evile: Tgifff! (thank goodness it's finally fucking friday) SO ready
for the weekend!! Are y'all going to Drandmir on Sunday? If the
weather's nice, I might.
SkyeDS: the kids told me yesterday they're moving out this weekend
SkyeDS: this is the last chance I've got to go to Drandmir before the
eventing season starts
evile: "the kids"? your tenants
evile: ?
SkyeDS: nods
SkyeDS: I want to go to Drandmir, I do not want to deal with the old
place this weekend. I don't know when I'll deal with it.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: but seems to me I could stop any evening after work when I'm
already in town, see what there is to be seen, and conference with
sineater and/or sonar0m by cell if need be...
SkyeDS: that is very irresponsible of me I now.
SkyeDS: know.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: but unless they've already had their electric shut off, I can
do that after work in the dark, whereas enjoying the beautiful
weather while it lasts for something more suited for beautiful weather
SkyeDS: if that makes any sense.
evile: weekend time is precious to me, I don't do anything work-like
if I can possibly help it.
evile: I totally understand your point of view.
SkyeDS: I suppose I could drive to Austin Saturday after giving a
lesson
SkyeDS: but I really don't want to waste my last free Saturday either.
evile: yup
SkyeDS: ok, I've rationalized it to myself, I'll check on the place
Monday night ;)
evile: yup.
evile: hm. I'm thinking if argonarcher is bruising his hand, he's doing
something incorrectly...
SkyeDS: I'm not an expert in doing the spanking, I'm usually on the
other end. So I don't know.
evile: spanking doesn't interest me one way or the other....so I
don't, either.
SkyeDS: from what I can tell, he takes advantage of educational
opportunities to learn these things, so he stands a chance of someone
correcting him eventually, and he seems receptive to learning too, so
that's good
evile: *nod*
evile: I'm mostly wondering if the tool wasn't the right size for his
hand or somethng like that...the force needs to transfer from the arm
to the end of the paddle, to the sub, not to the palm of the dom.
SkyeDS: no clue
evile: me neither.
evile: it's either a technique issue or a tool issue, but I don't
know enough to have any good advice for him.
evile: Ok, I bid on the velvet. Too pretty. I could not pass it up...
but I will not bid more if I get outbid.
SkyeDS: we3bellydance velvet or other
SkyeDS: although velvet is velvet, and that's enuff said fer me
SkyeDS: I was >< this close to buying their velvet skirt yesterday
evile: we3. not exactly. silk velvet is much much softer and nicer.
SkyeDS: it was burgundy and there was an hour left on it
evile: *nod*
evile: very tempting :)
evile: I won't have it in time for extravagasm, even if I win it. Oh
well.
SkyeDS: Vic's Secret has a new white gold bra with a 100+ karat
diamond on it
SkyeDS: /me rolls eyes
SkyeDS: no woman with anything over a C or D cup can wear that stuff
as far as I can tell
evile: I havent been able to go in there since they added the
cosmetic/perfume line. that shit is toxic.
SkyeDS: I have breasts. Weight notwithstanding I have ALWAYS had
breasts. When I was perfect weight in highschool, I was wearing 36DD
when I was like, 12.
evile: *nod*
evile: VS has wierd proportions on their stuff, anyway. I much prefer
Freddie's
SkyeDS: nodnods
SkyeDS: I need to order a new black silk bra. I want a royal purple
one too. I don't need it...but I want it...
evile: satin.
evile: Lots of people swear by those enells. I got a sports bra
called 'maia'. not as pretty as their satin, but a lot more
functional for me, at least.
SkyeDS: I love my Enells but I noticed when I brought my corsets over
to visit you that one time that you and I are built way differently
SkyeDS: then again you don't *need* a horse harness like I do :(
SkyeDS: I've worn my favorite black satin until the bottom hook has
completely broken. I hate having to replace my favorite things when
they wear out.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: Janet and my mom both are/were always after me to throw away
things and replace them - my favorite blouse (after it had been
through the sewing machine *again* for the no-telling how many
umpteenth time through many years, or my beloved fedora)
evile: *nod* I always wish, when I have something I really like that
is comfy, that I'd bought more than 1.
SkyeDS: I have a white satin and a black satin (that needs replacing
obviously) and I am ambivalent about getting a purple one while I"m
at it.
SkyeDS: but then it isn't like I have too many bras the way some
women have too many shoes, either.
SkyeDS: and $50 for a bra that fits me right AND stands up to horse
back riding while minimizing bounce as much as anything physically
could, t'ain't bad.
evile: I have too many shoes :) I don't think that's a bad thing, in
and of itself.
SkyeDS: I have too many shoes, in that I don't wear most of what I've
got.
SkyeDS: and iffn I ain't gonna wear em, I should donate them to
someone who will
evile: getting a professional bra fitting & new nice bras is still on
my list of things to get done in 2005. I'm not doing so well with my
year's goals...
evile: http://www.livejournal.com/users/bramblekite/250639.html
evile: bad thing about putting things in writing...they can always
come back to haunt ya.
evile: halfway there, 2 months to go...I suppose it can all still
happen before 2006 :P
SkyeDS: lol ;)
evile: ooh, Rengeek's pictures from faire this past weekend:
http://www.rensites.com/gallery/album606
SkyeDS: he's so funny
evile: I'm trying to remember who took some of me and [Cousin B]...but it
wasn't Mike. foo....Pam's new guy, maybe?
evile: I love Rengeek. He's such a sweetie.
SkyeDS: I just made a whole slew of new icons
evile: cool :)
SkyeDS: and took I can't remember how many quizzes with pretty
pictures
SkyeDS: bad me
evile: *shrug* it's Friday. That's what ya do on Fridays.
SkyeDS: I made a dragon, a black winged nude angel, a drawn angel
with a bow, a fairy and an "air" sorceress.
SkyeDS: truly I never progressed past kindergarten LOL
evile: cool. did you end up getting a paid account so you can use
them all at the same time?
SkyeDS: no.
SkyeDS: so I guess I'll have to do it the longer more tedious way
SkyeDS: because I love my two new pegasus icons too
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I don't know that playing with pictures is worth $20 a year
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I get to leave at 4 today and sineater wants to go see a movie
evile: cool. what are y'all going to see?
SkyeDS: Serenity
evile: aha. :)
SkyeDS: /me is personally waiting for the next Zorro (because of the
horses of course, and CZJ is not hard on the eyes either, nor is
Banderas), and Narnia
evile: the previews for Zorro look cool. I still havent' seen any for
Narnia. But I loved the books.
SkyeDS: I read all 7 in four days
SkyeDS: sineater bought this great big one volume, it was awesome.
evile: cool :)
SkyeDS: I am rereading everything I was supposed to read and evaded
back when
SkyeDS: I appreciate them more now
SkyeDS: (I'm older and I'm not being forced)
evile: I'm finally getting around to Nabokov. Somehow I escaped
having to read him when I was in school.
SkyeDS: I got around reading all sorts of things. Brave New World,
Lord of the Flies
SkyeDS: for some reason Narnia was never on my required reading, I
don't know why
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: but I suspect I wouldn't have avoided it as much as the others
SkyeDS: Mom tried to make me read Lord of the Flies, so that's what
was with that
SkyeDS: I avoided reading any more Tolkien because what they forced
on us in the first place was the Hobbit, which was f'ing boring.
SkyeDS: education is somewhat wasted on youth
evile: Tolkein was difficult for me, too
SkyeDS: I probably would have enjoyed the trilogy, if someone had
convinced me it wasn't as boring as the Hobbit.
evile: wasnt the right age for it when it was given to me, and by the
time I was, I'd read enough derivative books that the original seemed
like the more contrived and stilted creation.
SkyeDS: I started Poe on my own in the 4th grade even though Mom told
me I wasn't old enough yet
SkyeDS: she said this because I was asking her what every other word
meant, and when she got tired of that, then I had to resort to the
dictionary
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: she took me out of private school after two years because
they were going to make us read Tale of Two Cities before she
thought it was age appropriate
SkyeDS: I just don't do well when given something and told I must
read it
SkyeDS: and I *hated* Silas Marner.
evile: yup
SkyeDS: I ended up liking Tale of Two Cities, but I liked Sydney the
best LOL
evile: I don't think I ever read it.
SkyeDS: I don't like much Victorian
SkyeDS: I like Wilde and Austen
SkyeDS: I liked the Brontes when I was young and liked mushy sappy
SkyeDS: but Wilkie Collins, and most Dickens, bores me to tears
SkyeDS: as did Vandover and the Brute and Melville and just about
everyone of their ilk
evile: yup
SkyeDS: I took a class senior year in Hawthorn, Poe, Melville and
Dickinson
SkyeDS: which I loved despite the Melville
evile: 3 out of 4 aint bad.
SkyeDS: but American Novel before 1920 was like, American Novel
before it got good, or American Novel when it sucked
SkyeDS: except for Poe and Hawthorn
SkyeDS: the Prof didn't like me either, that didn't help matters
evile: no
SkyeDS: we read Kate Chopin in that class too - I remember liking
Chopin and Hawthorn and not much else
evile: I read the awakening in college...I don't remember being
thrilled with it.
SkyeDS: and when the discussions on my two favorites sucked, largely
because the rest of the class sucked and the prof encouraged suckage,
I divorced myself as much as I could.
SkyeDS: I'm probably remembering the Awakening say versus Vandover
and the Brute, or Typee, or Moby Dick
evile: right.
SkyeDS: but anyone who can ruin the Scarlet Letter...
evile: sad.
evile: bout time for me to boogie. Enjoy your movie & your weekend.
maybe see ya Sunday.
SkyeDS: [Auto Response] I am currently away from the computer.
