SkyeDS: Linda passed early this am.
evile: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully she wasn't in pain.
SkyeDS: I don't think so, she was on a morphine drip. Yesterday I
took her a lock of TBone's tail and she
cried.
evile: aww. That was very thoughtful of you. It's good to know people
care about you. Even if you're
wacked out on morphine & stuff.
SkyeDS: I"m lucky I didn't get shot for trespassing. Leslie wasn't
there when I went out to her ranch.
evile: yup. They take that kind of thing seriously here in TX
evile: I don't know what to say...sucks to lose a friend. With
cancer...I kind of feel like the quicker it
happens, the better, unfortunately.
SkyeDS: the doctor said she should have gone last Saturday. She
evidently didn't agree.
evile: She was brave to hang on as long as she did. I hope the people
taking care of her estate do right by
her.
SkyeDS: her children are dead set that they're going to.
evile: It's hard to get stuff taken care of when you're grieving.
They're brave, too.
SkyeDS: I really like her kids. They're all just a little older than
me.
evile: It's good that there are more than one. That will help. They
can lean on each other.
SkyeDS: they don't think Mack (her husband) will make it six months
without her. I'm afraid they might
be right about that.
evile: Widowers seem to have a harder time going on. I've noticed
that, too.
SkyeDS: but then I didn't think Gramma would go long after Grampa and
she is.
evile: I guess she's found new reasons to live, things to keep her
going. Men really depend on marriage &
their spouses. More than women, I think, for most of their deep
emotional needs.
SkyeDS: Linda was trying very hard to hold out for the birth of
another grandbaby first week of June
evile: If there are grandkids or other critters that need taken care
of, maybe Mack will stay around.
SkyeDS: I'm taking one of the critters I think, he's keeping one and
adopting the others out, and yes
grandbabies.
evile: As long as the family keeps him in the loop & lets him feel
needed, I think that will keep him
going.
evile: I hope. It would be hard to lose both parents in a short
period of time, hard for the grandkids to deal
with, too.
evile: I can't believe I'm tired again...but I guess I should go to
bed.
