I finally dicked around enough with Bank of America on my end of
lease statement & got them to fix the bill. Yay.

Then I got in 3 medical bills--2 for the procedure I just had and 1
for routine stuff for the last several times at the Dr. that itemized
things 60 and 90 days over due...and this is the FIRST bill I've
gotten from his office. I was a little pissed. I wrote an ugly letter.

But I juggled my finances around, robbed my savings account, and all
will be well in the end. It will be VERY nice not to have that car
lease nonsense hanging over my head anymore.

With the medical stuff, who knows if that's the end of it? Hopefully
we're all done. I hate the BCBS mails that say 'this is not a bill'
and 'amount you may owe' bla bla. Sometimes I get a bill from someone
after that, sometimes I don't, and the amounts dont' match up anyhow.
    URGH!

Dinner last night at Culvers. Fries & sandwich rather ordinary, not
very salty (good, I guess, for fast food) Peglegasus got cheese curds, which
are battered & fried, like mini mozzarella stix. Yummy. I now see the
appeal of such. The ones in MT were not that great. THen again they
    were cold and NOT fried.

Anyhoo...phone duty at work. Home early, then out for pizza with
Ladydreamtime, Rainking, Scrith & onyxlynxx(& maybe others) to celebrate
Ladydreamtime and Rainking getting their house!

Is she becoming addicted to painkillers? Bad...

evile: just got done w/phone duty from heck!!
    SkyeDS: good riddance then
evile: yeah. I get to go home at 3:20, though. :)
    SkyeDS: yay :)
    evile: yeah, that'll be nice.
evile: I love this thing for talking with real people I know in RL,
but the trollyspammers are annoying as hell.
    SkyeDS: nods
    evile: "R U a boy or a girl?"
Great line. I really want to talk to a person who types like that and
    asks questions like that.

    SkyeDS: I love ignore.
    evile: *nodnod*
evile: Looks like we're going to see Troy on June 1st, 7pm at the
Gateway. You're welcome to join us, if your schedule permits :)
SkyeDS: will write that down, t hanks :)
SkyeDS: oh wait. new tenant moving in after work :(
    evile: dammit!
evile: Well, if it's any good at all, I'll probably be up for seeing
    it more than once.
    SkyeDS: :)
evile: I'd see SEcret window again, but probably not Hidalgo--it was
kind of long and it made me CRY
evile: I get a feeling June's gonna be a "cheap movies" kinda month.
SkyeDS: I want to see both
    SkyeDS: haven't seen either
evile: I have seen them both. Secret Window is at the dollar movies.
Also, dawn of the dead & taking lives. I heard taking lives is really
bad, but I'd watch Angelina Jolie brush her teeth and gladly pay $2
    to do it...
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: She has a wierd mouth, but I dig her bod...
SkyeDS: I like her much better with her natural hair color
SkyeDS: I didn't like what they did to her hair in Gone 60 seconds
    evile: yeah...bad choice.
evile: Watched Edward Scissorhands in MT with my mom & sister...boy,
Winona Ryder had BAD hair color in that.
    SkyeDS: ew
evile: Yeah, she is one who really can't do anything but her natural
    color & look good.
evile: Nicole Kidman looks better red. Monica Belluci looked great in
all 3 colors she had in "Malena." (liked the red best but I think
    that's me..)
SkyeDS: the opening shots of NK in Moulin Rouge were exquisite
evile: *nodnod* I never liked her before & haven't really lusted for
her since...but her MR hair color was *gorgeous* ([sister H] says it was
    wigs and not dye)
SkyeDS: and the makeup was flawless
    evile: yup.
evile: I still want them to put out a big color book of movie stills
so I can get a better look at all the can can dresses.... *pout*
    SkyeDS: aw
evile: Not that I could sew such a thing in a million years...but I
    wanna look.
evile: Not good..today is feeling like a Friday.
    SkyeDS: I wish
evile: J-Law is going to NYC tomorrow, it's her Friday. Lucky gal!
    SkyeDS: <sigh>
evile: Her friend Kevin is living there now, having a great ol' time,
    apparently.
SkyeDS: went another round w/ the therapist today
evile: What's the latest Brilliant Plan?
    SkyeDS: usual collar debate
    evile: meds, no meds, PT?
    SkyeDS: yep
SkyeDS: told them, once more, look
SkyeDS: I had a good weekend for the first time in a long time
SkyeDS: I had a good day yesterday, ditto
SkyeDS: I'm trying to manage pain
SkyeDS: ya'll won't even give me pain med
SkyeDS: and I'd rather wear the collar for very short peirods of time
SkyeDS: than pop darvoset all damn day
    evile: makes sense.
    SkyeDS: "but you're going backwards"
SkyeDS: look, honey, I'm not going forwards when the pain is worse
than it was when this all began in January
SkyeDS: "but prolonged use is bad!"
    evile: bizarre.
SkyeDS: ok, what part of "I don't wear it but half an hour at a time,
a very few times a day" don't you understand
SkyeDS: I am NOT wearing it for PROLONGED time
    evile: ?? WTf!!
SkyeDS: I'm writing their opinions off
SkyeDS: the way I do the obg's about my blood pressure
SkyeDS: they don't understand pain management so be it
evile: I dont' see why you have to stick with these nimrods...can't
    you get another opinion?
SkyeDS: they're good for what they're good for
SkyeDS: which is supervising my exercises
evile: It is a hassle to go shopping for another Dr...but if these
people aren't going to help you any more than that, maybe time.
SkyeDS: I don't know about the Dr yet
SkyeDS: I talk to him tomorrow
SkyeDS: but I'm just going to take the good parts of what the
    therapists are capable of
SkyeDS: and ignore them the rest of the time
    evile: yup.
SkyeDS: like I ignored Peter about vegetarian diet, at yoga
    evile: yup
SkyeDS: they want to fire me, they can
SkyeDS: bet I could find appropriate exercises online or in a book if
    I did my research
evile: I'm sure the Dr. can find you another one who might actually
    *listen* to you...
SkyeDS: the therapists work for the doctor
evile: oh well. maybe not then. But mayb eif you mention that Dr's
people aren't paying any attention to you when you tell them what's
going on, he can shake 'em up a little...
SkyeDS: I'll tell him Thu same thing I've told them at least twice now
SkyeDS: I'm not going to suffer more pain than I did when this began
    evile: yup
SkyeDS: I have a degree in English.
SkyeDS: I'm certified as a paralegal and a teacher.
SkyeDS: I understand what "prolonged use is bad" means
    evile: I would think...
SkyeDS: I am perfectly capable of figuring out how to wean myself off
    gradually
SkyeDS: but cold turkey, with no pain meds, is NOT working
SkyeDS: so I'm going to do what works for me
SkyeDS: the exercises they give me are very good
    SkyeDS: the advice, sucks
evile: would be nice to have a little more support and help from
them...not to mention a few pills just in case.
SkyeDS: mom left me some darvoset
    evile: ick.
SkyeDS: and I'm going to tell the doctor he'd best give me a pain
    prescription
    SkyeDS: a narcotic one
SkyeDS: although I still don't want to pop pills if I have a better
    way to manage pain
SkyeDS: like not stopping the collar cold turkey
    evile: right.
evile: I've been taking Emergen-C with MSM and that's helped my knees
tremendously. I'm happy :) Still need to lose weight to take stress
off them, anyway, but it's nice to have a short term solution.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: I don't really know if MSM is just for joint-rebuilding or for
helping with cartilage anywhere...or even if it's just mind ove
matter & not 'real' at all. I like it. That's the important part :P
    SkyeDS: yep
evile: I am so ready to be outta here today. I wonder if schools out
yet, or if I'm going to be on the bus with a billion rowdy kids.
SkyeDS: school's out sometime this week
    SkyeDS: for most places
evile: I guess we'll see...I know UT is out, but that's about it. Oh,
and I think Gtown is out because Sunshine said his ceremony is Friday.
SkyeDS: Manor's out sometime this week too K said
    SkyeDS: Thu maybe don't remember
evile: hm. Next time I have a bunch of extra $$ laying around, I'm
getting an ipod or somesuch so that the school kids won't be an issue
    on the bus anymore
    SkyeDS: good idea
evile: Usually just reading helps me tune out but a bus full of kids
is loud enough to break my concentration
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: As long as I have a half hour to myself between schoolkids and
any social interaction, I can decompress and be OK.
evile: I can't believe anyone can work with them for an 8+ hour
workday/40+ hour work week. I'd kill myself.
evile: I liked Mom's kids. But they were small town, private school,
and from a culture that respects elders...
SkyeDS: teachers mad now, AISD going to have a teacher dress code
    evile: wierd.
SkyeDS: the ones that dress like whores ruining it for everyone else
SkyeDS: grade school teachers get in the floor with their kids
SkyeDS: don't need to be wearing long skirts and heels
evile: I thought they already had a dress code...bizarre.
    SkyeDS: not for teachers
SkyeDS: been left up to individual principals
    evile: hm. Well, that sucks.
SkyeDS: yes, teachers need not to dress like whores
SkyeDS: but can't you manage that without being overly silly about
what elementary school teachers can wear
    evile: one would think.
evile: Our dress code is pretty broad. But it's never enforced, or
sporadically enforced..so we might as well not have one.
evile: it's just one big lawsuit waiting to happen..
SkyeDS: all it takes is one pissed off employee
    evile: yup!
evile: Personally, I dont' think it's that unreasonable: no short
skirts, no sleeveless shirts, no tshirts, no jeans with holes, no
open toe shoes, stuff like that.
evile: Well, looks like time for me to sort out my paperwork & get
    gone.
evile: I'm in the middle of a good book, so hopefully it will be
enough to keep my focus off the loud bus
    evile: _Kushiels Chosen_==it's #2 in a series of 3. I don't usually
read series, but this ones pretty good and I am pretty sure it wraps
up at the end of #3 and doesn't go on endlessly.
evile: Anyhoo, I'm outta here. *hugs* see ya! Good luck with the Dr!
