Someone keeps posting paeans to Essure on the brat page, so I figured
I'd give the other side of the coin & I'm being bashed as a troll,
fundie breeder catholic in disguise, bla bla bla. It's really fucking
irritating. So I signed up for posting access on the discussion
boards and I am not being allowed to do so, even though my login is
    apparently 'taking'.

    Ugh.

I am tired of being bashed as a troll on the bratpage because I told
the truth about my experience with the Essure procedure. It wasn't a
fookin' picnic, it was nasty icky people knocking me out & poking
around in my private sanctuary of goodies. And then the follow up was
more icky nasty people poking around in my treasure trove.

Granted, being pregnant involves a lot more of that sort of thing, a
lot more often, and the addition of complete strangers putting hands
on ones body and asking embarassing personal questions....but still.
Neither is a thing I would particularly enjoy.

I go to my annual and I put up with the violation, because it's
necessary for my health. I got essure & an ablation for the same
reasons. I would rather be alive and healthy with a little bruised
dignity and squickyness than dead and unviolated.

I must have distressed her yesterday somehow. Very much withdrawn
today. Or maybe she's just over the SCA drama now. ?

    evile: hi :)
    SkyeDS: hola :)
    evile: busy day?
    SkyeDS: fairly so, yours?
evile: I typed that hi at, like, noon, and I was all like "why isn't
she writing back?" and then realized a second ago that I never
    hit 'send'. BUH!
    SkyeDS: rofl
evile: *shakes head* One of those kinda days, ya know?
SkyeDS: am very looking forward to the weekend
SkyeDS: getting the weekend over with
SkyeDS: getting CRW weekend over with
SkyeDS: and not doing a DAMN thing until mid September
evile: I bet you'll have at least a tiny bit of fun.
    SkyeDS: (except hopefully swimming)
SkyeDS: oh I love events. it's the driving and the heat I want over
    with.
evile: Let's play hookie sometime in August & go to Schlitterbahn. :)
    SkyeDS: I want to!
    evile: or Fiesta Tx.
SkyeDS: it's cheaper after labor day isn't it?
evile: their waterpark area is pretty good/
evile: Oh, I dunno. I have tix I can get at work for cheap that are
    good any time.
    SkyeDS: connections are always good
evile: I think after labor day the hours are not as long.
SkyeDS: I am just so looking forward to having my weekends free all
through August and halfway through September
SkyeDS: so I can go to the bahn, go to the pool, go wherever
    evile: yeah, that'll be nice.
SkyeDS: the shire is talking about having a party on August 21st
(which I assume is a weekend)
SkyeDS: could we go around that?
SkyeDS: they haven't actually even confirmed that date yet, either.
evile: 'around' in what way ?
SkyeDS: around would probably have to be, not on that Saturday at
all, since Rockdale and San Antonio/New Braunfels are a good distance
    apart
SkyeDS: however, they haven't even put that date in stone yet
SkyeDS: and that's just the one saturday
evile: I like to play hookie go to stuff on weekdays, not so crowded.
    SkyeDS: that works too!
SkyeDS: Hugh is already accustomed to me working longer days to make
up for the Fridays I miss when we're eventing
evile: Maybe play hookie on Friday, go to the 'bahn, stay someplace
cheap down thattaway, go to whatever on Saturday.
SkyeDS: I work 10 days first half of August, 12 days second half
    evile: *nods*
SkyeDS: so easier probably to play hookie second half
    SkyeDS: but not necessary
evile: Well, it's a long time from now. Get through with all your
    stressy busy stuff & we'll re-evaluate beginning of August-ish.
SkyeDS: I didn't swim at all last summer
SkyeDS: I have a swimmin pool 6 miles from the house.
evile: It happens. I didn't swim much last year, and not doing much
this year, either...but I do think I'll be at the poly tubing thing
in San Marcos on Sunday. Maybe wrangle a side trip to Rivendell's in
    there somewhere... :P
    SkyeDS: qu'est-ce que c'est Rivendell's?
evile: It's a Tolkein-themed restaurant in San Marcos. It might be
closed fo the summer, it seems to be primarily student-oriented, was
    closed over spring break.
    SkyeDS: cool!
evile: Need to research if they're even going to be open, I suppose.
evile: The internet is too scary...I can't find an actual website for
the restaurant. I did find a phone #, so I'll just call. BUT, I found
photos of some guy's bday party at the
    restaurant. ..http://groups.msn.com/RingsOnTheRange/bilbosbirthday2003
    .msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=153
SkyeDS: I miss the Time Machine, I only went there once before it
    closed
SkyeDS: would like to have a Medieval Times restaurant here too
evile: There's still a Magic Time Machine in S.A.
evile: I don't know where the nearest Medieval Times is...probably
Dallas? There used to be one in Austin but it folded pretty quick.
SkyeDS: I thought there was :-/
evile: It is where the Baby A's near St. John's is now.
SkyeDS: I like the Baby A's up on Howard
evile: It's interesting-looking. but I dont' like Baby A's food at
    all.
SkyeDS: I only eat a very few things on the menu that I know are safe
evile: Their alcohol is pretty decent, but they make you order food
because their drinks are so strong (Everclear enhanced!)
evile: I don't get why mediocre Tex Mex seems to flourish unchecked
while unique stuff like Time Machine & Medieval Times died in this
    town.
    SkyeDS: :(
evile: Excalibur hotel/casino apparently has a Medieval Times type
dinner but that place is so overrun with hyper children, I wouldn't
    risk it.
evile: Is it sick/sad that I'm already looking forward to Dinner on
Dec. 24? Main St. Station has the best seafood buffet on Friday
    nights.
    SkyeDS: I don't think so
evile: J-Law will probably not be the vegas buffet freak that I am, but
I'm sure she'll let me pick our dinner place at least once during the
weekend. So that'll be mine :) Then we can do snooty upscale Real
Restaurants for the rest of the trip.
SkyeDS: snooty upscale isn't special if you do it all the time
evile: 2 days at Xmas in The Adult Playground of America...not
    quite 'all the time'.
evile: J-Law has fabulous taste, so whatever she picks will be
    outstanding, I'm sure.
    SkyeDS: nods
SkyeDS: didn't realize trip was two days
evile: Maybe we'll try the Red Room this time out. I've always wanted
to. caviar and vodka while sitting in ice sculpted chairs wrapped in
    fur.
SkyeDS: thought you were talking about like a week of it
evile: no. I only get the 24th off work.
evile: I get burned out on Vegas pretty quick. 4 days just about
drove me insane the one time I was there that long. 2-3 days is better
SkyeDS: I should have gone right after I stopped dealing BJ
evile: oops, it's called Red Square. Not Red room. oh well.
    evile: http://www.vegas.com/nightlife/bars/redsquare.html
SkyeDS: speaking of which, I should nuke my measly meal now
    evile: have fun :)
evile: OMG, I want chocolate now. J sends me the most *evil*
    tempting websites:
    http://www.recchiuticonfections.com
SkyeDS: chocolate is an always thing with me
evile: depends on the chocolate. I can usually say no to regular
grocery store chocolate. But godiva or ghiradelli...bring it on!
evile: Great. Now I"m hungry *and* wanderlusty. feh. Oh well...
    SkyeDS: lol
SkyeDS: I will make note of all my cravings and ask Mom to supply
    them while I 'm there :P
evile: Life is just too fuckin' short to sit 9 hours a day in this
    craphole.
evile: when there's chocolate and las vegas and the beach and the
bahn and six flags and bull creek and hamilton pool and hippie hollow
ALL OUT THERE RIGHT NOW!! Dammit.
    SkyeDS: ROFL
evile: I have lots of leave time but not much $. Maybe next month
that'll even out & I can burn some of this leave time on fun stuff.
SkyeDS: hehe no money, no leave time
    evile: *nods*
evile: I found someone to carpool with on Sunday :) Now I can
    drink. :P
SkyeDS: adult beverages are good :)
evile: too bad there's no good way to take my sangria on the river :P
evile: As with the 'neverending summer fruit salad' that just gets
stuff added as we go, I refilled the Sangria pitcher on Monday with
some nasty port and some less-than $4 Chardonnay & reduced sugar OJ
to top it off. Yummmm. I didn't think it could get any better, I was
    wrong.
    SkyeDS: :)
evile: good stuff. the best summer drink ever.
SkyeDS: bout time for you to go, and I need to do some stuff on his
    puter before he gets back
    SkyeDS: <hugs you now
SkyeDS: wind to your wings, see you tomorrow :)
    evile: *hugs* take care :)
