2575Appleang's dinner at Chuy's

I had such a fun time last night. My friend appleang, who is a bat
biologist in grad school in Albuquerque, came to town for a long
weekend. This weekend is the CMA Samhain campout, so she came back
for that. So anyway, she wanted Chuy's before she headed out to the
weeds with the pagans, so she invited everyone she knew to meet her
for dinner. appleang brought her new boyfriend Chris, and he is a hoot!

Coincidentally, Festive is in town Wednesday-Saturday morning for a
conference. So, he came by for awhile, too. And, of course, he fit
in right away. He is so good at being sociable with any bunch of
people you can throw him into. You can take him anywhere and
he will just be his charming self with his funny stories, and just
get along with everyone. I really admire that quality in a person. He
and his boyfriend David are having an anniversary this Saturday. I
think it's 5 years! That's just so cool :)

Man, we had a BLAST. What a fun group of people appleang knows. :) She
reminds me of my mom--she follows her own path in life, wherever it
takes her & has such a diverse bunch of friends. She works hard & is
good at organizing people & events, but is also just a hell of a lot
of fun. We all just laughed and talked and had such a fun time. I
wish that was my life all the time...
