evile: hi :)
SkyeDS: how do :)
evile: Pretty good. At least the day is passing quickly.
SkyeDS: cool
evile: I need to send [brotner A]'s bday card & realized I don't have his
new addy. Naturally, I have no signal on my phone today & can't call
[Aunt L].
SkyeDS: :|
evile: Oh well. I sent her email. Hopefully she'll have a chance to
check. Father Jim is still visiting, so she may not be going into the
guest room to check email while he's here. I can always call her
tonight.
SkyeDS: sineater is coming over to play with sewing machine. Where is
that sewing machine fixit place again? next to Tandy?
evile: Yup. No idea what their hours are or rates or anything like
that.
evile: the workshop at the crossings last night was a little
disappointing. AND the spa has raised their rates. Offering more
services now, but more $$, too :(
evile: they offer 'watsu for 2' now, though. that might be fun.
SkyeDS: qu'est-ce que c'est watsu
evile: aquatic massage. I haven't tried it, but I REALLY want to.
SkyeDS: ooo
evile: it's $100 per person for 50 minutes. I imagine I won't be
doing it too dang often, but it would be great to try once, at least.
SkyeDS: wow
evile: yeah
evile: I still want to do a day pass one of these days. Maybe a
Sunday in November...
SkyeDS: I'd already done some research into the Zone. People who do
well on ATkins do better on the Zone, if they can learn discipline
SkyeDS: which isn't my middle name
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: so then Laura has gone on the Fat Flush plan
evile: South Beach, too.
SkyeDS: which is co authored by the dr. who authored the zone
SkyeDS: so I'm going to investigate both together
evile: hm.
evile: Furries on Atkins. Now *there* is a specialty interest:
http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=anthroatkins
SkyeDS: um, ok.
evile: (was looking for LJ communties for fat flush, actually, & got
sidetracked)
SkyeDS: there are lots of reviews on amazon
evile: *nod*
evile: http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=stregheria
SkyeDS: I know there's a streghe group on LJ, they don't seem very
active though (nor very connected)
evile: *nod*
evile: http://www.livejournal.com/community/dark_witchcraft/
evile: Alot of the communites aren't too active, but there's
interesting info to glean if you feel like scrolling back
SkyeDS: nods
SkyeDS: I haven't checked my coven site in months
SkyeDS: I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't get dumped for lack of
response
SkyeDS: not that that would bother me, because I can't learn anything
from those people when all they do is jump all over me and completely
misinterpret everything I say
evile: *nod*
evile: e. went for coffee Monday night with our new gothboy, she
said it didn't go all that well. *sigh* Oh well.
SkyeDS: where'd they go?
evile: No idea, actually. Not to be utterly vain an dself centered,
but I think what initially attracted him to our trio was her
cleavage, but what made him stay was my conversatinal skills.
evile: yeah, I'm one of those "great personality/such a pretty face"
fat girls, and I am OK with that :P
SkyeDS: I have no clue about what attracts men (outside of physical
attributes) and never have had a clue
evile: well...you must be doing somethng right.
SkyeDS: I guess (if doing nothing counts)
evile: I'm not good at girl games, but I am good at making friends
with guys, and I guess everything else just goes from there....
SkyeDS: I notice that with a few notable exceptions I get along with
men better than women
evile: *nod* me too.
SkyeDS: shining example: I'm happier in Randy's workshop with all the
guys watching them do something I have no interest in whatsoever
SkyeDS: than being in the room with Karen and her female sycophants
talking about things I AM interested in, but not in sharing with them
evile: that's too bad.
evile: Oh, how entertaining. apparently the 'poly campout' at the
beginning of the month was such a bust that nobody's coming to the
poly TRF campout.
evile: Indulging in schadenfreude is such an unflattering, nasty
habit. But it's so much fun sometimes.
SkyeDS: what happened/didn't happen?
evile: The Poly campout earlier this month at Lake Whitney was
apparently 5 kids for every 1 adult or something appalling like that.
evile: Karen was one of the main organizers of that, so when she
posted 'kid friendly' for the TRF campout, I guess eveyrone bailed.
SkyeDS: maybe they should try a NK instead.
evile: It's not that the poly folk are opposed to kids, I don't
think, just that the ones who do show up are expected to be
wellbehaved, polite and WATCHED by their parents....so danged
unreasonable, dont you agree?
SkyeDS: I didn't have a problem with the many kids at HK, but then,
they *were* well behaved and polite, even when they weren't watched
by their parents, and for the most part, they weren't.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: of course when you can trust your kids to be well behaved and
polite you don't have to breathe down their backs every moment
evile: well, yeah.
SkyeDS: come to think on it, we did a great deal of "babysitting" at
HK, if you want to call the kids hanging around sans parents
babysitting
evile: so, imagine you were trying to make conversation about adult
topics, or perhaps engage in adult behavior, and mom and dad of
sproggy had bunked sproggy with YOU, while bunking themselves in
another cabin...
SkyeDS: I made sure parentals were ok before putting them in the pen,
and I turned them lose in the pen with cookies and brushes so they
could do something constructive and pleasurable for all concerned
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: um? no.
SkyeDS: and I bet the sex temple at ESA is handy for that
SkyeDS: for whatever reason you can't use your own tent, you can go
there
SkyeDS: why would you put your kids in someone else's tent?
evile: *nod* at poly big fun, there are 4 cabins rated G to XXX, and
you bunk yourselves accordingly.
evile: not tents, cabins.
SkyeDS: why not put them in t heir own tent if it comes down to
separate tent
evile: not tents, cabins.
SkyeDS: so, poly big fun sounds well organized, but this poly campout
was not.
evile: exactly.
evile: TRF campout is going to be majority aduts, regardless of
whatever numbers the poly folks bring.
evile: But it looks like most folks didn't want to take the chance.
evile: Nikiyoy cancelled her party , though, because she thought more
people were going to faire this weekend. So that kinda sucks.
evile: oof. The weekend forecast looks muggy! Isolated Tstorms, highs
of 88-89 and lows of 67-68 in Plantersville.
SkyeDS: hope we get enough good weather to get the fence up
evile: *nod*
evile: OMG, my Launchcast is playing a hilarious song, it's
called "Save a horse, ride a cowboy"...I don't know if it's supposed
to be a real C&W song or not. that white trash woman song was 'real'.
C&W fans must eithe rbe oblivious to irony or have a great sense of
humor about themselves, one.
SkyeDS: latter
evile: :) It's a funny song. I like it.
SkyeDS: C/W fond of strong emotion both ways
SkyeDS: likes to laugh, hard
SkyeDS: likes to cry, hard (witness "Don't Take the Girl")
evile: *shrug* never heard it, far as I know.
SkyeDS: someone always plays it at the 290 when my mouth is full of
chicken fried steak, a particularly bad time to start bawling
evile: hm.
evile: I think I've only been there the once, with you, and I don't
remember the music.
SkyeDS: http://members.aol.com/blueyedtom/lyrics/donttakethegirl.html
evile: good. lord.
evile: The speaker at the crossings last night was an accupuncturist
& a homeopathic..whatever. practitioner? I didn't like her attitude,
but I do want to try accupuncture sometime.
SkyeDS: I've heard it's effective for lots of things when done right
evile: *nod*
evile: I can't wait to get outta here, so I can go home & get ready
for crafty stuff
evile: I had originally thought Id set up in the living room, more
space, but it's dirty. My workroom is not as much room, but already
tidy enough to work in.
evile: I guess I'll see what I feel like when I walk thru the door.
SkyeDS: my mom asked for my house key when we left last weekend
SkyeDS: I was somewhat afeared of what I would find when I got home
evile: I hope you didn't give it to her.
SkyeDS: thankfully she didn't get past the kitchen
evile: ick.
evile: well, it's magic time. I'm going to go toss papers about.
SkyeDS: wind to your wings :)
evile: *hugs* talk at ya later :)
