    evile: happy hump day :)
SkyeDS: ditto :) sorry bout work :(
evile: eh, whatever. My own fuckin' fault for staying and putting up
with it as long as I have.
SkyeDS: since raises are based on these performance reviews, in my
opinion there should be a way to appeal the review.
evile: Haven't had a raise in 4 years, had outstanding reviews all 4
years, the state voted us one in Sept, regardless of performance,
    fuckit.
SkyeDS: so you'll get your raise anyway?
    evile: yup.
    SkyeDS: good!
    evile: whee, 3%.
evile: I am going to give Aunt L. my state app and my resume and ask her
to fix them up and give me some ideas of where to send 'em.
evile: she likes getting in peoples' business, so this ought to be
    right up her alley :P
    SkyeDS: :P~~~
evile: *shrug* I find that personality traits in themselves need not
be negative or positve, but can be channeled either way.
    SkyeDS: like stubborn/persistent
    evile: exactly.
SkyeDS: I got kind of annoyed with Hugh the last week or so although
he seems to be in a better mood today
SkyeDS: so I've been windowshopping again
SkyeDS: and on a related note, bought a new pair of romanesque sandals
evile: cool. Windowshopping is always fun.
SkyeDS: they're knockoffs of Earth Shoes
    evile: *nod*
    SkyeDS: http://www.earthshoe.com/walmartShoes.asp?
    l=womens&c=sandals&sc=Spring05&p=5&pn=6655320
    SkyeDS: called Norways
evile: cool. They do look a lot like the Earth shoe version :)
SkyeDS: yeah for 20% the cost
SkyeDS: and whereas the Earth Shoes (Athenas) don't lace, these do.
SkyeDS: they were so garby looking I had to.
SkyeDS: I'm going to give them a shot riding in them once and see how
    it goes.
SkyeDS: they have 1/2 inch heel, which is what riding boots have
SkyeDS: and they have thong toes and lace tightly, so they're more
    secure than the avg sandal
SkyeDS: usually I say better barefoot than in sandals
    evile: bare hoof+bare toes=world o' hurt, I'm thinkin.
SkyeDS: if you're on the ground yes.
SkyeDS: heel issue = riding issue, closed toe issue = ground safety.
SkyeDS: so if I find I can stay in the saddle safely with them I
would have to have someone else groundhandling.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I'm just going to try it once, it probably isn't going to work
SkyeDS: Jubilee rode successfully in hers last Sunday BUT she didn't
    groundcrew, she just rode.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: the problem I'm thinkin is that I don't rely on the boys to
    saddle the new saddle properly
SkyeDS: it is different than the old western one
SkyeDS: for that matter half the time I have to look over where
Jesse's been saddled because things get overlooked, not tightened
enough, or the skirt gets folded under, or the saddle's too far
    forward or backward or wahtever
SkyeDS: so in addition to being lazy assed to say saddle my horse for
    me
SkyeDS: it wouldn't be terribly safe either
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: Mirage looks quite stunning in her purple and black tack even
if I do say so meself
    evile: cool :)
SkyeDS: Jubi's comment upon seeing the purple fleece was that it
    looks like furry costume
    evile: I guess that's a good thing...?
SkyeDS: she thought it was funny
SkyeDS: I thought, furry costume for a horse....right.
    evile: Oh, OK.
SkyeDS: I'm thinking she probably hasn't seen a lot of western gear,
because big fleece is very popular
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I had just bought a new black on black girth with sheep
fleece that I ended up giving to sineater
SkyeDS: the sheep fleece is thicker than the medical fleece we'd been
    using
SkyeDS: so I'm thinking it may be more comfortable
    evile: *nod* probably.
evile: ooh, my new wish list topper:
    http://www.gypsymvp.com/apollo.htm
SkyeDS: but I thought you liked color
evile: yeah, but he's just so pretty :)
evile: and with white, you could color him with food coloring :P
    SkyeDS: ROFL
SkyeDS: someone in AR had a pretty boy for 15K which for a vanner is
    cheap
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: he do be very purty
    SkyeDS: already sold tho
    evile: yeah.
evile: not like I have 20 grand to throw around, ANYWAY. Wishing is
    free.
    SkyeDS: true dat :D
evile: sort of like wishing for 2 of Ewan McGregor :P
SkyeDS: that gypsy proverb about gold was actually a bedouin proverb
    first
    evile: cool :)
    SkyeDS: http://www.gypsyhorsesource.com/uk9/comingsoon.htm
    evile: pretty :)
evile: I am so bored & tired. I really don't want to do anything
after work, but I told Eric B. I'd have dinner with him.
SkyeDS: you will perservere through an hour of dinner just fine I'm
    sure
evile: I hope so. I just hope he doesn't want to talk about onyxlynxx the
    whole time.
SkyeDS: very high school. in a somewhat cute way. I guess.
evile: *shrug* I empathize with his crush, but I really don't have
    anything helpful to say.
evile: It sucks that I have no energy...I dont' have to work
tomorrow, I could go to 80s night at Elysium if I could stay up late
    enough.
SkyeDS: I was going to start my new regime this weekend but that's
right in the middle of my period
SkyeDS: so I'll go shopping this week/end and start next weekend
    evile: *nod*
evile: there. Quota for day done. finally had enough work to actually
    MAKE quota.
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: bored. tired. dreading talking to Eric B. ugh.
SkyeDS: 1% moe is fucking ridiculous
evile: it used to be 3. She told me it hadn't changed, but when I
actually read the job specs, it has.
evile: *shrug* So I bet I'm still at 2.
evile: which used to be 'outstanding' when error rate was 3, but is
now only 'proficient' since the new permitted error rate is 1.
evile: Wonder if I could live on $1300 a month & walk around downtown
    for a living.
    SkyeDS: wow
evile: I have a lousy sense of direction & can't give driving
    directions for crap, though.
    evile: I can read a map...so maybe that's a good substitute.
evile: *sigh* Oh well. I'll put L. to work and hopefully she'll
    find me some leads.
    SkyeDS: nodnodnod
evile: I'd rather just go to Vegas.
evile: I read that Bite has a new actor/magician playing the head
    vampire.
    SkyeDS: it sounds interesting
SkyeDS: I should ahve gone to vegas righ tafter I quit dealing
SkyeDS: I can't remember half of what I knew now
evile: last couple times I have been, I havent' really gambled much
at all. Just gone shopping, dining, drinking, & to shows.
evile: Hotel & air: Boston $324, Vegas $299, Albuquerque $207
SkyeDS: wonder where cavalia is atm
evile: Montreal. Will be in Boston in...September, I think.
SkyeDS: we start ballet training next tuesday night
    evile: cool :)

evile: They're in Boston so far Sept 8-11th, looks like. I've noticed
they tend to stay in one place longer than their initial info shows.
SkyeDS: wish they'd come to TX again
evile: If I was a traveling show, I wouldn't come to TX in the
    summer, either.
    SkyeDS: no not now
    SkyeDS: oct/nov would be lovely
    evile: *nod*
evile: Maybe after TRF season :)
evile: I just remind myself to check their website once a month or so.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: time for me to get. See ya!
SkyeDS: [Auto Response] I am currently away from the computer.
