J-Law to me, re tonight & the weekend:

Sounds like a busy night, but I am glad you're going to have fun. I
have thought of taking belly dancing lessons.

Good luck this weekend! I sure hope sineater's understanding spills over
to skye_ds and she doesn't go all drill sergeant on you.

Okay, here we go: sineater was worrying last night about whether or not
they'd be allowed to set up their portable round pen for the horses.
I found a photo of last year's faire with sheep & a camel in what
looked like a similar portable-fence type enclosure, and sent it
along to both of them, with a note that it looked like a round pen
would be acceptable, but possibly not RIGHT NEXT to their vendor
booth.

Got an email back from skye_ds a few minutes later regarding "an
unpleasant experience" involving "two hours of unplanned driving"
and "rescuing" someone who will then be coming to Ingleside Faire
with them to "help".

Wooboy, here we go. Fuckwittage shall abound shortly, I can just feel
it in dese ol' bones.

I suspect the rescued person is one "Aeris" who is a very
helpless gay boy who keeps getting himself into bad lover/roommate
situations & keeps having his stuff stolen, thrown away, himself &
his stuff thrown into the street, etc. He is a very very queeny drama
queen. Not that he's not entertaining in small doses. And he *can*
sing. But...gah.

More than likely he will try and glom on to me because I'll be more
fun than the two people who are getting up at 3 a.m. Saturday to
drive to faire, and who will be wrangling horses, bird, furniture,
tent, chair, oddments of crap to try to sell, bla bla.

And the glommage will naturally be all my fault, shame on me.

And there will also probably be some wierdness because I'm
interesting to him and he's "HERS" even though he's gay.

feh.

edit: well, I *did* offer him crash space in my room, so that
obviously shows what a sexual predator I am.

Um, no. I am offering crash space to homosexual man and if she comes
back and says it's some other HFSer, if it's a girl, the offer still
stands, if it's Sonar0 or Kaleon or any hetero guy, forget it.

There will doubtless be fuckwittage, but I sure hope it's more like
the "happening around you" kind, rather than the "happening to you"
kind.

I will be very interested to hear how this weekend turns out.
Whatever happens, just be strong and stick to your plan. It's hard
when you have such an interesting history with UB - but try not to
worry/dread things that have yet to happen. After all, your worst
fears may never be realized.

[Where the hell do I get my optimism? Is it sickening? Because I feel
a little 'off'].
