evile: *hugs* I was sorry to hear about your friend's death.
Sharjinka: Thanks, it was a bit of a shock. He was too young.
    evile: *nod*
Sharjinka: I'm getting much better as the days go by.
    evile: yeah.
Sharjinka: I've been kind of mopey and moving slow.
Sharjinka: So....I took my iron pill.... So....I'll be constipated,
    mopey, and moving slow.... ;-)
    evile: I understand. *hugs*
    Sharjinka: Thanks....
evile: a friend's husband was killed in CA in a similar freak thing,
    just a couple days ago.
evile: You always take for granted that you'll see people again...and
    sometimes it doesn't happen...
Sharjinka: I'm sorry. Poor thing..... losing a husband.... I can't
    imagine.
Sharjinka: I know. I feel terrible.... We didn't really settle a
problem between us.... and now we never will.
    evile: *hugs*
    Sharjinka: *sigh* Thanks.
evile: He's in a place now where he understands everything...so just
let him know how you feel and give him your blessing to go on.
Sharjinka: Yeah....thanks.... You know just what to say (no sarcasm
or anything). That was the perfect thing to say. Thank you. :-)
evile: You're welcome. It's hard to say goodbye, but when you love
someone & care about them, you have to let them go when it's time.
Sharjinka: Yeah. I just thought it was a bit too soon.
Sharjinka: He was at least a decade younger than me.
evile: *nod* it sucks so much when stuff like that happens.
Sharjinka: Yeah.... I'm glad Robert (CB) is okay.
    evile: *nod*
Sharjinka: I've heard he doesn't have nightmares and realizes how
much he's loved and supported. That's really good.
    evile: *nod*
    Sharjinka: :-)
evile: *sigh* it's hard to go on when so many people are
hurting...but life is too damn short, ya know?
    Sharjinka: Yeah.
Sharjinka: I just wish I could say something that would make them
feel better but I keep thinking they've probably heard it all...
evile: but not from you. If it's important to you that they know how
you feel, say what you need to say.
    Sharjinka: True....
evile: when you're hurting, the words don't matter, just the fact
    that someone is there.
Sharjinka: That's true. I've already talked to Alan. He's doing all
    right....
    evile: good.
Sharjinka: I thought I'd check on Bill when he got back to Waco.
    evile: good idea.
Sharjinka: I might be heading down to the Valley once I get
    everyone's input from the collection.
evile: *nod* that's a really wonderful thing for you to do.
Sharjinka: Thanks. It doesn't make me feel too wonderful but if it
helps them out..... I can do it.
evile: *nod* I always hate to feel helpless--that's the worst part of
grief for me, so any action that can be taken is a good feeling.
Sharjinka: Yeah.... Maybe it'll kick in later.
evile: *nod* anything is better than just sitting and crying.
    Sharjinka: Yeah, that's true.
evile: *hugs* you're a good person, and I bet you're a real rock for
the other folks feeling this loss.
Sharjinka: I'm not sure, but I'm going to try to be.
    evile: *nod*
Sharjinka: *sigh* I better go.... Laters! Thanks for all the
    words! :-D

    thewordnerd: Hey!
    evile: hi!
    thewordnerd: How was Vegas?
evile: good. I didn't win big, but I didn't come back broke.
evile: saw a very cheezy show, met my friend's boyfriend & his
    family, had a good time.
thewordnerd: Ah, that's good. I'm not terribly into gambling. I went once,
and playing the slots felt a bit like doing laundry, except the
machines blinked more and I didn't get clean clothes out of the deal.
thewordnerd: So, all things considered, I'd rather do laundry. Fewer
flashing lights, but I actually *get* something out of the
    experience. :P
    evile: heh.
thewordnerd: So, what are you planning for tonight? Looks like Nikiyoy and I
might be at rainking and ladydreamtime's party. I hope it's ok if I just show up,
    as I wasn't really invited.
evile: I'm sure it will be fine for you to be there.
evile: tonight is my mom & stepdad's last night in town, so I'll be
    with them.
thewordnerd: Yeah, more than likely. I'll try not to eat them out of house
and home and trash the place. :P
thewordnerd: Ah. Is that going ok?
    evile: *laff*
evile: it's going fine. I'm just tired & either getting sick or
    having allergies.
    thewordnerd: Ewww. :(
    evile: oh well.
evile: My mom & stepdad even visited my brother and his pig on
Wednesday & had a nice time.
    thewordnerd: Wow.
thewordnerd: Do *they* have any concerns about the situation?
evile: I know. I'm thinking the drama this visit will come from
skye_ds & sineater, who they're going to see tomorrow
evile: My mom is blinded by baby-rabies. My stepdad is with me but
says I can't say anything to my mom.
    thewordnerd: Wow.
    evile: yeah, it sucks.
evile: not to mention how offensive is it to come into MY home and
tell me what I can and cannot say.
thewordnerd: Indeed. Sounds like my relationship with my parents.
    evile: *nod*

    evile: Happy Birthday :)
Danicia de Lontra: Thanks baby! *SMOOCH*

    evile: *blush*
Danicia de Lontra: How are you today?
    evile: tired. but it's OK.
Danicia de Lontra: I hear that. Working today? I read what you said
about using ICQ at work. bleh.
evile: I'm at work, but things seem to be better today.
    Danicia de Lontra: That's good.
evile: it's bizarre, but when the moon is in Leo, I've noticed that
is usually the time I have problems with her. [Krabby]
Danicia de Lontra: How odd. *ponder*
evile: I know. I think it's because she's not in a real leadership
role with work or life, and she's a Leo, so that's the time it really
bothers her the most & she has to lash out.
Danicia de Lontra: Ah yes, that will surely do it.
evile: I hate it when miserable people take it out on others. But
that's what state workers do I guess.
Danicia de Lontra: Seems like it. I really like my area because it's
full of really lazy people, but who are only lazy *after* the work
    has been done.
evile: I would have no problem with that.
Danicia de Lontra: I know. it's a nice change. A team that works as a
team to get shit done, so everyone can be lazy together. :)

    evile: sounds like heaven!
Danicia de Lontra: in sweats and tshirts. Of course, we're all
    contractors with no bennies

evile: yeah...I guess there's a price for everything. I try to focus
on my free time & real life as much as possible.
Danicia de Lontra: me too. once I'm done, I'm *done*.
    evile: exactly.
evile: My mom & stepdad have been at my house this week...it's been
relatively peaceful, but I'll still be glad to have the house back to
normal when they leave tomorrow :)
Danicia de Lontra: OH yeah. I bet.
evile: had one near miss when my stepdad gave me a talk Monday night
about what I should/should not say to my mom...but I bit my tongue
    and moved on.
Danicia de Lontra: That is good. Less messier than strangulation

evile: yeah...it just astounds me to think that anyone would have the
gall to be a guest in someone's home and then tell them what not to
    say!
Danicia de Lontra: well...family always thinks they don't have to
follow the same rules as normal guests.
    evile: *sigh* I guess so.
evile: Yall got Big Plans tonight?
Danicia de Lontra: Going to The Melting Pot. Then to a friend's house
for a party. Small gathering of gamers.
evile: I like small gatherings better, personally. It sounds like a
great time. I found out we have a Melting Pot here, too! I'll have to
    check it out sometime.
Danicia de Lontra: I have never been so it's exciting

evile: It sounds like a lot of fun.
Danicia de Lontra: It better be for the price LOL
evile: I heard that it's a LOT of stuff, very filling & yummy
Danicia de Lontra: yah, I'll post a full menu :)

    evile: cool! :)
evile: you & I have such similar taste, I know I'll enjoy whatever
    you do :)
Danicia de Lontra: That's very true. I'm sooo looking forward to it.
and doug is allergic to bananas so I get to have ALL the bananas
    foster

    evile: bonus!

    evile: hi ;)
    SkyeDS: hey :)
evile: how was your Xmas, etc?
SkyeDS: are you able to come with your parentals on Saturday?
    SkyeDS: Santa was generous :0
evile: Glad to hear it. Santa found our hotel room in Vegas & left us
    stockings :)
evile: (I'm still keeping a low profile at work, just in case... boss
lady is still gone and left Ms. Leo [Krabby] in charge.ick.)
    SkyeDS: :|
    evile: yup.
evile: I didn't realize we were invited to y'alls place on Saturday,
so I think Sweetie's made other plans.
SkyeDS: I don't think sineater thought to ask stepdad.
evile: stepdad prefers to visit each of the kids one by one, I think,
    anyway.
evile: he kind of freaked when I suggested that sineater join them on
Wednesday, to go visit Brother A & gang.
    SkyeDS: why?
evile: *shrug* because he likes to visit with each kid/fam
    separately, I guess...
evile: stepdad has a pretty set way of thinking, doesn't like people
    messing up his plans.
evile: You would have liked "Bite"--or at least the music and
    costumes (or lack thereof)
    SkyeDS: <grin>
evile: it was pretty hokey, but very fun.
SkyeDS: I liked Van Helsing too, it was fun for what it was
    evile: me too.
evile: Looks like Sweetie definitely made plans for tomorrow. Oh well.
    SkyeDS: sok :)
evile: you'll have plenty to deal with as is, I imagine, with HFS
folks coming over tonight & then the fam tomorrow.
    SkyeDS: true
evile: Personally, I could probably sleep from now until Monday, no
    problem.
    SkyeDS: me too
evile: i haven't had a chance to get back to my normal sleep patterns-
-first Vegas, then family being at the house...It's all been fun &
worth it, but I'm pretty tired.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: I can still party as hard as I used to, I just don't recover
    as quick.
SkyeDS: I don't know anything about partying. I am a wimp
evile: *shrug* I wouldn't say that, but you're welcome to your
    opinion.
evile: well, I'm going to work on getting out of here maybe a couple
minutes early. I hope things will be back to normal at work next week
so we can chat more :)
    SkyeDS: nodnod
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: have a good evening & have fun tomorrow!
    SkyeDS: grazie

Got home from work 5-ish, went to take a nap. Got lucky. Slept until
almost 9, decided I wasn't going anywhere. Sweetie went to Pace Bend to
camp with the VW folks. Mom & stepdad are at Aunt L & Uncle B's, Ladydreamtime and
Rainking are having a party that everyone is at, and here I am at home,
finally unpacking from Vegas, and just sittin' around. Honestly, I
don't feel sociable, so this is fine. I have a bit of a sore throat &
a headache (allergies are low today & have been all week, so I am
thinking this is a bug I'm fighting off)
