    Taurus

    Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
Don't be surprised if tempers start to rise today, dear Taurus, as
strong wills and fixed opinions begin to clash dramatically. It could
be that there is an element of fantasy that is playing into the
equation, making it difficult for the truth of the matter to come
through. Hold firm to your inner beliefs while allowing others to do
the same. It is important for you not to judge other people's
    opinions at this time.

    Gemini

    Horoscope (by astrocenter.com)
Don't let your mind get caught up in things that are superficial and
petty, dear Gemini. Life is too short to dwell on matters that don't
have any major bearing on reality. Plant your feet deep into the
earth today in order to maintain a solid grounding in your beliefs.
Your will may be tested in one way or another, so be prepared for
this challenge. You can certainly meet it.
    ===================================

The sweet little black kitty from next door got hit by a car and
killed last night. I saw her little body in the street on my way to
the bus stop...so sad. *sigh* I called the city to ask someone to
come collect the body. Hopefully before the kids who live in that
house have to see thier poor little kitty.

    ====================================
13 days until Jen gets here. I need to majorly clean house. I can do
a major cleaning job this weekend, and then just keep touching it up
    until she's here.

We are going spa-ing when she's here: facials & manicures.

I am going to the place we're thinking of going, to make sure its
nice. I scheduled a 25 minute massage. $40!!! But I think it will be
good to get an idea of where the place is, and what their facilities
& technicians are like. Make sure it isn't dirty or smelly, all that.

*grin* This is gonna be goofy.

285 Andrew's wedding

  • Feb. 1, 2002

Jen sent me email wondering where our invites to Andrew & Amber's
wedding are? They were supposed to go out in January. I wasn't
    expecting one. Ah well.

Here's what Jen said, for if we are invited, and if we do go:
    =============================================================
If we do get invited and decide to go, I am still down
with the Silk Pyjamas outfit. Pith helmets are
totally reasonable, we both have docs - the only
investment would be some totally luxurious silky PJs.

I am torn between a sex kitten type look and something
    more tailored, like Heff.

286 Lee

Went to the Credit Union to get some $ for the weekend, bus &
skating $ for the month, etc. Ran into Lee in the hall. He is
working 2 jobs now, one as a waiter. He didn't say where. I wish he
had, we could have gone there :)

Anyhoo....he was talking about his friends and how cool the new club
that took over when the Atomic Cafe closed is, how he's going to big
Carnival parties next weekend, etc. He is all into being 'decadent'
and 'goth' and dressing up and freaking the mundanes...

what ever. I like him and I really liked Susan, but I am just not
into freaking anybody anymore. I still like people watching,so I may
go check out what they've done with the old Atomic. Maybe it's
called "Elysium" now..? Anyway...Max and I were pretty disgusted with
Atomic Cafe's 'bondage nite'. All the frat boys they dragged up there
were disobedient and the dommes did nothing to stop them from
grinning and wiggling and acting stupid. Max says that if they were
real Dommes the audience would have been scared to volunteer.

*sigh* Anyway...dangerous territory. I could get way too caught up in
    that life.

It was nice running into Lee again. Seems that since we work in teh
same building &all, I should see him more often. I guess I've been
avoiding the cafeteria (not that I go there that often) because of
the bus trip fiasco & how ashamed I am of that failure. But Lee had a
great time, so I don't know why I'm avoiding him

    OH! Dreamed last night:

I occasionally have a sort of Vegas-feeling dream, where I'm
someplace and it's NOT at all like las Vegas, but for some reason
it 'feels' like it. Like video games that pay you if you win and
stuff. Anyway....this one was about Bob and some family reunion, and
I needed to get back to work, so I was driving the family reunion
bus, and then realized that I'd have no place to park it, so I went
back and asked my Mom to give me a ride back to the office.

I wonder what that meant? Probably something about knowing when to
ask for help, or having something (bus/idea) that is too big to take
to work (needing a job that will let me use my ideas & personality &
creativity)? Vance family reunion??? dunno. Other than the fact that
other than Bob they're all prettty unattractive people. Or maybe me
taking their bus was me taking something? from a family? group? that
didn't belong to me and was too big for me to use anyway. ?

287 My Bud K order

2 lighters with compasses (figured this would be cool at camping
events this year). One compass does not work at all. One works sorta
    kinda. ish.

Surprise package worth at least $25!!!

3 orange and black paintballs with orange paint inside. 2 intact.

2 3" "Jaguar" folding, locking, pocket knives with metal clip for
attachment to belt or boots. Both in boxes. One box intact. One
    paintball-oozed

1 novelty key ring, no box. looks like a gun, but has a less-than-1"
knife blade inside! Blade does lock, you unlock by 'cocking' the gun.
    Covered in orange paintball excretia.

1 novelty key ring, no box. looks like some kind of viney thing with
a skeleton and a couple of naked dancing people, also with small
    knife blade. Not locking.

1 folding metallic gold knife locking blade with metal clip, box
ruined by orange paintball goo. Blade about 4" long.

1 boot knife, package slightly dotted with orange paintball stuff,
reads "9" wooden handle and brass bolsters. Stainless Steel Blade
with genuine leather sheath. Not bad. paper-wrapped knife and sheath
inside plastic baggie in box, undamaged.

And finally, 1 "Folding knife show on display stand" with "stainless
steel blade". Box appears untouched by paintball sludge, if slightly
overstuffed. Blade has picture of motorcycle. Possibly suitable for
    gift-giving.

    I think surprises are overrated.
