chemises. It was 8 weeks yesterday since I placed my order with
Victoria's Castle Closet. So yesterday I sent a quickie follow up
email. I will say that she was on top of things as far as writing
back. She got back to me the same day. BUT here's the shit part: She
got the 'wrong' fabric--it was the correct material but it was dyed
lilac instead of white/undyed. So she sent it back and is waiting for
the right fabric. Part of me wants to call 'bullshit' on that story.
But part of me believes it and wishes the hell that Victoria had
emailed me when the wrong color came in and asked what _I_, her
customer, wanted done. Do you want your chemises on time and in a
lilac that you'll have to dye over (and you said were gonna dye them
anyway), or do you want your chemises 4 months after you ordered
them, long after they would have been useful as faire wear. After
this weekend there won't be any more faire. I am trying to talk
myself into going to Scarborough once, at least, but I am also
fighting with myself to GET MY DAMN CREDIT CARDS DOWN TO ZERO!!!

And then there's the roof. I need to get at least one more estimate
on the repairs to our flashing/roof problem. I am not at all
impressed with the lack of follow-up by Jonathan & his little co. But
if they offer the best price, I may have to go with 'em. It's not
something to let sit for any length of time.

So...that's life today. No biggies.
