Finished _The Chronoliths_. Glad I didn't buy from the Sci Fi Bk.
Club, not that I'd ever join that again after they f'ed up my Xmas a
few years back.

It was good, as far as it went, I just didn't like the ending. I
don't know why I read it in the first place--I hate time travel
stories.

Anyhoo...we went to China Star for dinner & it was pretty bad. Things
that were supposed to be crisp were stale and soft, things that were
supposed to be soft were crisp & overdone, everything was pretty
nasty. And it's like a buck more than it was last time we went, so I
don't believe we'll be going again.

*sigh*

Getting stuck in the same ol' SIL madness--her wanting to join gyms &
work out, but of course will not respond or will not be available
when/if I suggest dates/times/specific activities. Fuck'er. I'm doing
OK by myself, and it's alot less stressful to do my own thing than to
wait around on her dumb ass. Even if I'm not a 100% faithful
workout/diet partner to myself, I'm better than she would be.

SIL is nattering on about workouts, gym memberships, swimming, etc,
and I am trying *very* hard not to fall for it this time. I don't
want to get all excited about the possibility of finding a reliable
workout partner and then have her all "Oh, I can't work out with you
that night, that's the night I tie up J and make him cry" or
whatever. She'll be just the same as always, finding/making excuses
not to do whatever I suggest, and then I'll get all pissed, and it'll
just be ugly. So...no. I'm not going there with her again. If she
wants to join a gym, she can do the research herself. If she wants to
go swimming, she can find the closest pools and get the hours
herself. I think the only reason she tells me this is that she can
then use the excuse of me not being a good workout buddy, and it's
all my fault she's so fat. Whatever. Not going there again with her.
Period. The sad/scary thing is that I understand this line of
reasoning & have used it myself when previous workout partners
crapped out on me (Tom, X, SIL). Scary scary. I think the only real
difference between me and SIL is that even though I think like that
sometimes, I _catch_ myself thinking like that,and I _know_ it's
stupid/crazy and try to stop myself. Sad/scary to think that the only
difference between me and SIL is a tiny little smidge of self-
awareness.

  do. But there's plenty around the house, at least, that I say I want

  All the bushes need trimming badly. Backyard needs weeding, edging.
  Front too. weeds need killin'. All of which I can do with no
  additional investment of $. I have the tools, I have gardening
  gloves. I should get to it.
  
  Also to do: clean house thoroughly. Sell shit on Ebay. yeah. Stuff.
  
  Tomorrow is last day of paralegal online. I have utterly biffed it. I
  am 4 lessons behind. *sigh*
  
  Tonight is PNO at Opal Divine's. I'd like to go, hopefully meet up w/
  Bryce & Angela.Esp. Angela. Maybe JT again, Lee & Susan, etc. R.
  ew. But he's now engaged to his gf, so I don't think
  he's a threat anymore. Plus he is a big help at Nude Yoga. His 'wake
  up' routine is really good.
  
  So...that's about it.
  
  I need to call about Tai Chi at NM. See if it's something we can just
  come to whenever, or if we needed to start at the beginning.
