I'm just not motivated at all to be here today. I'd rather be at
home, sleeping. I went to bed early-ish (not pathologically so, just
maybe a half hour before my usual bedtime) and just had wierd dreams
all night. It's probably a mark of mental health, but I notice that
my dreams do get weird around the full moon. Last night's was
something about being in a big old barn full of hay and antiques with
Mom, [g/stepdad/sineater's dad], sineater, and UB, and sleeping on an old couch (that my bio-
father actually owns in RL) and sineater covering me up with a big
blanket or cape made out of black feathers. wtf, man.

(I was also sleeping with my new tarot deck under my pillow, which I
will do until Wednesday, and then actually open the package & look at
    the cards)

Today is [brother A]'s bday. [Aunt L] and Elaine are going to San Antonio to
visit. I hope [rubber pig] isn't a completely selfish twat and lets [brother A]
actually enjoy some birthday happiness. Oh, fuck, what am I saying,
of course she won't. Everything's all about [rubber pig], all the time, and
everyone must watch & applaud as she performs "The Great and
Wonderful [rubber pig] Show" 24/7/365. Oh well. *sigh* it's so goddamned
hard to love someone so much and know it means nothing and it does no
    good.

    evile: hi :)
    SkyeDS: afternoon :)
    evile: how's your day going?
SkyeDS: I was awakened early this morning by a phone call from the
mtg co telling me they're foreclosing on my house tomorrow.
evile: the house you live in your house?
    SkyeDS: yes
    evile: wow. that sucks.
SkyeDS: and because sineater has been making the mtg payments I can't do
anything but let him handle it.
    evile: *nod*
evile: it's just so wierd that something like that would come out of
    the clear blue...
    SkyeDS: yep
SkyeDS: you can't foreclose without at least one, I think three,
    legal notices
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: now granted, he gets the mail, he could ostensibly have
    hidden them, lost them, whatever
    evile: yeah...
SkyeDS: lots of things going through my mind right now. Sue for
    harassment. Kill. Mostly kill.
evile: well, a jail term for murde would definitely give you
    someplace to live for awhile...
SkyeDS: Flying a plane into them would be amusing.
evile: I dont have the legal expertise you do, but I seem to remember
the Sawyers getting out of their foreclosure several years ago under
some part of the homestead laws.
evile: (this is when [brother A] was 5-6, so I'm talking lonnnng time ago.
    it may not exist anymore)
SkyeDS: unless sineater has lost/hidden notices, they can't foreclose
tomorrow. which means that was a scare tactic. a not legal scare
tactic I"d be willing to bet but I need to do my research.
SkyeDS: I've done evictions but not foreclosures.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: but eviction law in texas is so renter-friendly, I can't
believe foreclosure law would be slanted towards the holder of the
    mortgage.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: first they have to file a lawsuit to foreclose. I have had
    no notices of lawsuit.
evile: that is such a shitty thing to do...
    SkyeDS: http://www.stopforeclosure.com/Texas_Foreclosure_Law.htm
SkyeDS: I don't know if we have a clause in our mtg that allows a
    nonjudicial foreclosure
SkyeDS: but even if we do I can tell you right now they haven't
followed the legal guidelines for that EITHER
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I'm going to let sineater handle it, but I'm still thinking
about finding out the name of a VP (I'm not silly enough to aim for P
or CEO), and writing a letter stating this is the law, I got a
harassing phone call in the early hours of the morning, from one of
your employees who tried to scare the hell out of me by saying he was
going to foreclose on me either tomorrow or in a weeks' time.
SkyeDS: in complete violation of the law, which is as follows (insert
    here).
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: then I'm going to insert some law about creditor harassment
SkyeDS: and see if some satisfaction isn't offered. I doubt it, but
I'll feel better after having tried anyway.
    evile: yeah.
SkyeDS: btw no response was ever forthcoming from the COC about that
    other unpleasant business.
evile: hm. But no more hassles from nasty woman, either?
SkyeDS: she hasn't had opportunity thankfully
SkyeDS: she writes occasionally for the paper so she's probably a
respected pillar of the community meaning I fucked up when I pursued
it anyway, oh well - shrug
evile: it may be that 'no news is good news'? the smackdown has been
laid but in such a way as for everyone to save face & not be
    publically embarassed?
SkyeDS: hope so, but doubt it.
SkyeDS: she does it again, I'll file suit.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: the original order of the tarot cards was Justice 8 and
Strength 11. Which makes a certain amount of sense numerologically.
SkyeDS: After Crowley/Rider/Waite, they were exchanged - Str 8 Just 11
    evile: huh. wierd.
SkyeDS: anyway, if you boil down my year cycle (birth month, birth
day, added to current year) you get 8
SkyeDS: and I certainly have been having brushes with the legal
system lately. two tickets completely undeserved that have to be
    contested in court.
    SkyeDS: and now this shit.
evile: Justice + queen of swords = one righteous bitch!
evile: You can kick all lllll their butts!
SkyeDS: there are so many things that have happened to me that called
    for suit.
SkyeDS: and I didn't pursue it.
SkyeDS: because of all people, I know what a drain of time, money and
every other precious resource a suit is.
    evile: yup. very big PITA
SkyeDS: but right now damned if I'm not tempted to just start laying
    about with a sword.
evile: I am the queen of ugly letters. I don't know if they
accomplish anything, but they do make me feel better. Might be
therapeutic for you to just get everything out on paper, and then
decide from there what actions to take & which letters to actually
work on sending & which to just burn for stress-relief.
SkyeDS: sineater says that we have in writing a restructured payment plan
SkyeDS: he says that we've met it
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: he says they say that this one person has the ability to
    foreclose on us DESPITE that
SkyeDS: and that no one else in the department can help us
    evile: that sounds very fishy.
SkyeDS: and this one person is not answering his phone
SkyeDS: I told him to get a supervisor's name pronto
    evile: wtf.
SkyeDS: and to put all correspondence in writing and fax it.
    evile: *nodnod*
SkyeDS: sineater has been trying to give them money all morning and they
say this one person is the only one who can accept it.
evile: that sounds like crap to me.
    SkyeDS: me too.
evile: I can see wanting all transactions to go thru one rep, to
minimize confusion, but if the rep is absent, his/her supervisor
ought to be able to take care of a payment, yes?
    SkyeDS: better be able to
SkyeDS: the supervisor allegedly comes in at 2 pm o ur time, so we
    shall see.
evile: crazy way to do business, otherwise. don't they WANT your
    money?
SkyeDS: if they don't play ball with sineater then they can play global
    thermonuclear warfare with me.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: am tempted to do full moon ritual, be a big cry baby, plead
to have this all just go away, and then hide under my bed.
    evile: sounds good to me.
evile: If it's clear enough to see, the eclipse should be spectacular.
    SkyeDS: oh t hat's right.
SkyeDS: I can't do ritual during an eclipse either.
SkyeDS: will just have to do it before or after
    evile: that's interesting.
SkyeDS: am also not supposed to do ritual on my period. at least not
open and close circle myself. which is problematic, since I practice
    alone.
SkyeDS: problem being that my period falls on full moon as often as
    not.
    evile: lots of rules.
SkyeDS: I play by the spirit of the rules, and not by the letter. I
have been ridiculed somewhat recently for that, but considering the
    source, so what.
evile: I sort of take a 'cookbook' approach to it.
evile: obvously there are a few basic things you need to make
cookies. And there are some things you definitely should NOT put in
cookies. But there's lots of room to play within the basic cookie
    recipe.
evile: And, of course, you should never make cookies when you're
drunk or tired or otherwise too distracted, otherwise the cookies
    will burn.
SkyeDS: if I had help from extra hands I could probably adapt the
    streghe ritual to horseback :P
evile: horsie strega are probably harder to find than either horse-
    people or stregas alone.
SkyeDS: don't necessarily need streghe training just to fetch stuff
back and forth from altar to me
SkyeDS: although I do understand why not open/close circle on period
evile: As you know, I'm not good at being the doggie.
SkyeDS: no but sonar0m does alright at fetch and carry, with simple
    things anyway :P
evile: I imagine it has to do with menstrual taboos from older
    cultures
SkyeDS: actually it has to do with energy
SkyeDS: it's hard to raise energy when it's literally flowing out of
    you
    evile: *nod* exactly.
SkyeDS: and I don't feel like it anyway, probably because of the low
energy level and really bad cramps
evile: and menstrual taboos from older cultures also have to do with
that energy exchange between seen/unseen worlds
SkyeDS: Raven has a Sumerian (?) menstrual blood collecting bowl
    evile: ew.
SkyeDS: I can't remember now if it's Etruscan or Sumerian but at any
    rate it's quite ancient
    evile: *blinkblink*
SkyeDS: too bad I didn't save any blood last week, could have used
it, and some black candles, at Shadowfest, and basically told all bad
shit to go away and leave me the fuck alone
evile: Oh well. Intent often works for me, even if I dont have all
    the props.
SkyeDS: you know that to be third degree in Raven's system you have
to have intercourse with a third degree of the opposite sex?
    evile: so you've said.
SkyeDS: and that a great deal of Inner Court magick is worked with
    bodily fluids. all of them.
evile: I find Raven's attitudes towards sex to be repugnant,
    personally.
SkyeDS: you do n't see me falling down over myself to become
    initiate, much less 3d degree.
evile: To me it's rape.. sorry, but unwilling/unloving sex, for
    whatever reasons, is rape.
evile: and to coerce sex from someone in the name of some loving
god/dess is even more disgusting than merely coercing sex because you
    want it.
evile: I've traded emails with him on the subject, and I think he's a
pig. Sorry, he may be knowledgable, he may be popular and
    influential, but he's a pig.
SkyeDS: according to his books, all of Aradia's original coven had
sex together by way of sharing mysteries or whatever
SkyeDS: and that's probably where he took that notion
SkyeDS: anyway, he can do what he likes, I'll study, keep what works
for me, and not the rest
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and if I'm Affini the rest of this life and never anything
    more, I don't know what I'm missing therefore I don't miss it
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: I happen to have a pretty good relationship with the powers
that be most of the time anyway, so I don't do too bad on my own.
SkyeDS: by Raven's own litmus test, I am of the Blood from birth,
whether he and his like it or not.
evile: for me, people mostly just get in the way. what's between me
    and Divine is exactly that.
evile: You don't like cardamom in your cookies, fine, but you don't
tell me what to do in my own kitchen.
SkyeDS: what did Raven say to you? I'm just curious.
evile: Oh, I don't even remember anymore, it was just basically him
    justifying rape and sexual torture.
SkyeDS: he is, btw, an Aries. Generally speaking, they like to
pontificate without having done their research aforehand. Which
means that true scholars can poke holes in their arguments big enough
to drive a mack truck through.
SkyeDS: kaleon did that, I tried to break him of that habit. sonar0m
is trying to stop doing that, I would assume because he's tired of me
    shooting his assertions down.
    evile: *nod*
evile: I'd have no problem with the academic side of things, but
the 'tude is obnoxious. Just because I don't put nuts in my cookies,
does not make me 'weak-minded' bad or stupid.
SkyeDS: well, it's the attitude that allows them to argue the way
    they do
evile: But that whole 'my way or the highway' bullshit...there is
basically NO other way to piss me off as surely or quickly.
SkyeDS: they expect you to just accept what they say as gospel, and
the attitutde is to force it down your throat.
evile: You do what you want in your kitchen, but fuck you if you want
to come to my kitchen and call me names.
SkyeDS: when I first met kaleon, he was pontificating about the ankh.
I questioned his sources, to which he answered, it's my major.
    evile: that boy. *sigh*
SkyeDS: And I said, well, look here. I already have my degree, and
one of my double minors happens to be Classics
SkyeDS: and in addition, I've been practicing pagan for many years in
    addition to scholarly study
SkyeDS: and your'e full of shit
SkyeDS: and here are first hand sources to prove my point for me
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: which is what that sort of bombastic attitude will get you.
evile: *nod* but when you've basically made up your own religion,
it's hard for people to 'disprove' the facts that you made up...
SkyeDS: burden of proof lies on Raven, not everyone else.
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: Aries need to learn that you must have an answer to "prove
    it"..."cite your sources"
SkyeDS: that "I saw it on the Discovery/History/Learning CHannel"
SkyeDS: or on a website somewhere
SkyeDS: or some teacher told me
    SkyeDS: doesn't count
SkyeDS: and the Aries "it is true because *I* said so" ??? please
    evile: heh.
evile: Raven has enough sycophants to be able to say that.
evile: and he's not 100% full of shit, either.
SkyeDS: I am content to be friends with Gaia, Maggie and Iona. I am
capable of learning what I find of use from them.
    evile: *nod*
    SkyeDS: no he isn't.
SkyeDS: but the problem is, some people will throw out the baby with
    the bathwater
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: because some of what he says can't be backed up
SkyeDS: I surmise that Raven has people doing research for him (which
    would be a good thing)
evile: well, alot of it is supposedly fam.trad, which I can tell you
isn't really as codified & notated as alot of modern day pagans say.
    SkyeDS: oh hell no
evile: I've got all kinds of bizarre family superstitions/wierdness
on both sides, none of which was codifed into ritual or passed on in
    any kind of way.
SkyeDS: how can it be? so many modern traditions claim descent from
the Celts, who didn't write anything down, because ogham was sacred
SkyeDS: Raven has published a very little of Tongue of the Moon,
which is ostensibly what his entire Book of Ways is written in
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and is a language somewhere in between Etruscan, Latin and
    Italian
SkyeDS: but I've never seen any mention of it from any linguistic
    scholar.
SkyeDS: when I asked Amberlynn, who is 3d degree, to tell me what the
Tongue of the Moon passage in the Lupercus ritual translated to, she
    couldn't tell me
    evile: hm.
SkyeDS: all she could tell me is what powerful things have happened
in all of her Lupercus rituals after having intoned the passage.
SkyeDS: I'm like, ok, well, I have problems saying things when I
    don't know what I'm saying.
SkyeDS: I'd like to know what I'm saying and to whom BEFORE hand and
    not find out afterwards.
    evile: makes sense to me.
SkyeDS: mind you, she didn't say I can't tell you because it's
    oathbound
SkyeDS: she said she didn't know.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: now, if she's 3d degree, it means she's studied with Raven,
and was either "initiated" by Raven or Steve, who are the only 3d
    degree men in the States.
    evile: that's handy.
SkyeDS: so why wouldn't she have been taught Tongue of the Moon?
    evile: that is wierd.
evile: I dunno. Raven's brand of religion, whatever reality it comes
    from, is too culty.
    SkyeDS: culty like diet plans
evile: culty being that it's more about the personality(s) involved
    than the teachings & practices.
SkyeDS: but they say the same thing
    evile: http://www.religio.de/cudef.html
SkyeDS: "this does not work unless you do it religiously"
SkyeDS: "you can't mix and match" or cafeteria plan, or keep what
works for you and not what doesn't.
evile: If Grimassi's brand of Stregheria exists even 20 years after
his death I'll be very surprised.
SkyeDS: what the powers that be want to be preserved, will be.
Raven, and any other guru anyone would care to name, will he or nil
    he.
    evile: *nod*
evile: If you still read...LaVecchia, I think it is, in Yahoo groups,
part of our discussion may still be archived. It's been years ago.
    SkyeDS: on very rare occasion
evile: I didn't save any of the email back-and-forth, but I think it
got started in that group, anyway.
SkyeDS: I think you would like Gaia, Maggie and Iona.
    evile: *shrug*
SkyeDS: am amazed that they haven't removed me from Amberlyn's
    newsgroup
SkyeDS: I belong to no less than 2 dozen newsgroups now, and haven't
joined any groups in LJ yet.
    evile: wow.
SkyeDS: there are so many in LJ I wouldn't know where to start (I've
    been looking)
evile: some of the LJ groups are just too active, like
austincommunity. I like to read it, but I would not want it on my
    friends list all the time.
evile: i think there is a way to set up what you read & exclude very
active lists from your casual reading, even if they'reon your list.
But I don't know what it is. I think Pace does that.
SkyeDS: I'm having a good time, wading into LJ in little baby steps
the way I have so far
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I gave Lady Lorraine (Laura) my word that I would compete at
Gulf Wars for her sake, because we didn't have enough people
competing at the last war in any division other than advanced
SkyeDS: so she needs beginners and intermeds and I told her me and
mine would do that, so I included myself
    evile: cool.
SkyeDS: and after the boys finish their official competitions, at
every event we go to, I make practice runs on Mirage
SkyeDS: I already know I can compete on Jesse (anyone could)
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: so I just kind of wade around on my own, I generally end up
all the way in the deep end if left to my own devices
SkyeDS: but it doesn't work to throw me in or push me in
    evile: yup
SkyeDS: Mirage doesn't really have heart for the game and Jesse
does. So the deal I have with Mirage is, do what I ask you, without
spooking or refusing, and I'll quit asking you to do it.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: sineater says that the rep's attitude changed greatly when sineater
left a msg w the supervisor
SkyeDS: I told him, I want a receipt AND I want a "work out" agmt in
    *writing*
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: how funny. I didn't know who Bettie Page was til you
mentioned her and this quizzy says that's what Pin Up Girl I'd be lol
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: bout time for you to go
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: yup. good luck with everything at home. *hugs*
SkyeDS: mille grazie. I'm sorry I wasn't good company today.
evile: No prob. I've whined at you plenty about stuff that was
insignificant compared to what you're dealing with today.
SkyeDS: nothing that flying a plane into them wouldn't solve. :)
evile: good luck with those flying lessons, then :P
    SkyeDS: ROFL ;D
evile: *hugs* I hope everything works out. Take care, 'kay?
