evile: howdy :)
SkyeDS: hola :)
evile: I have a feeling the fit is about to hit the shan at work.
Email from boss' boss re: production yesterday. But hopefully i'll
have a way to keep you posted when/if it does.
SkyeDS: sokay. hope you have a can of excrement repellant handy.
evile: heh. As long as it hits everyone in my unit and not just me,
I've got no problem.
evile: But if she singles me out for punitive action, there WILL be
problems. My ally in HR retired, but I'm sure I can still find an
outlet down there if it comes to that.
SkyeDS: productivity probs?
evile: Not for me personally, but the HO's are getting caught up so
we need to enter a lot of new cases to schedule.
evile: since the last time we had this 'non issue' I have kept
meticulous notes on my work calendar re: how I spend my time at work.
Between administering TUC claims and processing decisions, I am
losing production time lately and it is showing.
SkyeDS: those are things you do because you're told to no?
evile: ex-fucking-ACTLY.
evile: And when processing and TUC and Scan Q and other non-
production things get dumped on me, it's always an 'emergency' and
needs done NOW. So...don't tell me to do something non productive and
then jump my shit because my production #s suck.
evile: Monday I spent the day doing production-only (and chatting
online) and made +30 over my quota. So I am definitely NOT wasting
time on the internet so that it shows..
evile: Tuesday I dealt with late appeal issues, ran the scan Q, and
processed HO decisions, and my production was -30 from my quota.
evile: and I did not spend as much time chatting online yesterday, so
the lack of #s is directly a result of spending 5 hours doing non-
production stuff.
SkyeDS: papertrails are good
evile: absolutely. esp. with the Littlest Nazi lurking around looking
for a victim.
evile: If I don't look like an easy target, she'll move on.
SkyeDS: most criminals are like that
evile: heh
evile: I've been squirreling away $ for my MT trip. It's not enough
really to be considered "fuck you money" but if push came to shove
and she made my life unpleasant enough, I'd walk.
SkyeDS: from job??? you braver than me (we knew that already tho)
evile: And then she could explain to her boss and my boss why the
unit's biggest producer isn't here anymore.
evile: Well, like I said, I don't have enough to do it comfortably,
but I could do it.
evile: I'd rather stick it out here a few more months to give Sweetie a
chance to get established at his new job, let all my medical
insurance and car lease issues settle out, build up a little more
savings... BUT.
SkyeDS: yep
evile: Maybe I'll quit as a 35th bday present to myself. Go rat
around in Europe for a month, then come back and get another job.
SkyeDS: sigh - I wish
evile: Well it's in the 'pipe dream' phase at this point, I still
have a debt albatross hanging around my neck...but with diligent work
I could be rid of the plastic debt in a year.
evile: It's pretty interesting. the work hasn't changed, but I feel a
lot freer knowing that I don't HAVE to be here.
SkyeDS: that's the way I felt when I figured out I could walk from
IBM and work for Hugh and run a ranch
SkyeDS: my neck hurt much less
evile: yup :) I can imagine.
