evile: hey :) good weekend?
SkyeDS: lol 108 heat index Saturday
SkyeDS: course construction and marshal both sucked so all three of
us did poorly
SkyeDS: but went to drandmir Sunday and had good time anyway
evile: I know, we were miserable here, too.
evile: I thought briefly about Drandmir, but it was too hot.
evile: I'm sick of bitching about it...but what the bloddy hell is
[brother A] THINKING, to be having a baby when he couldn't even take care of
his goddamned dog. *growl*
evile: Did some research on heartworms...it's awful. the treatment is
almost as deadly as the worms themselves. And the vet will need to
retest in 4 months and possibly do it all again if they didn't all
die.
SkyeDS: Connie seems to have pretty instantly taken a liking to
Paulie.
SkyeDS: has Paulie got worms?
evile: Sounds like. I'm really really glad.
evile: Yeah, Connie called Friday to say that he tested positive for
heartworms.
SkyeDS: I guess I'm not surprised. Keeping an animal healthy costs.
SkyeDS: I've had to eat ramen for many weeks to keep the children
paid for.
evile: She sounded so distressed about it. I know I would be too.
HOnestly, I'd rather be where I am, throwing money at it from afar,
not having to deal with the reality of the vet's office
SkyeDS: I hate to say this but medically speaking Paulie is better
off where he is
SkyeDS: with two women who care enough about him to keep him taken
care of where the vet is concerned.
SkyeDS: I hope, with three children already, that those two
understand that children need shots and medical care too.
evile: Well...if [brother A] had given a shit there are at least 3 people in
the family (me, Mom, [Aunt L]) who would have paid for Paulie's vet bills
if [brother A] had bothered to make him appointments or do anything for him.
evile: With kids, we have Medicaid, so that irresponsible welfare
sucking whores can have all the babies they want and somebody else
pays their shots & medical care.
SkyeDS: I still think China is right on that one account
SkyeDS: gov. gives you money for one kid. You have more, you pay for
them.
evile: and the schools practically has to raise the little
psychopaths now, they come to kindergarten feral.
SkyeDS: nah. we're about to have taxpayerfunded preschool and
daycare required.
evile: I wonder if our country is going to have to suck as bad as
CHina before soembody does something reasonable here in the US about
population.
SkyeDS: like Lenin and Marx said, gotta grab them as early as three
to properly indoctrinate them
evile: ugh.
evile: reason 1,300,023 why I'm never having any kids!
SkyeDS: I wish I were being facetious but I'm not
evile: *nod* I know. I've taken cognitive psych. people are basically
who they're gonna be by age 5.
SkyeDS: "but it's for the chirren" makes me homicidal
evile: nodnod.
SkyeDS: here, let me put my hands all over the sweat of your brow,
because it's for the chirren
SkyeDS: here, you pay for everyone else's lack of personal
responsibility, because it's for the chirren
evile: *sigh* aint it the truth...
evile: any plans for the equinox?
SkyeDS:
hadn't much thought about it.
SkyeDS: i basically plod through my work week so that I can go out
and play at events on weekends, and I live from event to event
evile: Just makin' conversation, didn't want you to feel guilty. I
know what yo u mean...it's really hard to do anything during the week.
SkyeDS: if I could just do ritual from horseback, ROFL
SkyeDS: actually the Ft Hood Wiccans had their Lughanasad while we
were out there at that event
SkyeDS: if I had known I would have asked to join them, but I had a
good time at the Pub with the Bards.
evile: *shrug* I dont' see why you couldn't write a horseback ritual
that would be relevant & spiritual for you.
SkyeDS: I should just do what I'm supposed to do and get it over with
SkyeDS: I just wish I didn't feel that way about it
SkyeDS: it's only an hour or so
evile: 'get it over with'...ick. not a good way to feel about
spending time with God/dess/
SkyeDS: it isn't the spending of time. it's the ritual that I can
add to but not leave anything out of.
SkyeDS: that's pages long
evile: ritual that doesn't make you feel good or put you next to
god...empty and useless, imho. sorry.
SkyeDS: it's like housecleaning, I know I should do it, but I have
the bad habit of waiting until the mood strikes me.
SkyeDS: I do study, I have done every single one of the rituals in
full, many many times. But right now, full blown Tradition ritual
just, not in the mood for.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: of course, since I do it alone, the brass hats wouldn't know
SkyeDS: and Amberlynn can kiss my fat white Italian ass, I'm not
dealing with her anymore
evile: I'm going to do a bit of cleaning, make a nice meal, and have
a fire.
SkyeDS: when I feel the need for a mentor to study under, again, I
will ask Iona. She may just be 2nd degree and not 3d, like
Amberlynn, but to someone who is just affini, and not even initiate,
so what.
SkyeDS: i could do that, the 23rd is a thursday night, I wouldn't
have to do it alone then
evile: *nod*
evile: This Mabon, I'm going to ask for a wife, dammit.
SkyeDS: Bryce would be a nice present
SkyeDS: I dont' know if he'd make a good "wife" or not.
SkyeDS: but to some, asking for someone specifically by name is a no
no anyway
evile: He & Apple had a pretty nice, tidy home. Unfo, Bryce is
allergic to cats, BIGTIME.
SkyeDS: aw :(
evile: yeah. Oh well.
evile: Oh, and another "end of summer" ritual I need to do: finish
off my endless jug of sangria :)
SkyeDS: yum
evile: yup.
evile: The last 2 summers, I've made a jug of sangria that just sat
in the fridge & got added to as-needed. I like that tradition quite a
bit. It's even better than the endless fruit salad :P
SkyeDS: you are creative in so many ways I'm not, it's sad
SkyeDS: but then I'm not really a creative person at all.
evile: *shrug* Everyone has their own strengths & things they enjoy
doing.
SkyeDS: few days before fall and we end up with summer heat for the
first time this year
evile: I know...bizarre.
evile: I can't wait to go home...I wanna shop, cook & make prep for
big fire. Don't wanna push paper and listen to stupid coworkers.
SkyeDS: I feel so guilty
SkyeDS: I entertain thoughts about doing legal transcription at home
over a high speed internet connection so I don't ever have to drive
to work again.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I've had several offers.
evile: It's good to have options.
SkyeDS: I'll see if we can manage wireless by Xmas.
evile: that would be cool.
SkyeDS: the wireless company doesn't seem like they're in a ny hurry
to add us as customers
SkyeDS: they take a long time to get back to us when we contact them
evile: not a good sign.
SkyeDS: I like DSL but SBC says there are no plans for DSL in my area
any time in the foreseeable future :(
SkyeDS: and what is so annoying about that is, the main SBC
fiberoptic trunk goes smack across my ranch.
evile: yeah...that is irritating.
evile: just had a lightbulb moment in LJ. Rather amusing: this woman
has me on her LJ 'friends' list, and apparently thinks I'm cool or
something. I went to a party a couple months ago that she was at. I
was kind of in a socially-retarded mode, so should not have been at
the party in the first place...but anyway, we did NOT hit it off in
RL. hee.
SkyeDS: I have to admit I still peruse a certain LJ because I'm
enjoying watching the misery
SkyeDS: particularly when it results from things I told him he ought
not do
evile: I read my HS 'friend of friend's LJ cover to cover last Friday.
SkyeDS: (like neglect maintenance on his car rather than spending the
money on boots)
evile: heh.
SkyeDS: "I don't have $60 to spend on oil changes and such"
SkyeDS: well you better find it or you'll be needing more than that
soon
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and then "I just bought a 20 hole five buckle pair of boots"
SkyeDS: what's that, well over $100, no?
SkyeDS: and then $200 for a bike.
SkyeDS: put the money in the car in the first place and you might not
need $1200 in repairs now.
evile: yup.
SkyeDS: wonder if he's riding to work in the boots, LOL
evile: I liked reading senni's journal for same reason.
SkyeDS: never took me an hour and a half to ride five miles, and I'm
not even anywhere near being in shape. That hour and a half gonna be
fun when the weather turns.
evile: She went to vegas and blew $$$ at the Luxor on 'egyptian
artifacts' (haha), internet-ordered voodoo dolls for $40-60, that
would cost $4-6 in New Orleans, and recently declared bankruptcy. Oh,
and posted that her home was drugfree near the beginning of her LJ,
and now smokes up regularly. Ahh, schadenfreunde. or however it's
spelled.
SkyeDS: = karma?
evile: She treated D quite shabbily in HS and their frendship ended
badly, so I guess so
SkyeDS: we are lucky to get what we want rather than what we deserve,
most of the time
SkyeDS: I d on't want to think about what life would be like if I got
what I deserved in every instance
evile: *nod*
evile: But, I've always believed in "God/ess helps those who help
themselves"
evile: A lot of people just don't understand that the first thing to
do when you find yourself in a hole is to STOP DIGGING.
SkyeDS: yep
evile: There but for the grace of God, ya know? but, yeah, always
more fun to point & laugh.
evile: Oh, speaking of creepy internet stalking--Uncle Satan found
me. eeps!
evile: http://profiles.yahoo.com/unclesatan666
evile: He MC'ed the Gothfest I attended with J-law, and I wrote about
it online. Scary...
SkyeDS: lol
evile: I called him a 'fruitcake'...oops.
SkyeDS: could have been worse
SkyeDS: who knows what Mom made out of my post about kaleon
SkyeDS: a) she doesn't know kaleon = kaleon and b) she didn't remember
who kaleon was when we last talked
evile: "nunya" is always a good answer :P
SkyeDS: I didn't see any reason to remind her given the state of
things
evile: *nod*
evile: terrifying--a new supervisor came over to ask me a question
about how to do her job. Maybe she was trying to trick me.
SkyeDS: maybe, but hopefully not.
SkyeDS: it isn't too far a stretch to think she's just asking
somebody who looks like they know, rather than make stupid
assumptions and muddle through on her own.
evile: either way it would suck. either she's a dumbfuck, OR she was
trying to get me to say something wrong & get me in trouble.
SkyeDS: is what i'd do in her position anyway
evile: point is, she makes about 2x what I do and ought to know how
to do it wihtout asking me.
SkyeDS: ah. well I didn't know what teh nature of the question was.
SkyeDS: but in general I'd rather ask someone I know has the right
answers than make a fool out of myself
evile: *shrug* I didn't know the answer, it wasn't regarding anything
I do on a regular basis.
SkyeDS: no logical reason to ask you then, unless she didn't know you
don't know.
evile: She was responding to a note on a file that was written by my
supervisor who "works from home" in the afternoons. Why not ask my
supervisor? I'm asuming that if she is "working" she is reachable by
phone or email.
evile: I think she was trying to trick me.
SkyeDS: one would think
SkyeDS: Hugh ever plays that game on me, I'm gone.
evile: She replaced the Littlest Nazi, so even though I've seen no
hints that she is as bad or worse than her, I'm still not trusting
her.
evile: *sigh* oh well, time to toss paper & run.
SkyeDS: HUGS wind to your wings
evile: *hugs* see ya tomorrow :)
