evile: hey :) How was your weekend?
    SkyeDS: wet but productive, yours?
    evile: productive and antisocial.
SkyeDS: sineater was on the phone for over an hour with all three of them
    last night
evile: [brother A], [rubber pig],and Trey? A & [rubber pig] made me talk to the baby, but
I didn't have to talk to trey
SkyeDS: and would have made him go longer, but I pointed out that
movies needed to go back to Taylor, and whomever did that got to
    choose what was for dinner
SkyeDS: (taylor = 20 min drive 26 miles)
SkyeDS: and he chose to take the movies back
    SkyeDS: (I offered)
    evile: *nod*
evile: They talk alot, but don't really say anything,. and the topic
jumps around so much you aren't really able to ask any questions or
get any answers. I'ts very frustrating.
evile: After 15 minutes on the phone with them I had to do a full-on
grounding/centering hematite cleansing thingy. And then drive around
for awhile to finish de-stressing fromit.
SkyeDS: sineater flipped the phone off once early into conversation and I
quit paying attention after that. Besides, one half of a
    conversation is not of interest.
    evile: :nod
evile: You could always do like [rubber pig], and get on the other phone.
    SkyeDS: no thank you
SkyeDS: I had mail and magazines to read
    evile: *nod
evile: apparently they called me Saturday said that they were NOT
coming for thanksgiving, then called [Aunt L] right after that and said
they WERE coming for thanksgiving. wtf.
evile: I don't know if they are wanting people to beg them to come,
    or what.
SkyeDS: I thought we were doing a daytrip to Houston for TG because
we're going to spend the rest of the weekend at Lake Somerville if
    the trails aren't underwater
evile: apparently the sticking point is the Girls want turkey.
SkyeDS: but it makes no nevermind to me whether we daytrip Houston or
    daytrip Austin
    SkyeDS: Austin is closer/easier <shrug>
SkyeDS: well, I would say take them to Denny's on the way, but D's
    isn't open TG/XMas anymore
evile: *shrug* I would say make your own plans and do what you want
to do, because waiting on [brother A] & [rubber pig] to come up with a plan for you
to base your plans on...bad move, giant waste of time, clusterfuck.
SkyeDS: I have two family sized frozen Turkey dinners they can have
evile: I tried to explain that since [Aunt L] has been a vegetarian for
well over 10 years now, meat disgusts her and she absolutely cannot
stand to touch raw meat at all. But apparently that was just too
unreasonable--'you have to have turkey ofr thanksgiivng'.
SkyeDS: ok, so look, if I don't want to eat what's there (can't eat
    it) I bring my own.
SkyeDS: and if the sight/smell of it in the house is too much for
[Aunt L], then you eat it somewhere else, and then go to [Aunt L]'s.
evile: apparently [rubber pig] felt that would be offenseive (more offensive
than demanding a longterm vegetarian cook meat for you?)
SkyeDS: we eat on the fly all the damn time
evile: Elaine has turkey at her house in the evening. The way it
ususally works is lunch at [Uncle B] & [Aunt L]s, then dinner at Elaine's.
    SkyeDS: they going to Elaine's?
evile: I don't care, and I'd have a better time without her and her
unholy spawn but I just want them to make up their damn minds and
quit telling me one thing, [Aunt L] osmething else, and whoever else
    other stuff altogether.
SkyeDS: and if they aren't going to Elaine's, can't they eat turkey
at your place and then go to [Aunt L]e's? hells bells, they can come to
MY place and eat turkey and go to [Aunt L]e's with us if sineater chooses
    Austin (the choice is his)
evile: I am not having turkey at my house.
SkyeDS: oh well, I'm spending TG doing what I want to do.
    evile: exactly. good plan.
SkyeDS: sineater is going to choose the venue for Thursday
SkyeDS: I've chosen the venue for the other three days
SkyeDS: and I"m going to spend Thursday doing whatever I want to do,
wherever sineater chooses that I do it
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: <grin> and if things get hairy, wherever we are, I'm going to
get on my low horse and ride away (she is too short to be a high
    horse :P)
evile: [rubber pig] said something about wanting to 'compare bellies' with
Urs. Even t hough I know Dave & Urs haven't told anyone, I pretty
much felt I HAD to say something to prevent her bringing it up and
    hurting Dave & Urs. feelings.
    SkyeDS: ...Urs miscarried...?
evile: So I said, with no details or drama "Ursula lost the baby,
they aren't talking about it, please don't bring it up"
    SkyeDS: that's what I thought
evile: So you know that's the first thing that's going to come out of
her fuckin' mouth, justas an opener for her to tell her gross
    out 'miscarriage scare' story.
SkyeDS: sineater still wants to believe she isn't pregnant
evile: OH, and she said something like "Isn't that the same thing as
what happened with sineater and skye_ds?" and I said "THAT isn't any of
your business or a topic for conversation, EITHER"
    SkyeDS: I didn't miscarry, I terminated
SkyeDS: I tried to miscarry 8 times in as many weeks, which is one
(not the only) reason why I terminated.
evile: REgardless, it's not a topic for polite conversation, it isn't
any of her business, and I know it may still be hurtful for you and
sineater to talk about. So...I treid to nip that shit in the bud.
evile: I 100% believe in freedom of choice, I 100% believe in
choosing life of the adult over life of the fetus...but I still don't
believe that sort of thing is polite dinner conversation
evile: She is just so incredibly inappropriate.
SkyeDS: hard to be more inappropriate than me, but she seems to be.
SkyeDS: even I wouldn't bring up miscarriages at a holiday
SkyeDS: if I were pregnant and thankful not to have had one, I would
go to worship service and be thankful t here.
evile: bygones, honey. I know sometimes your mouth gets away with
    you, but you TRY.
SkyeDS: she can bring my situation up if she wants to, I'll try to
    change the subject
SkyeDS: it won't bother me personally. as long as she isn't using it
to hurt sineater (like Joanie does)
evile: [rubber pig] seems to revel in discovering the MOST uncomfortable,
uncalled-for topic of conversation and just pounding away at it for
as long as she can. And nobody can get a word in edgewise.
SkyeDS: I believe it's well established what you can expect from me
    if you hurt sineater.
evile: I hope 1) they don't come, and 2) if they do come, [Aunt L] has
the card table set up. We can play spades & ignore the preggo bitch
    queen.
SkyeDS: I haven't played spades with real people in I can't remember
how long, that would be nice
    evile: *nod* exactly.
SkyeDS: I know sineater wants to see Nana, Grammy and Joanie.
SkyeDS: one of our events will take us south of Houston in a week or
two, he might see them then
evile: I would say Nana is definitely a priority, given her illness &
    all.
SkyeDS: and whether or not he sees them then might have influence on
whether he chooses Houston or Austin for TG
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: although Austin is easier from a travel perspective I would
be surprised if he didn't choose to see Nana at TG
evile: well, whatever y'all do, don't do it because of [brother A] & [rubber pig].
Even when they make plans to be somewhere, they are usually
incredibly late. So don't base your time-table on them.
evile: I think sineater has some bad feelings about [brother A],
thinks/wishes/hopes there was/is something he could do..but there
isn't. So sineater needs to go where he wants and not be motivated by
    bad feelings about [brother A].
SkyeDS: he did not choose to tell them the truth about Paulie, btw.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and I was only halfway being flippant when I suggested that
    lying was an option.
evile: I have told the truth, which is that Paulie was given to
people who could take care of him & he fit in with them & their other
    dogs very well.
evile: And that is as far as I go.
SkyeDS: sineater told the truth technically kinda sorta
SkyeDS: which is, the last time he saw him, Paulie was happy
    evile: :nod
SkyeDS: she went on for some time about how *she* and the girls
    missed Paulie
    evile: Oh, wah.
evile: It's all about [rubber pig], isn't it?
SkyeDS: which I take it might have been what provoked the finger
    evile: which finger?
SkyeDS: the third finger Italian salute
    evile: in the hospital room?
SkyeDS: on the phone last night
evile: someone gave someone the finger over the phone and you saw it?
    evile: *confused*
SkyeDS: I was sitting next to him and he made a big production out of
    it
    evile: Oh, Ok.
evile: He gave her the finger while talking to her on the phone.
    gotcha.
SkyeDS: after which I quit paying attention to the call, other than
to note that he spent it laughing mostly
SkyeDS: when he talks to his dad, he goes into my office (I don't
know why not his) and holes himself up.
SkyeDS: last night he spent most of his time in the living room with
    us, or up wandering around.
evile: I just dont' get her at all.... she spent the entirety of the
relationship trying to get rid of Paulie, and now, woe is us, we miss
    him. stupid bitch.
evile: She is an amazing source of negative energy. I almost threw up
after talking with her for a mere 15 minutes. And I'mnot terribly
    sensitive to such things.
SkyeDS: that the girls miss him I believe wholeheartedly
SkyeDS: I would be amazed if [brother A] didn't
evile: So sineater was probably doing his best to stay calm & grounded
while dealing with her black hole of filth
SkyeDS: no doubt she "coattails" the girls so as to be in the middle
    of whatever.
evile: *nod* yup, everything is "the girls want this" "the girls
don't want that" "the girls insist on" bla bla bla.
evile: "the girls would be SO disappointed if you didn't do such and
    such for me"
SkyeDS: well, the holiday half of the year is upon us, from TG to NY,
Halloween to Valentine's Day, or whatever.
    evile: sick.
    evile: yup
SkyeDS: sineater says that [K/mom] doesn't answer her cell phone anymore
SkyeDS: why does [rubber pig] call [K/mom]?
SkyeDS: I thought she wasn't speaking to any of us?
SkyeDS: so now why does she want inclusion in holidays?
SkyeDS: because you know, whatever happens at TG will only happen in
more amplification for Xmas or Rosh Hoshanna or whatever she
    celebrates
evile: No clue. I sent [brother A] a $25 gift cert. in his bday card, so I
guess I bought my way back in.
SkyeDS: um, that was supposed to be Hanukkah (stupid witch)
evile: I am not going to be here at Xmas, I am not going to do
anything with family on NYE, I am going to do my best not to spend
any time with her at all. she makes me physically ill.
SkyeDS: oh that's right, you don't. duh. Vegas :)
SkyeDS: well, Xmas will be Texarkana, no doubt, like it is every
year, because TG will be Houston (or Austin)
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and since (thankfully perhaps) some old biddy on gramma's
street complained about the horses, I can't be asked to stay at
    Gramma's.
evile: I think [Aunt L] said [sister H] will be here for THanksgiving, but
apparently G[H's father] is being snitty and nasty about her spending any time
    with us.
SkyeDS: <bangs head on wall> why can't people just play nice in the
sandbox together? or choose different sandboxes and keep their shit
    to themselves/
evile: G[Holly's dad] will talk till the cows come home about how much he
looooooooves [sister H], she is the joy of his life, bla bla bla, but when
it comes to aCTIONS, the man is a complete fucking dud.
SkyeDS: [sister H] is lucky to be who she is despite of him
evile: she is a very decent human being.
SkyeDS: maybe she is who she is because of him in a twisted way
SkyeDS: "my father is a shit so I choose not to be"
SkyeDS: (insert drunk, druggie, abuser, whatever)
    evile: could be
SkyeDS: I love fall. I hate holidays.
    evile: *nod*
evile: I just want [sister H] to have a nice visit--that is going to be my
    priority.
evile: [sister H] told me she actually went to counseling because of
whatever [rubber pig] said to her in the ICU
    SkyeDS: ?????
evile: I don't know what was said, all I know is that [rubber pig] put [sister H]
    on the 'not allowed' list.
    SkyeDS: [sister H] + [rubber pig] + G's shit = bad for TG :(
evile: I know [sister H] will be gracious, because she always is.
SkyeDS: not concerned about her graciousness but the effect on her
    internally
SkyeDS: unless teh counselor gave her good coping mechanisms which
    she has mastered already
    evile: *nod*
evile: worse comes to worst, we'll hightail ourselves up to the
crossings and spend the day getting massages & hanging out in the hot
    tub.
    SkyeDS: they're open TG?
evile: I guess I should find that out, first, before deciding that's
    our escape plan. :P
SkyeDS: I'm sure an escape plan can be found regardless
    evile: *nod*
evile: weather permitting, there's always my waterfall at Bull Creek
    park.
SkyeDS: what I intend to do if things get hairy, go to a park and
play (taking my children with me of course)
    evile: *nod*
evile: wierd. I just noticed that divine_ambrosia added me to her LJ
    friends.
SkyeDS: she's one of Julie's friends
evile: *nod* I think she is one of the equestrian bitches you've
complained about...so I don't care to befriend her.
    SkyeDS: is she?
SkyeDS: I don't recognize her picture
evile: ashia? or something like that?
    SkyeDS: is that Ashia?
SkyeDS: I guess I didn't recognize her under the hat, if it is.
    evile: that's what it says.
SkyeDS: Ashia isn't so bad, if you don't have to encounter her in the
presence of Diane, Bridget or Aimee de Long Coeur.
    SkyeDS: maybe she's growing up.
evile: I've traded emails with Julie & I feel like I know her well
enough, but I don't know ashia, and I don't care to, if half what
    you've told me is true.
SkyeDS: shrug. just giving credit where it is due, last time we saw
her, she was ok, and there was no beating on Dance.
evile: I don't want to be friends with someone who will be nice to me
in one case, and then act shitty to me to impress her friends the
    next time.
SkyeDS: well, I can't say that won't happen, it very likely might.
evile: I have (and despise) that tendency myself, but I am trying
very hard NOT to be that kind of person, so I don't want to hang out
    with those kind of people
SkyeDS: I've added a lot of people to my friend list that haven't
    added me back
SkyeDS: I don't know if they even know I added them
SkyeDS: I'm not worried about it
SkyeDS: just don't add her, and don't worry about it unless she asks
you about it (at which point you say, gee, I'm sorry, I hadn't
    checked lately)
    evile: *nod*
evile: I don't check it that often, so that's a pretty plausible
    thing to say, anyway.
evile: Did y'all decide what all you were doing Halloween weekend,
    besides the SCA stuff?
SkyeDS: depending on what time we leave we may go to Drandmir
SkyeDS: and then trick or treating I'm not sure where after that
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: options are Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown and somewhere in
    Round Rock maybe
evile: *nod* Kelly hasn't stated a preference? (I'm asuming you are
taking her kids trick or treating ?)
SkyeDS: Rockdale apparently tot's on Saturday when Hallows is on
    Sunday
SkyeDS: haven't heard back from her, need to call her again
    SkyeDS: I need a secretary.
    evile: wierd about Rockdale.
evile: find yourself boy #3 and make that be his job :P
SkyeDS: the top five salaried executive assistants in the country
right now are all men. that baffles me.
    evile: *shrug*
SkyeDS: food. f ood is good.
    evile: *nod*
evile: damns. too late to infect [rubber pig] with toxoplasmosis. Should
have exposed her to it first trimester...
SkyeDS: not too late to expose her to lots of things
SkyeDS: strawberry leaves, pennyroyal, black & blue cohosh, feverfew
evile: yeah, but toxoplasmosis I got in plenty & easier to get it to
    her than any funky herbs.
SkyeDS: ok, stupid witch time again, but what is it?
SkyeDS: translates literally into poison blood...?
evile: it's a bacteria that exists in cat feces.
evile: can cause birth defects & /or spontaneous abortion in first
    trimester.
evile: hm. homemade pesto might work to get some abortifacient herbs
into her system. Unfo it requires refrigeration. hm...
SkyeDS: I don't know what quantities of the other things you'd need
SkyeDS: but be careful with pennyroyal
SkyeDS: a little dab will do ya. doesn't take much of a dab to kill
    ya.
evile: *nod* effective dose and fatal dose are very close in a lot of
    herbs.
SkyeDS: yep, specially digitalis (heart), mistletoe (cancer),
    valerian (sleep)
    evile: *nod*
evile: Eve's Herbs was an excellent book.
SkyeDS: Z Budapest wrote in one of hers that sitting in a patch of
pennyroyal long enough to do ritual brought on a period right then
    and there.
    evile: ick!!
SkyeDS: despite being asked when I'm due (sigh)
SkyeDS: I'm sure that obesity fat, and pregnancy fat, don't look the
    same
    evile: shouldn't, anyway.
SkyeDS: so she can't have just put on weight to fake it (?)
evile: supposedly there have been 2 ultrasounds, which [brother A] has seen.
SkyeDS: I will tell sineater. He still wants to believe she isn't.
evile: it is a boy and they are naming it Judah Elija Sampson (or
    Samuel?) Stephan.
evile: Way to totally diss every male on the paternal side, no? no
Gregory, no Kenneth, no David. and David is even biblical/Jewish...
SkyeDS: but he's going to have the Stephan surname
    evile: so says.
SkyeDS: which is going to make sineater, and I might presume [g/stepdad/sineater's dad],
    homicidal
evile: I'm really surprised they didn't tell sineater any of that when
they babbled his ear off last night?
SkyeDS: I think not. Or there would have been more fingers at the
    phone.
    SkyeDS: and less laughter.
SkyeDS: he is VERY unhappy about the last name bidness
evile: [Aunt L] and I are both pushing for a blood test.
evile: The last names on all 3 of the girls' birth cert.s are Trey's,
even though the last 2 are admittedly not his genetically.
SkyeDS: I wonder if we aren't going to be all cosy for the holidays
during gift giving time and then find some reason for a schism
    shortly thereafter
    evile: gift grab? ya think?
evile: then again, they did call me right after they got the $25 gift
cert, so may be it IS all about getting $ and stuff.
SkyeDS: I have always admired your ability to give gifts.
    evile: thanks.
SkyeDS: unless I am giving the gift of music, I have no ability to
gift give at all (you know what I mean)
evile: everyone has their own talents in life.
SkyeDS: I am capable of admiring your ability to give gifts, despite
the apparent paradox of gift giving meaning little to me
evile: that's probably why you aren't good at it, it doesn't mean
    anything to you...simple.
SkyeDS: let me try that again
SkyeDS: I don't place a high value on people giving them to me
SkyeDS: but some people can certainly be....bought.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I like to give people stuff, I just don't have the flair for
    giving cool stuff.
SkyeDS: probably because I have no taste. in anything but music
    anyway.
SkyeDS: and for people like me, thank god/dess, there are gift
certificates, because at least I know enough about most people to
know WHERE to shop for them anyway.
    SkyeDS: but that is digression
SkyeDS: this would not be the first time you've encountered
    friends/family who could be bought.
SkyeDS: maybe it's a duh thing that people who can be bought would be
attracted to someone with a flair for giving gifts.
    evile: maybe.
SkyeDS: [Aunt L] is a gift giver of prodigious ability too no?
evile: I've found that I am not as good at it anymore...I don't find
things when I specifically go looking for them, I just happen across
stuff and think "So and so would love this"
evile: Yup, [Aunt L] is great. She can actually wrap hers nicely, too. :P
SkyeDS: I am persuaded that the ability to wrap oddly shaped items
perfectly is a gene that comes with motherhood, along with eyes in
    the back of the head.
SkyeDS: but here we are, on the eve of the gift giving season, and
all th e sudden, we want to be close and cuddly to [Aunt L] and evilE.
SkyeDS: I wish I hadn't just eaten, because that physically revolts
me. I can't stand to see Stuart do that to my parents and my gramma.
    evile: *hugs*
evile: It is a disgusting and hypocritical thing. [rubber pig] makes me
    sick, too.
    SkyeDS: :)
SkyeDS: at least you know that I don't cultivate you for "what I can
    get" out of it.
    evile: I should hope not.
SkyeDS: and the catch 22 is, if you don't make all nice and snuggly
when they make nice and snuggly overtures
SkyeDS: as obvious as they are
SkyeDS: then you get to be the bad guy
evile: The Bank of E, E's toy shop, and E's bar and grille have been
closed now for quite some time.
evile: Not to mention E's boutique, E's travel agency, and E's
    chauffer service.
SkyeDS: sonar0m is getting quite proficient with the bus system, which
saves me money and time, and I'm proud of that
SkyeDS: I know if G is shitty, [sister H] is certainly proficient
enough to get herself up here if someone doesn't go down there to get
    her.
evile: I am busy enough & have enough of a life that I will be able
to put off any sort of 'last minute get together' invites very
    convincingly.
evile: It won't be a problem to get [sister H] wherever she wants to go.
It just sucks listening to Gary whine.
SkyeDS: your friends page is doing weird shit
evile: Every visit, it's the same. [sister H] decides where and when she's
going to be, divides her time equitably among all of her friends &
family in the area, and then as soon as she is actually HERE, GAry
starts whining and fussing and fucking things up, trying to get more
of [sister H]'s time than she alloted for him, trying to make her spend
time she had planned with others with him instead. It's completely
    disgusting.
SkyeDS: I completely agree. He's not the only one I know like that.
evile: I think LJ is having some server issues.
SkyeDS: it's hard to divide time evenly and fairly without hurting
    feelings.
    evile: *nod*
evile: His favorite trick is to get her back late, or to show up
early, pretending to have misunderstood 'the plan'
SkyeDS: he must be related to the baby's parents, they love that.
evile: All it does is make [sister H] unhappy and uncomfortable...the
person he cries to the heavens that he "loooooooooooveeeees" more
than anything or anyone else in the whole wide world
SkyeDS: we've completely circumvented them now, they provide no
transportation whatsoever except to and from school from Tue evening
    to Thursday morning.
evile: Well, in MY world, you don't fuck with the people you love
    like that.
SkyeDS: and they hate it ;)
    evile: good for you.
SkyeDS: they think I'll get tired of being Skye's Chauffeur service
SkyeDS: except, now that he knows the bus system, he does half his
    travelling, literally by bus.
SkyeDS: I don't think that Gary, or the baby's parents, or Chris and
James Loy's parents, give consideration, truly, to what they're doing
to their relationships with their beloved children.
    evile: *nod*
evile: Or they just lose sight of what their stated goal is vs. what
    their ACTUAL goal is.
    SkyeDS: priorities.
evile: Do you want to spend time with your kid? Or do you want your
kid to do what you want when you want? Is it quality time & love, or
is it control that you want?
SkyeDS: choose your prize, choose it carefully, then keep your eyes
    on it.
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: don't know what you've got, till it's gone, they'll learn.
evile: hope so. It's a rotten position to put people in.
SkyeDS: I recognize the strings I still have attached. I haven't
been good at breaking them. May [sister H] do better than I have.
evile: She had a better support system growing up than you did, IMHO.
    So that's been helpful.
    SkyeDS: :)
evile: And our entire family didn't revolve around Prince [brother A], even
though a lot of it did. She had parts of her family who saw &
    appreciated her.
evile: It's tough. I don't think anybody reaches adulthood without
some childhood scars on their psyche.
SkyeDS: growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional, you may
have a happy childhood at any time (I choose to have mine now :P)
    evile: there ya go.
evile: I have a giant sinus headache. I shoulda just called in sick
instead of coming in late today
SkyeDS: mine usually require sudafed and excedrin together, and
    dayquil if that doesn't work.
    evile: dayquil rocks.
SkyeDS: I have been tempted to stick a needle with a syringe right
    between my eyes before.
evile: heh. I'm needle phobic, but I think I've been there, too.
evile: oo, Tai Chi workshop at the crossings Nov. 9
    SkyeDS: I miss yoga
    evile: *nod*
evile: LJ looks like it should be OK now
    http://www.livejournal.com/users/status/
SkyeDS: I switched to netscape and it worked
    evile: aha. OK.
SkyeDS: I want to see Latcho Drom and the Time of the Gypsies. and
to find more good documentaries on the subject.
evile: I still haven't finished watching Latcho Drom
SkyeDS: I"m probably going ot have to rent both in Austin, I can't
imagine they'd have them in Rockdale or Taylor or Round Rock
    evile: *nod*
evile: I hear a DVD is in the works for Time of the Gypsies.
SkyeDS: I like reading Kaa's posts, Kaa is funny
evile: Kaa rawks. he is one of my old TIM buddies.
evile: onyxlynxx tried to get me interested in silverchat, which is
somewhat MUSH like, but it's not TIM, and I don't spend lots of time
online chatting anymore, so it's not worth getting to know the small
    differences in chat commands, etc.
SkyeDS: lol big surprise, I am Epona.
    evile: heh.
    SkyeDS: I am a quiz addict <sigh>
    evile: they're fun.
evile: well, time for me to scatter papers & run.
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: *hugs* have a good evening :)
