SkyeDS: note to self: acquire bike shorts and long sleeveless t's for
    walking in
evile: Oshmans has good prices on bike shorts :)
SkyeDS: /me just walked nearly 45 minutes straight and is now nice
and toasty in her long black sleeves and pants
SkyeDS: does Oshman's carry 22 extra fat?
    evile: I'm sure they do.
SkyeDS: that's an idea, I just got paid today, I have to stop by the
bank on the way home anyway, I could stop by Oshman's too if they
    take checks.
evile: Might also try ebay. There are a lot of 'success stories'
there, in that women who've lost weight are selling barely-used
    larger clothes.
evile: I've written checks at Oshmans. I got all my skating & hiking
    socks there.
SkyeDS: got a $100+ pair of boots slightly used on ebay, just enough
to break the leather in comfortably (no blisters), for $25, and I've
worn them more than two years now.
SkyeDS: I think they're worth repairing, as soon as I find time and
    money.
SkyeDS: walked from 13/Nueces to 4/Guadalupe and back
    evile: Awesome.
SkyeDS: 2 over and 9 down.
evile: It always feels really good to exercise, I don't know why I've
got such a mental block against it.
SkyeDS: I know what my problem is, I'm lazy, and I do better with a
    partner to fuss at me.
evile: I don't like to be fussed at, or fuss at anyone. For me it's
the fact that I know someone is depending on me to do something/be
somewhere and I dont' want to let them down.
SkyeDS: let me shorten that to with a partner, mostly I think because
I don't like to be by myself.
SkyeDS: but I was by myself today, and it was fine.
SkyeDS: and I walked the property by myself Sunday before I got sineater
and sonar0m out of the house to help, and that was fine too.
evile: yeah. Once you start a habit it's easier to keep going, even
    if you don't have company.
evile: I saw that you sent me photos. I haven't looked yet, because
I'm paranoid about accidentally saving something to the work computer
hard drive. that would be bad.
SkyeDS: they're pictures of the trees and the pond, no rush
SkyeDS: they might also be up on the website by n ow
    SkyeDS: bellaperegrina.netfirms.com
    evile: oh, cool :)
evile: I'm almost done with the mandatory 5 hours OT boss wanted for
the week, so I can go home and play hostess Barbie for the rest of
    the week.
SkyeDS: when you put it like that it doesn't sound like so much fun
evile: What? mandatory OT or being Hostess?
    SkyeDS: hostess barbie
evile: enh. I have no idea what they're going to want to do, other
    than the general 'SXSW'...so I can't really make any plans. I don't
even know when they're arriving or when they're leaving. So...very
amorphous. I don't do amorphous too well.
SkyeDS: take them horseback riding :)
evile: Mark has an illness which makes him not good with being
outside, getting hot, direct sunlight, etc.
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: he's also got some spinal thing that makes one leg longer than
    the other. Poor guy.
SkyeDS: walking around sxsw isn't going to be too much fun either
evile: They rented a car. they think they're going to do a lot of
driving. I hope they also have some idea of where to park & get
    shuttles.
    SkyeDS: /me ds
    SkyeDS: err nods
evile: Jeanne has been before. She ought to have a pretty good idea
of what to expect as far as parking/driving/walking.
evile: Personally, you couldn't get me to go downtown during this
week for all the butter in France.
SkyeDS: I was t hinking about my own carriage company as I walked
    past the Bremond Block today
SkyeDS: it would be another way for the horses to pay for themselves,
particularly a Friesian or a Gypsy.
    evile: true.
SkyeDS: I haven't driven in so long, I'd need to relearn, and, I've
never trained a horse to drive.
evile: Definitely a lot of work involved, for you & the horses both.
SkyeDS: I trailer trained Jesse with books, I'm sure there's a
plethora of books and videos on driving.
    evile: Yeah.
evile: Do you still keep in touch with the people who you used to
drive for? They'd probably be a good resource for finding more info
on what it would take to start up your own carriage business.
SkyeDS: I haven't kept in touch, but I didn't burn bridges
    evile: always a good thing.
SkyeDS: but I can't see any way to ask questions without betraying
    what I'm doing
SkyeDS: and I don't think Sheree or Elaine would be thrilled
evile: I don't think I'd care to have an animal on 6th st, since *I*
dont' even like to be there.
SkyeDS: they don't let carriages actually onto 6th
    SkyeDS: they go across
evile: Were I starting a carriage business, I'd see if I could do it
at Zilker in the day time on the weekends.
SkyeDS: I was thinking Capital, Bremond Block
    SkyeDS: Zilker is good
evile: Or do it with minis. doting parents would pay fortunes to take
pictures of their kids in a mini carriage with a mini horse
SkyeDS: actually I'd entertain lots of suggestions from clients,
    within reason
evile: (like the mini train at Zilker, only horses, I guess)
SkyeDS: that would be a good business for you :)
SkyeDS: and you could keep the minis in the house.
evile: No, I hate children, remember?
SkyeDS: or I can board them for you.
evile: And to a horse there probably isn't much difference between
drunks trying to 'set them free' and small screaming children doing
    the same.
evile: Except maybe the drunks' hands aren't as sticky and filthy...
evile: I have good ideas, but they all involve dealing with people. I
    hate people. :(
SkyeDS: unfortunately money grows on people and not trees
    evile: yup.
evile: The only people I'd want in my house or touchng my animals
would be my friends, and I wouldn't want to charge them for it,
because they're my friends. Such a quandary.
evile: I could never do any of those 'southern living at home'
or 'pampered chef' or whatever parties. I love having people over &
stuff, but not to make money off 'em.....just seems tacky-ish to me.
SkyeDS: Hugh is eating a "simply sugarfree" bar from Central Market
    SkyeDS: chocolate and toffee
SkyeDS: he gave me a bite and it's wondrous
    evile: yum.
SkyeDS: well I thought the pics were up on t he page (sineater said they
    were) b ut they aren't
SkyeDS: but you can DL them at home
    evile: I will :)
    evile: I can't wait :)
SkyeDS: Karen is going to give me a gift certificate to Tanglewood
    Nursery (between home and Lexington)
evile: There is a lot of LC stuff around nowdays. Central market
mostly, but even the regular HEB. I may give it another go
SkyeDS: it's supposed to be a surprise.
    evile: awesome :)
SkyeDS: ordered from www.netrition.com once, haven't in a long while,
they've got lots more stuff now
evile: shipping & handling is always an unpleasant surprise...
SkyeDS: I think that's why the last time I ordered like $200 so it
    was free
    SkyeDS: and discounted
    evile: cool
SkyeDS: I bought shakes and bake mix
SkyeDS: like a six month supply or something like that
    evile: wow...
SkyeDS: cheap place to get bars and every thing you could imagine and
    some you can't low carb
SkyeDS: but...have to order chocolate stuffs before May because I
think they won't deliver them from May to Sept because of melting
    during shipping
    evile: that makes sense.
    SkyeDS: almond flour
evile: When I go serious LC, I never really miss sweets but I do miss
    bread.
SkyeDS: the bake mix made good blueberry muffins
SkyeDS: but I prefer soy crepes to the pancakes
SkyeDS: and I never tried to make bread with it
SkyeDS: I don't think it would be very good
evile: I can't do soy until I'm done with Depo.
SkyeDS: but if you looked real hard in the specialtiy stores you
could probably find a lower carb whole grain bread
evile: Not a big fan of soy anything, there's a wierd taste to it.
evile: this is true. I like things like ciabatta & nice
    baguettes...very carby.
SkyeDS: give yourself a free day just once a week
SkyeDS: almost all the major plans allow for that in some form or
    another
    evile: yeah.
SkyeDS: do it on a day when you're the most active
    evile: heh.
SkyeDS: it's actually good for two reasons. One is psychological,
you can write down all your cravings and take care of them on a free
day, and it keeps you from plateaus.
SkyeDS: and then you minimize the damage when you do it on a day when
    you are the most active
    SkyeDS: (body builders do that)
    evile: true.
evile: Well, I'm going to go dink around with the copier, so I should
    sign off.
    SkyeDS: /me hugs
    SkyeDS: ciao bella :)
evile: &hugs* can't wait to get home & see your photos :)
