    Taurus
    Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
A group of friends, or perhaps an organization with whom you're
affiliated, dear Taurus, might make a lot of demands on your time and
skills today. You might not be too pleased about this, but you're
likely to try to do what they want, and in doing so overtax your
strength. The resulting stress isn't worth it. Do what you feel you
should do, but don't be too afraid or too proud to ask for
    assistance.

    Gemini
    Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
Dealing with other people could be a source of tension for you, dear
Gemini. A lackadaisical attitude on the part of family members, or
members of a group you're affiliated with, might irritate you a
little today. There are tasks to be taken care of that others seem to
be ignoring! Don't yield to the temptation to get angry. Simply ask
for assistance, calmly but firmly. You might be surprised at the
    results!
    ============================================================
This horoscope is a few days late.

Anyway....last night was fairly...um...disastrous? Is that a good
    word?

E&A were already done eating at Cafe Mundi by the time I
got there 'round 6:50, they had the parrot, and he squawked and muttered
and hollered thru the Bards' whole first set (I left at halftime) and
then didn't shush him or anything. So embarassing & rude. A
thinks E has west nile virus, because he's been feeling bad
lately. I just kind of nodded and worried, but when I got home and
told Tom the symptoms E had told me, Tom goes "Diabetes". well,
DUH. Much worse than WNV, but not as interesting and dramatic. And
E's got the family history...so that's what it probably is. A
will have a fun time managing/mismanaging that for him. And probably
be all jealous because he has a disease that lets him inconvenience
people around mealtimes and she doesn't. Fricken wackjob.

Skate night was OK. The floor at Skate World isn't as good as
Playland's, and the skates (at least the ones they gave me) were
horrible, but the music was great and the DJ was excellent, and the
sound system was better than Playlands. Plus there wasn't as much of
a crowd. I thought I recognized Joey McCoy, Monica's friend, but
couldn't say for sure if it was or wasn't him...so I didn't say
anything. I suck. All the little dyke girls had cute short haircuts.
Mine felt long and scraggy by comparison--I need a TRIM! I may go do
    that this weekend.

Anyhoo...that was my evening. I managed to get up at 4:30 am and go
to bed around 10:45 and I am not too dead today. Go me! I will not
invite E&A to future Bards shows. If they show up, it can't be
helped, but I'm not going to remind 'em.

737August Budget

  • Jul. 25, 2002

    Paycheck: 1890.62

    Gotta pay:

    Utilities: ~300
    Gas: ~20
    Cell phone: ~50
Car lease + "out of state tax" fuckage: $499.07
    Capital one credit card: 100
    Magpies credit card: 100
    Peoples' Bank: 609.48
    =================================210.62
    Groceries: 100
    =================================110.62 (disposable income for Aug.)

    want:
    Skate Nite: 4xtuesday, 1x rainbow skate $30
    Vitamins: $60
    ==================================20.62
Fiesta TX fun: $20 (all I can afford)
    =======================.62 (eom balance)

Compromise: Pay half People's bank balance in Aug, charge NOTHING in
Aug, and pay other half in Sept. Which will give a little more leeway
in spending. Not a good compromise, but will probably lead to less
credit card abuse in the long run. Will need to put some $ aside for
    Cozumel/New Orleans in Sept.

Hanging out with her and being her 'friend' or 'on good terms' with
her is just not feeling like it's worth it.

      -----------------------
Ok, get this: SIL has a job offer with Lockheed that starts Monday.
Supposedly in Southern California. She will not take it unless they
agree to fly her home for the weekend every few weeks, at their
      expense.

Not to mention, how financially sound is it to take a job halfway
across the country when most of your new salary will be taken up with
housing costs? (ie: none of her income will be contributing to E's
well-being,or that of her animals, he'll still be footing the bill
      for all that. Jeezus)

THEN, she has an interview today at 3 (it's about 1:40 when she's
telling me this via ICQ, BTW) She hasn't washed, dressed, done her
hair & make up, nothing. She is printing out her resume, references,
and directions to the location and lo & behold, she's out of ink (All
E's fault, of course, because "there is no more black ink, and
E set the printer not even to warn me when my ink was low, when he
      installed it")...

HELLO? Maybe I am just AR, but when I have an interview, I have all
that shit done the night before, including a 'dry run' to the place
of the interview so I know where I'm going the next day and have some
idea of how long it takes to get there.

Stupid bint!!and it will be ALL E's fault when she is late for the
interview, bla bla. I think she was wanting me to be a witness
for 'why I couldn't even go to my interview and it's all E's
fault'...but I told her to get her ass in gear, get cleaned up, get
dressed, save the shit to disk, and go to Kinko's. Bedamned if that
woman's going to sit around on her ass and blame E for her lack of
      foresight &/or problem-solving skills.

Forgot, I have to update my passport. $55 or so. So that reduces my
gas and misc. money to about $30. Tight month.

feh. I hate worrying about money.
