In other news, onyxlynxx posted with a new LJ user Icon

roninjedi and just a while later, roninjedi posted that he was overdrawn
at the bank, and that he wasn't begging for $, just annoyed
(http://www.livejournal.com/users/roninjedi/36555.html).

Scrith offered $ right away, anyway, but knowing roninjedi to be a prickly
character at best, I commented that I'd like to pay him to draw me an
icon like onyxlynxx's. He very sensibly said that he will accept work,
and so we have an understanding. I'm very excited. I can't wait to
PayPal him :)

MAN, that picture of onyxlynxx-as-a-unicorn was so HER.
Seriously...I don't know how you did it, but I'm
pretty sure it had something to do the expression in
the eyes. That's just so COOL.

Send me your price list ASAP, I'm more than happy to
pay you now and then have you complete the work as you
get time/inspiration/etc.

I am not really into the 'furry' thing, and I've never
really thought of what kind of anthropomorphic critter
I would be if I was one...so here is me brainstorming:

Hm. I like bats. But I'm not terribly nocturnal these
days.

I have 2 cats, both calico, one more mottled and the

Hi, evilE!

I'd love to do an icon for you. It doesn't have to be "furry" at
all, if that's not your thing. Remember that before I did the little
bunny with the lightsabre, my "Jedi" icon was a tiny characature of
myself. Photos of yourself are ideal for that. Thanks! (You're
extremely photogenic, BTW)

Because I do the images full 8.5 X 11 and then shrink down a portion
of it for an icon, I charge my full prices.

Pencil sketch - $10
Black n' White ink - $15
Full color - $25

Guess, I'd better post this on my Journal at some point soon.

The nice thing is if I do the picture completely on paper, I'll hand
you the full sized original to do with as you please. If I wind up
coloring it on the computer, I can e-mail the file to you (it'll
probably be 4 or 5 megs, though) so you can print and/or save it at
your leisure. The only reason I haven't sent onyxlynxx the full-sized
file of her unicorn, is she's on dialup, and sending something that
big would just be cruel.

I was initially thinking of just a cartoony headshot of you
(non-furry) with a simple color background like I did for onyxlynxx. If
inspiration for what you think most represents you should come,
please feel free to let me know.

A cartoony headshot will be perfect -- don't forget
the freckles! :P

I'd like full color, please, and whatever format you
like best (paper or 'puter). We have cable internet
(whatever that's called) so it's fast enough to handle
whatever you send my way.

My computer security settings at work seem to be
preventing me from using paypal this morning, but I'll
paypal you as soon as I get home.
