I went to craft night last night. I brought the EZ up tent and
folding chairs for sineater & skye_ds to set up their booth at faire. sineater
was there for a minute, just long enough to put the stuff in his
truck & give me a longish speech re: politics, politicians,
unemployment, & why everything in the US sucks.

Apparently he is just along for the ride on this Ingleside stuff,
too. Has no idea what skye_ds plans as far as being 'entertaining' or
what she's going to do in the booth, and is having trouble figuring
out how they're going to wrangle 2 horses, bird, round pen, etc. (AND
VEND!!!) just the 2 of them, because they've usually got one of
skye_ds's pet boys in tow to be an extra set of hands. I made
sympathetic noises, but I am NOT going to be their slave for the
weekend. I have my own plans (or lack thereof) and I intend to have
FUN. Not wrangle animals, bird-sit, booth-sit, or what-have-you. I re-
iterated this to sineater & he seemed cool with it.

The high school kids left Craft night early and I was left in the
awkward situation of being there with Sharjinka urging me to stay, me
knowing she needed to study for an exam, but with me there, she was
talking to me.

Rather selfishly, I did go ahead and stay. I had a bunch of little
stuff I'd been waiting to get my 'round to--buttons that had come off
of stuff, pants that needed a hem fixed, new elastic in a peasant
blouse, etc. So, I got all my little stuff done, Jinx blabbed at
me re: ex boyfriend, HFS politics, and other sort of sad/boring
stuff ,and then I left around 10:15.

Tonight is bellydancing at Cafe Mundi, packing for Ingleside Faire,
and hopefully I can get a batch of Lynn cookies done.

I love 3 day weekends!
