evile: Hey :) How was your weekend?
SkyeDS: good, how was yours? :)
evile: Excellent. I started writing it up for LJ, but it's too long &
doubtless boring to anybody but me.
SkyeDS: not to those of us who live vicariously thru it :P
evile: *grinz*
SkyeDS: I was expecting my amazon order today and it hasn't even
shipped yet. what's with that.
evile: I've had some issues with amazon lately. I'm still waiting on
a book I ordered in March, and one I ordered in May.
SkyeDS: um?
evile: *shrug* NO clue.
SkyeDS: any correspondence from t hem at all?
evile: No. When I log in to check my order, it says "urgent,
attentnion needed" and I click and tell them I dont 'want to cancel
the orders, but that's it.
evile: Ladydreamtime and I are both waiting on our copies of "Kinky Crafts",
we want to do a girls night where we make something along those lines
& she wants to host it at her place. *sigh* I wish that book would
hurry up & get here.
SkyeDS: :(
evile: *shrug* it'll be here when it gets here, I guess. It's just
hard to be patient. Apparently the first printing is next to
impossible to find...you'd think the publishers would be eager to get
the next edition out with that kind of interest.
SkyeDS: too busy shipping Harry Potter I guess :|
evile: heehee. That was crazy. D told me about her adventures at the
bookstore for that. It was cool. She has the best witch hat EVAR.
SkyeDS: sineater bought me one that's purple silk covered in black
spiderweb
evile: cool :)
evile: D's has a black velvet ruched brim, and then the pointy part
is vinyl with O-rings, chains, and a corset-style lace-up in the
back :)
SkyeDS: wow
evile: It was awesome. I told her she needed an outfit to go with
it :P
SkyeDS: corset style laces and spanish style sleeves seem to be
popular
evile: *nod*
evile: My new Dr. is pretty cool. AND he has a chair that you sit in,
and the chair then reclines and moves so that he can do the pelvic
exam. Slightly more dignified than all that scooching around & paper
rustling nonsense.
SkyeDS: cool! :D
evile: Seemed like a nice guy. I forgot to ask him about the red
freckle on my boob. Dr. Davis keeps telling me it's nothing, but it
is getting bigger AND now it's asymmetrical.
SkyeDS: what's his name? I wonder if he's on my insurance
evile: Buten.
evile: There's a link to his website in my latest LJ entry.
SkyeDS: grazie!
evile: a bit more breederiffic than Davis, but tolerable. Didn't
freak about the ablation/essure thing. However, DID inform me that I
could, indeed, have had them both done at the same time. dammit.
SkyeDS: aw man :(
evile: longer recovery time that way, but I had the leave time to
spare, had I known.
evile: We are still super caught up at work. I've updated my LJ tags
back to 6/2004 or so.
SkyeDS: I would be caught up if I didn't have to keep finding stuff
for Michael to do, which I have to redo once he's gone
evile: that's a hassle.
SkyeDS: http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=978963
SkyeDS: explain to me why they're doing nothing more than deporting
those men
SkyeDS: while they hold a US Citizen without Due Process (Jose
Padilla)
evile: um..because they can?
SkyeDS: Padilla, who is guilty as hell, is going to walk when the
supremes take a look at his case.
SkyeDS: and in the meanwhile...
evile: definitely some screwed up priorities in this country..but
then again, it's rare that politicians' actions & words match.
SkyeDS: I know...but WTF
evile: nobody put me in charge of nuffin. I dunno.
evile: You know...I hate it that I have to be ugly to Dr. Davis'
staff in order to get them off their dead butts
SkyeDS: nodnodnods
evile: I refaxed my info release form, with a note "I've already
faxed this once, apparently you did not transfer the records to Dr.
Buten as requested, please take action immediately" and now they are
calling my cell (which they always forget about under normal
circumstances, like for reminders & test results & stuff.) to kiss my
ass.
SkyeDS: because if you file a complaint at the Board they all lose
their jobs
SkyeDS: violation of federal and state Hipaa law
evile: It's bad enough that I have to pay someone to dig in my cooch
and squash my boobs, the least they can do is do their damn jobs.
evile: I just HATE having to be ugly all the goddamned time. I just
want to be able to ASK politely, treat people as the competent adults
I assume they are, and have it be done.
evile: oh, yay, we are now buck-passing. "We sent that stuff, over a
week ago!"
evile: [cousin B] wants to go to Ravens Loft, BTW.
SkyeDS: cool :)
SkyeDS: given the weirdness going on with the people running it I
have no idea how it's going to turn out
SkyeDS: of course they're all greener than grass.
evile: *nod* I am definitely going to look for other things to do in
the area, just to have a backup plan of stuff to do if the faire
doesn't keep us busy for very long. It's a long way to drive for
nothing.
SkyeDS: yeah it is
evile: Oh well. B can have fun anywhere, he's pretty easygoing.
evile: The garb I lent/gave him for Scarby was stolen...so we'll have
to find something new for him to wear. Unfo, it looks like the ebay
vendor I got the wrap pants from no longer sells that style.
SkyeDS: that sucks :(
SkyeDS: I found a site that shows wrap pants made out of saris
SkyeDS: they're called kaccha
evile: cool, probably too girly for B.
SkyeDS: I'll see if I can find the site, you can look
evile: ok :)
SkyeDS: http://www.sarisafari.com/howkaccha.html
evile: way cool :)
evile: I guess I'll show him what's available and let him decide
what his faire 'look' is gonna be.
SkyeDS: we have half a dozen pair of salwar pants in various shades
evile: he's a good kid, but I wouldn't necessarily trust him to bring
things back if he borrowed them, or take good care of them while he
had them. He's a kid, ya know?
SkyeDS: ok :)
evile: well, time to get movin. 2 day work weeks rock :)
SkyeDS: guess so! wind to your wings :)
evile: *hugs* see ya tomorrow!
SkyeDS: ciao :)
