- Jul. 18, 2002I yelled at Tom last nite. I had just gotten to sleep and he asked if
he could blow out the candle on my nightstand, I said OK, and then he
leaned over and knocked a bunch of stuff over, then turned on the
light. I don't remeber what I said, probably something like "go away
and let me sleep!"...he was on the couch when I got up this morning.
Very bummer! I feel bad for hollering at him.
SIL supposedly had a temp assignment today, but was up till 4 am
playing spades online. I wonder if she couldn't sleep or deliberately
sabotaged her chance of at least bringing in a little bit of $ for
the household. Bummer.
Lynn had to cancel our Tina appt--an unexpected meeting this
afternoon. More bummer.
Oh well. I"m going home and going to bed right after work today! And
maybe going to the library at lunchtime if traffic isn't too bad.

Taurus
Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
A group with which you're affiliated might meet to discuss dreams
today, dear Taurus. Have you, or has someone else in the group, had a
bad dream about a romantic relationship? Discuss it with your
friends. They'll probably all agree that the dream is not prophetic,
but relates to conscious or unconscious fears coming from deep
within, maybe rooted in the past. Even if it isn't your dream, make
some notes. You'll find the information useful in the future.
Gemini
Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
Career stresses or family problems may cause either you or your
significant other to be a little snappish today, dear Gemini. Nerves
are taut and tempers short. Try to gain control of yourself. Step
outside the situation and view it as the temporary condition that it
is. Don't let yourself be sucked into a quarrel with your beloved.
You don't want to say anything you might regret and can't take back.

My dream last night was something about being at a wine
tasting/gourmet buffet with my mom and Jen. We didn't have tickets
but we went in anyway and just sat right down & started tasting.
Something wierd about my tasting notes, like I'd written them on an
AOL disc or something. Mom getting friendly & chatty with the
sommelier and for some reason that was embarassing me (maybe she was
telling him something personal that concerned me? I don't remember).
Maybe the wine tasting was at a ski lodge or something?- Jul. 18, 2002Checked out:
confessions of a sociopathic social climber - adele lang
Star Trek: Vulcan's Forge - Josepha Sherman & Susan Schwartz
Star Trek: vulcan's heart - same as above
The Green Saliva blues (an MIB novel) - Dean Wesley Smith
The Furies - Suzy McKee Charnas
Rainbow Six - Tom Clancy
They said there was some kind of 'uncataloged' book I had overdue
that I'd checked out from Riverside :( I told her the computer was
lying to her, cuz I only go to the main branch & I've been careful
about only checking out 6 books at a time since the last time I got
in trouble for having overdue/missing books (I didn't, but what the
hell)...I have no problem with giving the library some extra bux
every now and again, but I have a BIG problem with being called a
thief and a liar.- Jul. 18, 2002central tx rennies group; I post "Let's go skating on July 30" right
in the title header for my message, then post the relevant info,
website, etc.
Some dumb bint posts something about how she works near there, bla
bla, so then I'm all like "So we should come in and overtip you and
then go skating, right?" and she replies with "Oh, the 30th! I thought
you meant the 20th"
Um...why would I mean the 20th,when I typed 30th right in the subject
header? But whatever. These are not the brightest stars in the
galaxy, apparently.
