I got there about 7:45 and Chance was there talking with people and
just having a great ol' time, and she was happy to see me. I love that :)

Jinx and Acadiana never showed up, but the 2 of us had a great time.
She had never skated before, so people were giving her helpful hints
and being encouraging and she was just having a ball, not afraid to
ask for help or look silly.

She is just a genuinely BEAUTIFUL person, inside and out. She's so
sweet and funny, and just laughs at herself and enjoys life. I really
like that. And the world seems to respond to her in kind; she treats
people like friends and they treat her the same. Half the people at
skate night were skating by with friendly comments, helpful hints,
encouragement, smiles, thumbs-up...wow, it was just so cool. What if
the world really was like that???!? It was just amazing, to have so
much fun and feel so accepted and nice.

We met Bill, a guy who skates pretty good. At one point he fell on the
rink and hit his head pretty hard. Chance was sweet to him and he
ended up skating with us and talking to us (mostly because he wanted
to get to know Chance better, but, hey, he was nice, and seemed
non-creepy)

I left the rink around 9:45, it was really a good evening. I had a lot
of fun.
