went home after work yesterday, did 2 loads of laundry, ate half the
refrigerator, and went to bed. Sineater called, but I was sleeping so I
didn't pick up. the one message he left on the machine was something
like "call when you get up, I'm sure I'll be up way before you, so
call me about 7"...*laff*. Honey, by 7 I've been up an hour and a
half. Anyway, I did call this a.m. and have somewhat of an idea
    when/where to be tomorrow. yay.

"From crockpot to sexpot"--that could totally be the
title of your tell-all bio! Love it! :P (sounds
    totally yummy, too, BTW!)

My evening was quiet--did 2 loads of laundry, called
Sineater (not home, left a message) ate half the fridge,
and went to sleep. Totally missed Sineater's return call.
Dreamed about Mom & Brother A, and then about being bored
    at work--how sucky is THAT?!?

Sineater's return msg. made me laugh--he said "call me
when you wake up in the morning--I guarantee I'll be
up before you. So...call me around 7, I'll be here"
(It is to laugh! I am up at 5:30, and my a.m. routine
is too tight to fit in a phone call, anyway) So I
called him at 7:10, right after I got in to work. And
he sounded like I'd just woken him up. Nimrod. ANYWAY,
I have a time and the address, so I'll meet him there
tomorrow a.m. How is it that doing nice things can
make me feel so bad? Oh well...

Coworker behind me is on the warpath again today. I
got in a fax that was a reply to a letter she'd sent,
so I was going to ask her about it, and she snottily
informed me that she wasn't answering questions and I
needed to ask our supervisor. what.ever. I think it's
because our clerical guy is out today & she misses
him. Why, yes, they DO pay me enough to deal with your
sexually frustrated neurotic attitude problem, dearie.
Just because you miss your boyfriend, feel FREE to
take bites out of my ass. *grump*

Happy Humpday!!! I am so glad it is Wednesday, date
    night, week half over, etc.!

How was your evening? Mine was good. We finally
have a break in all of this storm stuff, so I took
Pepper on a power walk. Came home, did Pilates, and
started the pot roast. I let it go for three hours
and it is mostly done. I popped it in the fridge
and will put it back on for an hour or so tonight.
    I hope it turns out!

I was hoping to have turnips and/or rutabagas, but
the little market I go to for produce didn't have
any. SO, I have two kinds of potatoes, mushrooms,
celery, onion, carrot and a shitload of garlic. :)
I also threw in some oregano, basil and fennel. I
couldn't get hold of any liquid smoke, so I just did
a lot of red wine, water and a beef bouillion cube.

Pilates was great last night. Sad to say, I hadn't
done it in ages. :( But, at least I am back in the
swing of things. I am contemplating getting some
cardio videos to do at home as well.
Walking/running is cool, but doing it in the city,
with all the stopping at intersections, slow
pedestrians, etc., can be a pain in the ass. Also,
the weather. It would be fun to do some cardio at
    home for a change.

I can't wait to see Shane tonight. From crockpot to
    sexpot. :)

The book should actually be "From Sexpot to
Crockpot," given the fact that I've been a sexpot
for years, and this is my first foray into
crockpot-land. But tonight will definitely be from
crockpot (dinner) to sexpot (schoolgirl fun). :)

Also has a couple drops of tabasco and some
worcestershire. This thing won't lack for flavor.
The meat is an organic chuck roast from my butcher.

I've had weird dreams lately, too. Just odd ones in
which I do these boring little quotidian things like
going to the grocery store. I had one dream that
consisted entirely of me choosing which pasta sauce
    I wanted. Bizarre.

Sineater's message is funny. Whatever! Shane teases me
about wanting to laze around in bed on weekends, but
    (a) he sleeps just as late as I do, and (b) I am the
one that gets up at 6:30 during the week!

    Your cow-orker is a shrew.

    me:

*laff* I guess that's the way it goes for a lot of
gals...sexpot to crockpot. :P But that's OK, too. As
long as there's still some spice in there somewhere :P

I am so done with the coworkers...just DONE.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow (the day off part,
anyway). Sineater said something like "gosh, I can't think
of the last time you and I spent time together" and I
was like "I can--the last time you and I were together
1 on 1, you were bitching me out for saying
something-or-other about your wife." and he kind of
laughed and we moved on. As long as we don't talk
about UB or the marriage tomorrow, we should be fine.
I am figuring he'll be sleepy and in pain, so will
just want to rest, anyway. And, unlike his wife who
"loves [him] unreservedly" I will actually let him
    relax and heal.

Yeah, it's almost frightening how into the
housewifely arts I have become. But there is
definitely plenty of spice, fun, etc. And it's not
like Shane doesn't contribute. Plus the cooking
stuff, I really do enjoy. The cleaning - not so
much. :) If it we're up to me, I'd let the gunge
build up in the bathtub for months. Which I did.
    Until last weekend.

Oooh. Since it's clean, Shane and I should have a
bubble bath this weekend. That could be an
incentive to keep it clean regularly. See. It's
happening. Pretty soon, I will get into dusting
because I can do it nude when Shane's around.

Sineater. *sigh* Still, I am glad he will be in your
charge, and he will get some real rest, rather than
being shoved into some little cubby at UB's office.

I brought the rest of my satan oreos in to the
office. I saved some for home, but no more. Every
time I went in to look at the pot roast, I got a
cookie. Very bad. I might have to never buy those
    again.

a bubble bath a deux! that's a cute idea! Too bad Sweetie & I are both so
big (him tall more than fat, me fat more than tall)...we'd need a
    bigger tub. :P

I like cleaning house, but only when I'm in the mood, and not when
there's someone underfoot. I like to do it when the house is empty &
I can turn up the radio and run around in grungy clothes that can get
    bleach-spots and stuff on them.

I would love a bunch of satan oreos right about now...so glad there
aren't any around. I do have nuts in my desk so I'll have a few of
those, and some hot tea & hope the sweet-tooth passes.

Oh, guess who answered a coworker's question without even the
slightest bit of 'tone'? Would it be Little Miss "I'm not answering
questions, talk to our boss?" Hm. Imagine that.

    shee-yit.

We haven't done the bubble bath thing in ages. The
first time we did it, we had champagne, too. :) It
was fun. Neither of us have ideal tubs for it,
unfo. Shane's is wide, but not deep, and mine is
deep but a little too narrow. So, we're going to
have to do a little weekend B&B thing with a big
    whirlpool bath in the room.

I am definitely a "mood" cleaner. When it hits, I
    am a tornado!

Yep, the satan oreos are a fine thing. There's
still quite a few in my treat jar, so I could have
one... but I might opt for the celery sticks (mmmm
    mmmm good!) instead.

You see, rather than leave the satan oreos in the
breakroom, where they would be demolished
instantly,I put them in my treat jar and placed the jar on
    my windowsill.

    That woman's a bitch.

*sigh* I've got an hour to go and then I'm off

spend any $. That'll be good.

I remembered about your dentist appt...I hope they give you lots of
    nice painkillers :)

Sineater said he was surprised that they were going to have an
anesthesiologist on hand, because the surgery is just going to
require local. He was thinking dentist-type 'local' I guess...poor
guy. I wonder if his Dr. just isn't very good & didn't give him a
checklist for before and after surgery things to do/expect, or if
he's just so messed up from years of UB yanking him around that he
    can't absorb/understand/remember info anymore. *sigh*

    evile: hi!
    SkyeDS: howdo :)
evile: hangin in there. How is everything with you?
    SkyeDS: well nuff considerin
SkyeDS: made some headway with the truck yesterday anyway
    evile: that's good to hear.
SkyeDS: got tired of them fucking Sineater over so I called and went over
some heads, and they decided after seeing me play nice and seeing me
play dirty that nice was better.
SkyeDS: took playing dirty to actually get anywhere but once we made
progress I was very nice again and everyone was happy all around. So
why that's not what happened in the first place is beyond me.
evile: glad it got worked out.
SkyeDS: I do not understand not one whit my mother's method of just
let people do whatever they want to you, as long as you don't rock
    the boat.
    evile: happy mediums are good.
SkyeDS: medical misdiagnosis, dont' rock the boat. mechanics
screwing you over your primary work vehicle (necessary to haul horses
in medical emergencies), don't rock the boat. Employer trying to
screw you over, don't rock the boat.
evile: then again, if you go into every transaction with the blood-
madness upon you, people learn to ignore you and just do whatever
they were planning on doing in the first place. Time & place,
appropriate escalation with the correct person, are all pretty key.
    SkyeDS: of course
SkyeDS: my intention is to treat people as friends until they prove
    otherwise, in general
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: what she doesn't approve of is my going over Customer No
Service's head when I know I'm being done wrong.
    evile: Oh well.
evile: her life is hers to do with what she will, and so is yours.
SkyeDS: my due lire is, Sineater plays nice. I know, I watch him.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: do him wrong and you will answer to me, and you won't like it
SkyeDS: we've bought two vehicles from these people, each one more
    expensive than the last.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: by about twice. As will the next investment be.
    evile: wow
SkyeDS: but methinks I might take my money elsewhere.
    evile: Yeah...
SkyeDS: well, first we bought Sineater's Red Ranger (that we sold to his
Uncle Chris), then the Dodge (2x as much as the Ranger).
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and a full ton truck appropriately equipped will be about 2x
    the Ram.
    evile: yeeps!
    SkyeDS: used.
    evile: *nod*
    SkyeDS: brb
    evile: ok
SkyeDS: [Auto Response] I am currently away from the computer.
    SkyeDS: took Hugh to lunch
SkyeDS: he's always such a cheapskate
    evile: oh well..
SkyeDS: next time I will choose ahead of time where to go and get
    reservations if I have to.
    evile: thought that counts.
SkyeDS: I wouldn't offer to take him out if I couldn't afford to do
    nice
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I will get something from Amazon since I have the $ I didn't
    spend today
SkyeDS: birthday was in August, Boss Day was in October, and his wife
got more out of his Xmas present than he did
SkyeDS: and my year anniversary is tomorrow
SkyeDS: so I will get him a gift cert from Amazon as a combined
    birthday/boss day/xmas present
    evile: that's a nice idea :)
SkyeDS: I can't remember the last time I worked somewhere for an
entire year. Milestone. (sad but true)
evile: that's cool. It's nice that you seem to have found a niche :)
SkyeDS: I haven't even looked at anything else in the past year. I
have too much freedom now to give it up.
    evile: *nod*
evile: yeah, I ponder the whole money/time thing from time to time.
One can always earn more money, but once time is gone, it's gone.
SkyeDS: that's why I decided to go to an event in t he Valley
SkyeDS: our usual travel limit is 200 miles one way
    SkyeDS: and that was 370
SkyeDS: but I haven't seen Cali and Sandy in a decade now
    SkyeDS: and time is fleeting
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: I'm going to look into that 90 acre city park and see if they
normally allow camping or whatever, no reason I couldn't then go
anytime before it gets hot again
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: lol booty call contract lol love it
evile: would have saved so much hassles back in my single days.
evile: then again, boys *are* stupid. The ones I just wanted for FB,
wanted to be "capital L" Lovers, and the ones I wanted forever with
    just wanted to be FB's.
SkyeDS: and a lot of women can't manage FB for a long time
    SkyeDS: end up in love
    evile: *nod*
evile: I had to explain that to Patrick more than once.
evile: he would do things like buy jewelry for his fuckbuddies and
they'd get the wrong idea and he'd get all confused. ridiculous.
    SkyeDS: lol
SkyeDS: I am proud of sonar0m
SkyeDS: he hasa job now, 6 hours a week, 10.25 an hour
    evile: cool.
SkyeDS: that ought to shut his parentals up
    evile: hope so.
SkyeDS: of his own free will, he only wants a small cash allowance
and to put the rest in savings
    evile: good plan.
SkyeDS: my acct because it wouldn't stay in his.

evile: ex lax brownies are too good for her! She needs a seat full of
    thumbtacks for that shit.
evile: I'm going to make a dry run tonight & make sure I know where
I'm supposed to get Sineater from tomorrow.
    SkyeDS: good idea
    SkyeDS: truck out tonight
SkyeDS: they want me to haul this weekend
SkyeDS: so I'll take the horses to waco for Jubilee's birthday
    evile: who's a 'they'?
    SkyeDS: the shop
SkyeDS: only way to know if it's fixed is to pull (since that's
    wherein the problem lie)
evile: *nod* I hope it's an uneventful trip, in that case ;)
SkyeDS: also dog/housesitting in South Austin for Hugh this weekend
    SkyeDS: lots of driving (sigh)
    evile: sounds like!
SkyeDS: I told Sineater he didn't have to go to Waco, he could housesit
and enjoy the lap of luxury but he wants to go
evile: I rather think he ought to wait and decide until after he's
    had his hand cut on...
evile: but that would make too much sense. what am I thinking?
SkyeDS: lol too easy. men don't like easy.
    SkyeDS: mine dont' anyway
evile: well, if you were in a mood to be sweet, you wouldn't hold him
to his determination to go, if he ends up feeling as bad as I suspect
    he will after surgery.
SkyeDS: why would I do that
evile: be sweet? no idea :P
    SkyeDS: no
SkyeDS: hold him to his determination to go
evile: hopefull he'll feel up to it.
evile: I wouldn't expect much out of him fro the next while, if it
    was me.
SkyeDS: if he doesn't feel good I'm going to strongly suggest that he
enjoy Hugh's home and keep Hugh's dogs and cat good company
evile: *nod* put it right and he might feel good about it--save you
the trip, take care of the house, etc etc.
SkyeDS: we're getting paid for it
SkyeDS: so it would be a good thing
    evile: nice
SkyeDS: on days where there's nothing wrong with him he never wants
    to do anything
    evile: I'm a lazyass too, so I can't go pointing at pots/kettles.
SkyeDS: I just find it amusing that he wants to go right after surgery
SkyeDS: maybe that's like me putting more effort into cooking when we
    camp then at home
evile: could be some bizare macho thing that us XX types just don't
    get.
evile: anyhoo, time for me to scoot. see y'all tomorrow.
