- Mar. 25, 2002Excalibur: Made $74 or something like that on Saturday, and $36.50 on
sunday.
Natural Magic: $124 on Sunday. About half what I usually make at
their event, but very good, anyway.
Much better 'energy' at NM, nicer people, nicer neighbors as vendors.
They'll be at Scarborough--gorgeous painted silks.
It was a fun day. Elena and Fred came by and helped me take stuff
down at the end of the day--it goes very quickly when there is
someone to help.
I am tired today, but not too bad. I'll go to bed early, right after
I get done with my class tonite.
I got smacked with an EZ up yesterday--the fire twirler's eZ up got
away from her in the high wind and hit me and my car. The car is
scratched on the right back door. But no windows were broken, and one
of the poles that hit my wrist didn't break my wrist....it was a very
wierd thing to have happen. But I am glad my car took the damage and
not my body :) I called my insurance agent this a.m. to see what
should be done.
Everything that came back from Excalibur was very dusty. I'm sure Liz
was not excited about being so gritty & nasty. Poor thing. She did
pretty well, saleswise, for a Sunday at Excalibur.
There was a vendor meeting sun. a.m. where they passed out the
contracts for next year. No popups next year, they say. They want us
all in Panther Primitives or similar. Those are expensive tents. And
totally not worth it, considering that I just broke even this
weekend. Finally made my booth fee back! So...Excalibur was a
learning experience but I will not be doing it again. Not to mention
that I don't ever want to see Diana, Mike, Annette, and Annette's kid
EVER again,or listen to them bitching at each other. Elena says no
wonder they haven't sold anything, and that they've probably poisoned
my atmosphere too.
I really don't like Excalibur's 'vibe'.
