Saturday, round 1, sineater called to say he wouldn't be coming to
HOuston with me after all. "The trailer goes on market Monday and it
isn't ready and it's my fault" Well...who decided when it goes on the
market? How did it become your fault that someone else made an
arbitrary decision which then kept you from being able to do what you
planned on doing this weekend? I didn't say any of that, but I
thought it. I was angry and disappointed, and hten he called again
around 6 and said they'd gotten work done on the trailer so he could
go after all. I met up with them at Central Market, where I was
introduced to her friends, some skinny white trash guy with a pointy
chin and two chubby nothing women and an infant and a little girl.
They left after a while, and then it was just me, sineater, Skye_ds, and
sonar0m, and the bird of course, which was fairly quiet. There was a
band playing on the back patio, called "Mundi Ensemble" The sound was
kind of wretched, but from what I could hear, it was pretty music.
    Kind of Enya-ish, maybe? World/celtic/renaissance?

sineater came home with me (he actually remembered to pack for
overnight!) and I went to bed around 10:30. Up 7:30 Sunday, sineater has
become much nicer in the mornings than I remember him being in HS. We
made good time to Houston, didn't really get lost but weren't quite
sure where to go, so we got a map & found our way. Took 2 hours & 15
minutes or so to get to houston, and about an hour to get from the
    edge of Houston to Nana's.

I took Mom her bday presents from Aunt L, we visited. Kate brought
Dylan, Stephanie's son, and he played with his gun and then Terri
(Uncle B's ex wife) brought Nana some V-day presents, and her two boys
and the 3 kids played while we visited. Kate and Terri don't like
each other, but they were pleasant. Then Stephanie came over, and mom
& I went and got Taco Cabana for lunch, and by the time we got back
Kate had left & Terri had left with her boys, one of them had
baseball or something, so we ate and visited with Steph, Nana, Dylan,
& Mom. It was really really nice.

Mom & Nana gave us a tour of the yard & showed us the stuff they'd
planted, and Mom gave me some volunteer trees to give to Aunt L, and we
left around 5:15. We got a little lost, and there was construction. I
had to turn around at one point, pulled into a dead end street in a
skeevy neighborhood by I-59, then into a driveway, then backed out of
the driveway, scraped the front bumper on the driveway, adn bonked
the back bumper on a curb and/or a car behind me. ACK. It made a dent
on the back bumper, which Sweetie pushed out for me when I came home. I
really really hope I didn't hurt whatever I hit. I feel guilty, bad,
and cowardly for not getting out and checking. I imagine Advantage
rent a car will be billing me heavily for the damage to the bumper.
When Sweetie got done with it there was a bump and a scuff. Yuck. :( I
haven't done well with cars lately.

Anyway, I took sineater to Rockdale (UB and sonar0m and horses weren't
back from Drandmir yet...I could SO have taken him to G'town and met
up wth them there, but UB said they were leaving G'town soon when he
called her as we were leaving Houston) ANYWAY, I don't really care.
I'm glad sineater was able to come with me, and among the many hours of
talk about music, movies, zoids, transformers, etc, there was
actually a bit of relationship talk, where I was ostensibly talking
about Brother A/Rubber_Pig/Trey but in RL talking about sineater/Skye_ds, too, and
hopefully that penetrated to some level with him. At one point, he
expressed anger and frustration that Trey's family hasn't done shit
about the situation, and why are WE getting stuck with all of this
drama garbage, and I said "Look, they've been dealing with Rubber_Pig for
over 10 years now, and we've only been dealing with her for a little
more than a year...don't you think they've TRIED to help Trey? Maybe
trying to be supportive and make the best of it at first, maybe being
there for him during all their fights and his back and forth of
leaving her and then going back, and then going to trying to rescue
him and saying things like 'we'll do THIS for you if you leave
her'...and after watching him leave and go back time and again,
watching him choose her abuse and her lies over the family's love
again and again...they're worn out, they've had their hearts broken a
    million times."...I cried.

I hope it got through. He talked about their last fight, and how
he'd 'lied' and said stuff and then denied saying it, like he used to
do earlier in the relationship, and why was he going back to patterns
that he hadn't done in years and years? [translate: she interpreted
his words a certain way and browbeat him into 'admitting' he actually
said what she only THOUGHT he said or something insane like that]

I suggested that he try harder to remove himself when the abusive
verbal stuff starts, saying I know she's got abandonment issues,
which woudl be triggered by doing that, but better to have her
feeling abandoned than attacking her....I don't think he bought it.

    Oh well.

    I tried.

Mack: HALLO MEIN SCHWEETIE HAPFI VALENTINDAE
evile: Hi, sweetie :) Happy VD to you too. Home for lunch?
    Mack: Ayep
    evile: yumyum
Mack: I think I'll take the Ghia for the second half of the day.
evile: The gals are going for Hot Dogs for deener tonight. Yumm...
Mack: Parked the maroon trooper in front of the neighbors. :)
    evile: YAY :)
Mack: Guess I need to go tire shopping at some point
Mack: Where are you going to get hotdogs?
evile: it's called "Dog Almighty", wanna come?
    Mack: Hrm. Mayyyybe.
evile: Well, you're more than welcome :)
evile: I should have thought to ask if you were interested in the
show at Sidekicks, but now I think they're sold out :(
    Mack: What was it?
evile: It is "burlesque without borders"
    Mack: Heh
evile: it's a benefit show for dr.s without borders
Mack: heehee. When tk told me that he was going to Costa Rica, I
asked him if he was going as part of Doctors without Morals.
    evile: *laff!*
Mack: I guess we could take seperate cars or something.
    Mack: Where's Dog Almighty?
evile: Or I could get a ride from dinner to the show with one of the
    girlies.
    evile: 6701 Burnet Rd.
    http://dogalmightyhotdog.com/locations.html
Mack: ohhh yeah. Where BBQ World HQ is/used to be
    evile: I think so.
Mack: I could probably ride home from there.
evile: Oh, yeah, that's possible too :)
Mack: okay... I'm going to muck with the ghia and go.
    Mack: xoxoxo
    Mack: see you tonight
    evile: Love you! :)

    evile: hi!
SkyeDS: how do :) was trip good? sineater thought so.
evile: Yup, we had a good visit with everyone.
SkyeDS: sineater came home more reassured.
    evile: good.
evile: It actually turned out to be a mostly-pretty day, too. We got
some rain in Houston, but not too bad.
SkyeDS: was absolutely gorgeous here. Woke up early in the am to
heavy downpour, may have cursed in my sleep, went back to sleep, woke
up to nothing but blue sky and sun
    evile: nice :)
SkyeDS: met some members of the Georgetown Sheriff's Posse last night
who invited us to be in a parade
    evile: cool!
SkyeDS: that is the same weekend as the equestrian college bryn gwlad
is joint hosting with tir medoin (our shire)
    evile: oh...
SkyeDS: Karen the bitchdragon told me my job at our joint event is to
    stay out of bridget's way
SkyeDS: if Laura goes, makes decision tough
SkyeDS: if she doesn't, I'm going to the parade
SkyeDS: that ought to be far enough away from bridget, ya think?
    evile: there ya go :)
SkyeDS: if it looks bad that the only equestrians in the shire don't
go to the shire's cohosted eq event, oh, fucking, well
    evile: *nod*
evile: The rental car company hasn't called me about the bumper...I
wonder if they'll just add a charge to my card.
SkyeDS: what happened to the bumper
evile: I bonked the curb or something when I was backing up to turn
    around
evile: Sweetie got the dent out (stupid plastic piece of crap bumper!)
    but it's still scuffed.
SkyeDS: hopefully it will turn ok regardless
evile: that's why god made plastic.
evile: I'd rather spend my money on fun...but sometimes shit happens.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: I think even if it costs as much as my leased car bumper, I'll
still be able to work my plan of getting out of plastic debt by the
    end of this year.
SkyeDS: I was getting there, until...oh well.
evile: yeah...shit happens. It's good to have the plastic safety net
in place, always sad to have to use it, but good that it's there.
SkyeDS: now that I have a new lease signed I can file suit.
    evile: *nod* cool!
evile: your friends seemed very nice; I hope they will make good
    tenants.
    SkyeDS: hopefully
evile: You've already had the "live frog for breakfast" tenants, so
nothing that can happen after them could possibly be that bad :)
SkyeDS: I can tell right now that the park is going to give us grief
SkyeDS: how fucking dare they after two of their handpicked tenants
    were so shitty
evile: Seems they'd be happy to get their money and have some decent
    people living there?
    SkyeDS: too logical
evile: well, I hope they aren't too crappy to you or your new tenants.
SkyeDS: one lease signed by one person and they want two application
    fees.
    evile: that's ridiculous!
SkyeDS: I told sineater that, after he already paid them before telling
me, and calling me after the fact to ask me to put money in his acct
    to cover it
    evile: ouch.
SkyeDS: and the electric cmpany is going to give grief because the
    last tenants left owing
    evile: crap!
SkyeDS: first of all, nancy and the park can kiss my fat happy
    italian ass
SkyeDS: secondly, I will get what I want, petty bureaucracy with the
    coa or not
    evile: you go girl!
SkyeDS: the honey went out the window a long time ago
SkyeDS: if I have to use vinegar so be it, right now that's just fine
    and dandy by me
    evile: *nod*
evile: My LJ friend rei_kun is coming in to Austin on Friday. I think
he and Nikiyoy  might be interested in each other.. I'd like to meet him,
but I dont' want to get in the way if they want to go play.
    SkyeDS: nodnod
evile: Depending on what time he gets in, maybe we'll do dinner and
then I can say I've got to get up early for Yoga, so bye now... which
is actually true. I do have to get up for Yoga on Saturday.
    SkyeDS: excellent idea :)
SkyeDS: last two people I matchmade are engaged to be married
SkyeDS: were supposedly two of my best friends
SkyeDS: and now hate my guts for no reason I can understand at all
evile: wow...that kinda sucks. I mean, great that they found true
love or wahtever, but no reason to be ugly to you in the process.
SkyeDS: I"m not as surprised by him (he was an ex)
SkyeDS: as I was by her
SkyeDS: I was her best friend and carried all sorts of her shit for
her for more than five years
    evile: that really sucks.
SkyeDS: she hates her family, is going to tell everyone who loves her
to go fuck themselves, marry him and go off to New Zealand
    evile: poor thing
    SkyeDS: smart.
SkyeDS: why do women do that?
evile: no clue. It's sad to watch.
SkyeDS: completely remove themselves from all the support systems
necessary to rescue one from bad situations?
evile: it's a pattern in abusive relationships that the abuser
influences the person to remove themselves physically and emotionally
from their support systems. And somehow end up thinking it was their
    idea & not the abusers.
evile: I mean, I think there is a natural tendency to get all "NRE"
and spend the majority of your free time with your new sweetie, and
that's normal, but abusive relationships just push that one or two
    steps further
SkyeDS: he's older than I am, and she's Kaleon's age.
    evile: ick.
evile: Another pretty picture for you:

    20victory.JPG
    SkyeDS: :) tyty
evile: Here is his rendition of Gemini. I like the purple eyes with
    moon & stars :)
    http://www.erte.com/zodiac/gemini.html

    SkyeDS: love purple :)
evile: *nod* I know that :P
evile: There are several galleries in the French Quarter that carry
erte sculpture...OMG, too gorgeous for words.
    SkyeDS: :D
evile: It's been entirely too long since my last visit to New
Orleans. Now that Mardi Gras is over, and before it gets too hot,
would be a good time to go.
    SkyeDS: yep
evile: Your schedule for Gulf Wars is probably pretty tight, but you
should wave at 'er on the way by, anyway :)
SkyeDS: one of these days will take the children for a vacation there
evile: wouldn't recommend driving the horse trailer anywhere in the
Quarter....narrow streets & lotsa potholes. But other than that, fun.
You could ride in Audubon park :)
SkyeDS: I did research into horse hotels/bnbs a while back
SkyeDS: but don't remember what I found
SkyeDS: except I found private stuff and state/national stuff
evile: I know there's a riding stable in Audubon park, but I don't
know if they board or anything like that. Used to see people in the
whole english riding getup in the park all the time.
SkyeDS: like hermann park and central park
evile: *shrug* I wouldn't know, I've never been to those.
SkyeDS: hermann park = houston, central park = nyc
evile: Like I said...never been to either one.
evile: Might have driven thru that houston one yesterday...we got
    lost.
SkyeDS: what meant was, stables there, people riding in park
    evile: *nod*
evile: There must be riding stables in Central Park, I can't imagine
anone trucking their animals through NY to go riding there...
evile: then again, I can't imagine driving any type of vehicle in new
york city for any reason. I can think of far more pleasant ways I'd
    like to die, thanks.
SkyeDS: we drove to long island, stayed there, took train into town
    SkyeDS: without children of course
    evile: yeah
evile: For me New Orleans is strolling the quarter, art & antique
galleries, drinking, eating....nothing horses or birds would be much
    interested in.
SkyeDS: there's an older gentleman takes three cockatoos (big ones)
    around town with him
    evile: *nod*
evile: My next trip is going to be to Chinati hot springs & Marfa
lights. I'm thinking March 25-27th or around there.
evile: aww! J-Law sent me an email, Shane sent her flowers at work and
the card said: "to the love of my life and to the woman whose beauty
    outshines these roses."
SkyeDS: likes him, likes him lots :)
evile: I do too. He is a sweetheart.
evile: I'm just so happy for her :)
SkyeDS: if I had a HP wand all my friends would have relationships
    like that
    evile: me too.
evile: J-Law says: I called him to thank him for the flowers, and I
said, "so, I figured out who the love of your life is, but who is
    that other chick?"

    SkyeDS: rofl
evile: She's so funny. She and Shane laugh together a lot. I think
that is pretty much the key to a good relationship. Find the one who
makes you laugh, because everything else is gonna go south
    eventually. :P
    SkyeDS: I completely agre
    SkyeDS: +e
    evile: :)
SkyeDS: have said before, am sucker for someone who makes me laugh
SkyeDS: not hard, though, I'm easily amused
evile: That's a good trait, too, IMHO.
evile: It's good to be able to look around and find humor in whatever
    situation you're currently in. :P
evile: or at least realize it'll be funny and make a good story
LATER, once you're done being pissed off/inconvenienced/embarassed :)
evile: well, time for me to take off. I hope you and sineater have a nice
    Valentine's day together :)
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
    evile: *hugs*
    SkyeDS: :D
