1810Family visiting

  Still no plans for tonight. Mom pitched a hissy fit
  last night because stepdad was being grumpy when we told
  him that it's about a 2 hour drive from Austin to San
  Antonio, with the construction & traffic. They weren't
  planning on staying at ex-stepdad's Friends' NYE party for
  more than an hour, so driving 4 hours for a 1 hour
  party seemed silly to stepdad, but Mom wants to see some
  of ex-stepdad's friends, bla bla. I don't care where we go,
  or IF we go, I just don't want people being bitchy. I
  offered to drive so that they could sleep in the car,
  I tried to offer some various options, but it was all
  'no no no' --argh.
  
  I just want to spend time with my family. That's all.
  But...not if they're going to be bitchy.
  
  sineater came over to L&B's after work yesterday--he was really out of
  it, couldn't hold a thought more than a sentence at a time & stuff.
  Terrifying. He gets that way when he doesn't get enough sleep & I
  think he was also taking DayQuil. I hate to say it or even think it,
  but irregular sleep habits is how a lot of cults break their members'
  will. I don't know if skye_ds does it deliberately but she seems to
  keep sineater awake past a normal bed time, or wake him up whenever she
  needs to talk, or whatever, so he hasn't had normal sleep patterns in
  years. Like when he was working days and she was working security
  nights, she expected him to be up and available when she got home at
  3 a.m. or whenever. I think it's a large contributing factor to the
  question of why he stays.
