Nice massage on Saturday; she kept it above the belt. Soft lights (a
little too dark for my tastes), nice non-smelly massage oil, soft
music. The massage was timed by a dimmer on the light, so there
wasn't an alarm or anything. That was nice.
I went ahead and made our reservations & paid for 'em. Jen is getting
the signature facial and a manicure. I'm getting a manicure, then the
European facial, and another 25 minute swedish massage. It works out
to the same amount of time for both of us.
Cleaned house a little bit. Not much, not enough. But some. Cleaned
out my change bottle & my little safe-box and rolled coins. $27.50.
Ran out of penny rolls, so I'll have to get some more. I had lotsa
pennies.
Did some laundry, did some ironing. Got the guest room tidied up a
bit. Asked Tom about putting a terminal in the guest room, since
there's already ethernet run into there and all. May as well finish
the project he started a year or so ago!
Went to the craft shows on S. First on Sunday- 3 of Cups and Bouldin
Creek Coffeehouse. The Bouldin Creek Coffeehouse show was by far the
more pathetic of the two, but both were pretty sad. My booth would
dwarf the booths of the other people....well, booths is a nice word
for a table with some hippie crap on it. Nobody had a really
professional set up. But neither place had much room, or any parking,
so I guess setting up a 10 x 12 booth would be too overpowering for
such a little space. 3 of Cups itself was pretty nice. The 'elegant
witch' stuff was nice. I saw a poison ring that I really liked-it had
a small garnet & an amber cabochon on the top. Nice. $38. Not bad.
Saw a couple of house & warehouse setups for sale or lease, One was
pretty nice, the other (the one for sale) was pretty ratty. One of
those 'buy and destroy' kind of situations, where you'd be basically
buying the lot to build what you wanted on it.
Did a little shopping on Saturday before my appt, some stuff at
MacFrugals (no Valentine stuff I couldn't live without), a shower
massager thing at Tuesday morning and some Vetiver linen spray for
$4.99. They had same or similar at World market for $11. When I
ironed my linen clothes on Sunday, I used it. Smelled nice & lemony.
Tom and I rented "Pleasantville" because we didn't want to watch the
stupid Super Bowl. That Hollywood Video still sucks. It's cleaner
now,but things are still not really in very good alphabetical order,
and the clerks don't give a damn. We stood at the checkout for the
longest time before the stupid boy came over and checked us out. Tom
was almost ready to put the thing back and leave. Annoying. I wish
there was another video rental place nearby. "Pleasantville" was
good, though. Then we watched "Super Malcolm" which was pretty
funny. Susan Sarandon looked great.
*sigh* Nothing really much. The weekend went by too darn fast. Don't
feel like I got much done. I hate coming home and working, but it
looks like that's what is going to have to happen in order to have
the house in order by Jen's visit.
