Tuesday night, the trooper lost all its water out of the radiator and
overheated. So I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use it on Wednesday to
go to polydinner. I got home after work yesterday and the car was in
the driveway. I assumed that if Sweetie hadn't driven it to work, it
wasn't drive-able. He got home and then said something about the
tires being low on air. Then he watched the Simpsons, and eventually
sometime after that, filled the tires back up.

Then we went to Jack in the Box and I got a hugantic meal for the
    Jack Ball to give Lynn.

Then we went and parked downtown & took the shuttle to see the lights
at Zilker. We finally found Keith & Kate under the big tree with
their friend Marco. We visited with them, then we all went to WanFu2
and hung out a bit. Things were frantic, Sweetie was vulgar (but
apparently entertaining), and it was an OK time. I always like seeing
them, but they're busy people and really don't have time to really
spend with us, so I don't really feel like wasting too much energy on
them. I told Sweetie that when they condescend to spend time with us,it's
basically a social mercy fuck, and he seemed distressed by that, but
that's my feeling, anyway. At first, I just thought they were really
busy because everytime we DID actually get together with them, we had
fun, and I hoped that eventually it would become more frequent. I've
since come to realize that we're not a priority for them, no matter
how much fun we seem to have together. It's sad, but good to know the
    truth.

Keith asked me if I still did my glass & jewelry, that hurt a bit...I
guess that part of me isn't entirely dead after all, if it still
    hurt.

evile: One day closer to Friday!!!!
    SkyeDS: I'm getting so senile
SkyeDS: yesterday I thought today was Friday
evile: oh, ick! I hate it when that happens!!
evile: Tomorrow's a fatass day at work, so we're not going to get
anything done. It might as well be Friday today.
SkyeDS: when ya leavin for LVN? and when comin home?
evile: Leaving Xmas eve, returning day after Xmas.
SkyeDS: methinks that's what I'll do w Texarkana
SkyeDS: I am making some attempts to find horse sitters
SkyeDS: but so far I can still make the point to my parents that no
one I trust is home on Xmas.
evile: *nod* I'm sure that's troublesome this time of year...
    SkyeDS: or, available, more like
    evile: yup
evile: I think I need to make some time to get unstressed soon. I
mean, please, there are people who would kill or die to have the
    kinds of 'problems' I have.
    SkyeDS: soon = before Vegas?
    evile: yes, definitely.
evile: I'm taking next Tues. off to spend solstice with Rio & San
Antonio folx, so that'll be good.
    evile: (assuming there's a drive-able vehicle...ugh.)
    SkyeDS: :|
evile: Yeah well...I can always rent one, if I really need to.
    SkyeDS: good idea
evile: I think the blue trooper either needs a new battery, or just a
recharge on the existing one, because it's been sitting so long.
So...we'll see. I keep telling Sweetie that if he gets rid of one
vehicle, I'll lease another one that he can use if all of his go tits
    up at once.
evile: Though, why one needs 4 unreliable cars instead of just 1 or 2
reliable ones is a concept which escapes me.
    SkyeDS: nods complete agmt.
evile: I am not going to make the front of our house any trashier
than it is by having a car that I have to park at the curb because
Sweetie won't get rid of one of his.
    SkyeDS: might get hit, too.
SkyeDS: vandalized, any kind of bad thing
    evile: yup.
evile: exactly. And I know from experience that a scratch on a lease
car is too damned expensive to deal with.
    SkyeDS: ya
evile: we have a speed bump right out front now, and all it does is
make people swerve insanely to hit the bumps with less force
SkyeDS: what an annoying place they put it, too
evile: So I can just see some a-hole swerving to get 1 tire between
the bump and knocking the crap out of a car parked there.
SkyeDS: bad time of year for drunk drivers too
SkyeDS: a pair of cops just got killed on a motorcycle. She was a
Commander for crying out loud. She was .33 and he was .24
    evile: wow. sad.
SkyeDS: that's their BAC btw not their ages
SkyeDS: they left a bar where more than 100 other cops saw them
    smashed
SkyeDS: rode their bike through the bar, damaging the floor
SkyeDS: and nobody stopped them. Not the bartender, not the other
    cops, nada.
    evile: That sucks.
    SkyeDS: J-Law LOL that's funny!
SkyeDS: we got an xmas card with "fa law law law law, law law law
    law" in it
evile: Well, I have too many J's that I know, so she's J-Law. Because
she's bootielicious like J-Lo, and shes' a lawyer.
SkyeDS: that's just too good :) (I know, I'm too easily amused)
evile: I thought it was cute. Glad you like it :)
evile: I figure I should try not to put actual names in my online
journal, esp. if the person doesn't have one of their own--they might
not want their business spattered all over the internet.
SkyeDS: LJs = big source of trouble, yep yep
evile: Lots of potential for big hairy drama, that's for sure.
SkyeDS: I want to eat a whole bunch of stuff that I know isn't good
    for me and then sleep.
evile: yup, I definitely know that feeling. I try to settle for a hot
    bath & bed instead.
evile: I was up wayy past my bedtime last night, so I'm really bushed
    today.
SkyeDS: now i want to eat what's not good for me, have a hot bath,
    and go to sleep lol
    evile: heehee.
evile: I'd settle for just going home and going to bed at this point.
    SkyeDS: ya
SkyeDS: I'm calculating invoices for every month in the past year
and then a yearly (because I haven't done it in months)
    evile: sounds like fun. not!
evile: I have a lot to do, so I can't crash out right away when I get
home, even though I really want to. I have to make L's forgotten
    cookies.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: wow, I'm experiencing my first bad time with an amazon.com
    book purchase.
    SkyeDS: ? :(
evile: I ordered a book from one of the affiliated sellers who sell
new & used versions of whatever, for cheaper. I ordered a book on
Nov. 19 and it's not here yet.
SkyeDS: they do that media mass mail
SkyeDS: supposedly takes two weeks but sometimes can take four
SkyeDS: last time I did mass media mail, it took the whole four
SkyeDS: wait. what DID they use to ship?
evile: Well, 4 weeks would have been Monday, and now it's Thursday.
At the 1 month mark, I'm leaving bad feedback.
evile: I sent email with all the info and got an automated response
that iddn't really give me any info.
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: Hopefully there is a human who also looks at email at some
    point.
evile: I guess 1 transaction in however many dozen is not too bad of
    odds.
    SkyeDS: true
evile: not like it was a rare book or anything, just a paperback I
didn't want to pay $8 for.
evile: I guess I need to go to half price books, to get airplane
reading, anyway, so I'll see if I can find the book I ordered, too,
and then see if amazon will refund me or cancel the order or
    whatever..
    SkyeDS: good idea
evile: but, yeah, if the seller did media mail, there's no proof they
    didn't send it
    SkyeDS: don't like media mail
SkyeDS: one bad thing about half.com = media mail
evile: yeah. My postman likes to fold stuff into the box, no matter
how big the envelope is. He mangled my nice big book of Gilbert
    Williams art.
SkyeDS: that is deserving of a complaint at the PO
SkyeDS: I have had to complain about postal workers treatment of my
    mail before
evile: well, since it was a used book, media mail, I don't really
have any proof of original condition, so I couldn't say for sure that
the damage was all the result of the thing being folded in half to
    fit into my box.
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: Overall, I'd still rather shop online and have stuff mailed to
me than go out and shove my way through the mouthbreathing masses to
try and find what I want.
    SkyeDS: oh amen
SkyeDS: I have been asked why I don't just pick stuff up in Austin
    before or after work
SkyeDS: well let's see...I drive two hours every day, work 8 or 9, no
lunch hour, because my day is already so long, why don't I want to go
    shopping?
    evile: *nod* no shit.
SkyeDS: and having things delivered to work beats the shit out of
having them delivered to the house when I'm not there and I don't
    trust certain of my neighbors
    evile: yup
evile: Stepdad prefers to have stuff delivered to him at work, too.
evile: Interesting quote in latte's .sig:
    "Just because i am submissive
does not mean i am not Your equal...
    i am slave to ONE...
    equal to all Others,
    and doormat to NONE"
    SkyeDS: I LIKE that
    evile: me too.
evile: I have had a lot of my ignorant assumptions about submissives
blown away by poly group & gwnn.
evile: Kind of funny, since I've had submissives in the past...but
always kind of wondered why they'd choose that role or what they got
out of it....but seeing the interactions between dom/mes and subs, I
am finally getting to understand and respect what motivates people to
    be subs.
evile: (other than laziness, which I despise)
SkyeDS: education is always beneficial :)
    evile: *nod*
evile: I want a girl sub now...I saw something at the after-munch
party on Saturday that just rocked my world.
evile: Of course, the pitfall of learning is learning how ignorant
you are and how very much there is still to be learned.
evile: I have not made mistakes that were dangerous to anyone, but I
realize now that I didn't know enough to be doing what I was doing,
and have a lot to learn before I try again.
evile: I found a lawn service that responds to EMAIL and speaks
    English! HUZZAH!
evile: I will have an estimate tomorrow afternoon and they'll be able
to come do the yard sometime next week. :)
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: that's a big load off my mind.
    SkyeDS: good deal!
evile: Yup. I hope he doesn't want too much $ for it...but I will
pay, regardless, for the peace of mind of having it done and having a
nice exterior to present to the visiting 'rents.
evile: The Interior is still all me, but I can handle it.
evile: The English thing is very key. Last time I ended up paying a
guy $40 for mowing the front yard. NO edging, no trimming, nothing. I
was kinda pissed, but then he did the 'i'm stupid and I don't speak
english' thing so i never was able to get what I wanted. My fault for
assuming I could get what I wanted for only $40--if it sounds too
good to be true, it is!
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: *shrug* he probably needed the money more than I did, anyway.
evile: well, time for me to hit the road.
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: *hugs* talk at ya tomorrow.
    SkyeDS: :D
