    evile: hey, busy lady!
    SkyeDS: hola
evile: I took a sick day yesterday, I think I needed to sleep.
SkyeDS: I should have taken one today
SkyeDS: I hope you feel better?
SkyeDS: first I hydroplaned off the highway, and then my battery
    connectors needed replacing
evile: Yeah. I was just very tired. Woke up with the usual sore
throat & headache, but that's typical for this time of year
    (allergies)
SkyeDS: it has been a vexing morning
    evile: Sorry to hear that!
SkyeDS: for a brief few moments I thought I was going to die
    evile: that would be bad
evile: Today was not a good day for transpo. My bus died on the side
    of I-35 this a.m.
    SkyeDS: they send another one?
evile: No, they sent a maintenance vehicle. We were close enough to a
stop, so we all just piled on the next one in the schedule.
evile: You still working at UT tonight?
    SkyeDS: nodnod
evile: Glad your hectic morning didn't ruin that for you, then.
SkyeDS: considering that I could have been seriously injured, I could
have been killed, the truck could have been damaged possibly past
repair, today was actually a good day.
SkyeDS: and nobody is ever going to talk me out of my belief in
    angels.
SkyeDS: and I proved to myself that I can remain in control of my
emotions, despite being biochemically disposed to insanity (period
    starting tomorrow)
    evile: *nod*
    evile: glad you're OK.
SkyeDS: I didn't get the names of the first strangers to help me
SkyeDS: but I do know that the little mechanic's name is wes, he
comes from Lexington (close to where we live) and he works at
    Oreilly's in Taylor.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I'm going to stop by there, and give him one of my business
cards with "One Free Hour" on the back, he can give it away to
someone who would enjoy it, if he wouldn't.
evile: That sounds like a very nice thing to do :)
SkyeDS: I think I may just sit here and have a nice quiet cry now
    that everything's over with
evile: *nod* Sounds like a plan. Sometimes that really helps you to
    feel better
SkyeDS: I never fall to pieces until everything's said and done
SkyeDS: kinda stupid to fall apart at that point
evile: at that point, it's a stress reliever. Better to handle the
situation and then lose it, IMHO.
SkyeDS: yeah, but it still feels silly to lose it at all, after
    everything turns out ok
evile: I know that feeling...but it's best to just go with it, do the
stress-release, and go on rather than bottling things up.
evile: If you want a shoulder, I can walk over.
SkyeDS: thanks very much for the offer :)
SkyeDS: I'm just going to be glad I have an office to hole up in,
    with real doors
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and unlimited access to Hugh's satellite radio, since he's
out of town teaching a seminar.
SkyeDS: and thank god I don't have to do anything besides answer the
    phone
    evile: good deal.
evile: I actually have something here for you that I found at world
market the other day. I could pop by on my afternoon break, if you're
    up for a visit.
SkyeDS: if you don't mind that my office is a pigsty, I would be
    happy to entertain you
evile: It would just be a quick stop, but I dont' mind the state of
    your office. :)
SkyeDS: I think I'm going to order my lights, fill out my application
for the parade, and then play spades (dammit)
evile: *nod* sounds like a plan!
evile: My break is at 2:30, so I'll wander thataway around that time.
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: If I can hit up a 'date' for Madrigal, I'll try to come on
    Thursday.
SkyeDS: I hope that would be cool
SkyeDS: I hate to vouch for it being cool and then have it be a flop
SkyeDS: I tend to have fun regardless of how the food turns out or
the play, because I dress up, sing and read cards, so I usually have
fun regardless of what goes on around
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: wow we posted 4 min apart :)
    evile: *grinz*
SkyeDS: I wonder how successful the libertarians would be if they
tried to take over the Republican party.
evile: Tonight's poly dinner. I would ditch it, but I promised Nolan
    I'd give him a ride.
SkyeDS: I have high regard for this one State Rep, Susanna Hupp (sp),
who is very libertarian in her beliefs, and chose the Republican
party so she could be elected and actually accomplish something.
evile: And then I have to find some time to call G. back--he left a
message o the machine while I was at skate night last night & when I
got back i thought it would be too late to call.
    SkyeDS: he's probably upset.
evile: All he said was he had 'some questions'...I'm paranoid that
he's going to get after me for being unsupportive of mom.
evile: You'd think I'd learn my fucking lesson and NOT get between
scorpio men and their chosen mates.
SkyeDS: I am trying to learn from Hugh about how to handle difficult
parentals, when they try to treat you like you're 5.
evile: Even though my most derogatory comment was that it is TERRIBLY
unfair to G for Mom to be living in San Antonio on his dime, doing
    for those worthless lazyasses.
SkyeDS: "if I need defending I'll defend myself"
    SkyeDS: (that's just a guess)
    evile: *nod* more than likely.
SkyeDS: next time I get a grilling from either one of mine about why
I did what I did, whatever that may be, I'm going to say, I have my
    reasons
SkyeDS: I will explain them to you once.
SkyeDS: I will answer questions, once.
    SkyeDS: after that, discussion over.
    SkyeDS: no debate.
evile: I have the right to my opinion. I am not going to bitch at Mom
or G about it, but Mom straight up ASKED me what I thought, and I
    told her.
SkyeDS: not fair to get mad at you for obliging her
SkyeDS: I know, I'm stuck in childhood with regard to my views about
    fair (vs peace & quiet)
evile: And, of course, [aunt L] & I have talked about it and shared our
    opinions iwth one another freely...
SkyeDS: I'm glad you have her to do that with.
evile: I'm just being paranoid. I have no idea what he was calling
about. The timing on it is just problematic.
SkyeDS: I wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall in the room with him
right now, in general, where A&L are concerned
    evile: yup
evile: this thanksgiving, I think I'll try to follow [Sister H]s lead.
She is really good at just getting along, without being a doormat. So
    I'll try that.
evile: Of course, she actually likes the kids, and they actually talk
    to her.
SkyeDS: I suspect I'd learn alot from H. if I had more time around
    her.
evile: The children didn't interact with me at all the last few times
    I saw them.
SkyeDS: my only interaction was the oldest one looking up at me with
wide eyes and wanting to talk about my Shadowfax.
evile: I don't know if that's a result of some social retardedness or
from hearing rubber_pig badmouth me and maybe making them scared of me....
evile: Oh well. I'm sure that actually calling G back will not be
nearly as bad as whatever I've got in my head about it.
    SkyeDS: hope not :)
evile: He & I have had serious disagreements in the past...we both
survived & still love & respect one another. So...it will be OK.
SkyeDS: I just got invited to call a film maker about being in a
    period piece. hm.
    evile: interesting!
    SkyeDS: wow
    evile: ?
SkyeDS: I was just thinking I could be an extra, off to the side, in
my garb, with my horse and my bird and a sword or staff or something
SkyeDS: but they might want to cast me in the supporting role to the
    lead villainess
    SkyeDS: as a sorcerer's apprentice
evile: it's not as glamorous as it looks, being an extra. Supporting
role would be more fun :)
SkyeDS: I don't know that I can act.
evile: *shrug* I guess you'll find out....
SkyeDS: from the way he described the role, I'd just have to act
    naturally.
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: I do think being a bad guy henchwoman would be more fun than
    a good guy.
evile: movie making is a lot of standing around, mostly. A few
minutes of action, and more standing around.
SkyeDS: I mean come on, who would you have rather been? Orli Bloom or
Jack Davenport? Or Johnny Depp or Geoffrey Rush.
    evile: heh.
evile: the baddies usually get the best lines & wardrobe, that's for
    sure.
    SkyeDS: this is so sad.
SkyeDS: this is like the story of my life:
SkyeDS: Not to be outdone, DAGMARA brazenly utters her own audacious
    remark, complete with lively gestures.

SkyeDS: As she bursts into her own inane cackle, the laughter from
the others gradually tapers off to nil, their humored expressions
    replaced with bemused disapproval.

After gradually recognizing the effect her insipid outburst had on
the waning mood of her associates, Dagmara tries, ultimately in vain,
    to clarify her remarks.

    evile: *laff*
evile: I think I'm gonna sneak on out & come see you for a minute. :)
    SkyeDS: cool :)
SkyeDS: I'm going to finish my email and sit in the floor with the
    typewriter
    evile: Ok. see ya soon!

evile: back safe to my office. Everyon'es still sitting around
    talking.
    SkyeDS: :)
evile: Assuming Terriblelynne & I can work out logistics, looks like I have a
    date for Madrigal tomorrow :)
    SkyeDS: oh Cool :)
evile: Terriblelynne is good people. I like spending time with her.
evile: Bonus for spending time w/her in garb :P
    SkyeDS: she acts/writes/directs no?
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: she might enjoy Madrigal if for no other reason than to laugh
at how bad it all is lol
evile: *shrug* If the show's no good, she and I can make our own
    fun. :)
SkyeDS: it occurs to me to post this film project to HFS, duh
evile: that's an idea, as long as the filmmaker doesn't have issues
    with minors...
SkyeDS: that would all come out in the wash, I would imagine.
    evile: *nod*
evile: well, time for me to throw papers.
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: Have fun tonight! I can't wait to hear all about it! *hugs!*
