumstances.
13. Have you ever done something really really really mean that you
just don't regret, no matter how hard you try? (all)
Oh, all the time.
14. What do you think about people who own silver-plated cigarette
cases? (all)

15. Can you tell the difference between a cake made from scratch and
one from a box? (all)
scratch cakes are usually uglier than box cakes, but other than
that...no.
16. When you were a little kid, and your parents told you to go to
bed, did you freak out, or find creative ways to stay up, or just go
to bed? (all)
I don't remember. Most kids seem to get all frantic and run around
trying not to go to sleep, so I bet I did that, too.
17. What was your favorite childhood candy indulgence? Does the
thought of it totally gross you out now? (all)
Lick a sticks, or lick em aid, or something like that. A stick of
white sugar that you dipped in a little pouch with grape and green
apple flavor, then lick the powder off the sugar stick. EW!!
18. Have you ever loved a food item so much that you couldn't stop
eating it and now you can't even look at it now without feeling
nauseous? (all)
Cadbury eggs. Those things are so sick.
19. What did you refuse to eat as a little kid that you like now?
Anything you liked then that you refuse to eat now? (all)
I can't think of anything.
20. Are you stumped by all these questions about food? Why do you
think I'm asking them? (all)
Are you hungry? or having problems with a picky toddler? Or just
really obsessed almost to the point of fetishism? I don't know you
well enough to even speculate.
21. Have you ever stayed at home while your roommates went for a walk
in the rain and hoped they got struck by lightning so you could have
the whole place to yourself? Or thought other evil thoughts like
that? On a regular basis? (all)
*laugh* when I had a roommate, yes.
22. How many pairs of shoes do you own? (all)
somewhere in the 24-30 range.
23. Does the phrase "it's a guy thing" piss you off? How about "it's
a girl thing?" (all)
no. no...does it piss you off? Why do you get so hostile about such
dumb things?
24. Do you name your inanimate objects, like your car or your
computer? Do you sometimes pretend that they have personalities and
are interacting with you in their own special way? (all)
I have done that in the past but don't do it so much now.
25. Were you ever punk? Do you talk smack about "the scene" now? Do
you ever wonder if you were one of those smack-talked kids when you
were in "the scene?" Don't you totally hate those kids now? (all)
Nah. I was New Wave. But I had punk friends. Yes, I talk smack about
all the 'look at me I'm a freak' people. And I mostly do hate them.

You really ARE hostile, aren't you? Maybe you should take a warm bath
