SkyeDS: am writing Letters of Intent so the boys can compete at Bryn
Gwlad (and I decided to be cute about it).

baronial silver championship event and the King's Lancer championship
event in the upcoming month of October.

SkyeDS: that ought to make the f'ing brasshats happy
SkyeDS: nobody else requires this for their events
evile: heh.
evile: I suppose if I was trying to organize contests for a big grup
of people,I'd probably want to know how many contestants I had ahead
of time...doesn't seem that unreasonable to me.
SkyeDS: right
SkyeDS: but to require formal letters of intent?
SkyeDS: rather than just rsvp?
evile: *shrug* maybe that's more "period".
SkyeDS: emailed LOI aren't period, but oh well.
SkyeDS: BG annoys everybody all of t he time
evile: heh. imagine that.
SkyeDS: first of all they're making their Baronial a competition that
requires special authorization
SkyeDS: and then they want the mounted crests to be wooden or paper
mache
SkyeDS: the problem with t hat is, wood isn't safe, if the lanyard
breaks and it flies off (neither for horse nor rider)
SkyeDS: and paper mache won't last through several beatings
SkyeDS: and most people aren't going to appreciate that they h ave to
make a crest specific to this one event rather than use the crests
they've already made.
evile: that's no good.
SkyeDS: the authorizations are no problem, we got them this last
weekend. but it would be a problem if KEO weren't best friend.
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: KEO is loaning us rapier masks that already have crests
velcro'd/magneted to them
SkyeDS: but crests = stuffed animals, a nd BG said no stuffed animals.
SkyeDS: so KEO is going to have a word with them about that
SkyeDS: I asked her please not to mention my name
SkyeDS: as all I did was repeat what I saw on their website, that she
hadn't seen yet
evile: hm. good plan.
SkyeDS: Bridget is going to destroy all the growth we've had in
Equestrian.
evile: hope not.
evile: Sharjinka/Jinx will be at skate night tonight after 7:30, so I guess
that means i'll go too.
SkyeDS: :)
evile: I havent' been in...months. I can't even think of the last
time I went.
evile: Julie (lil lamb) is going to be at the BG event Halloween
weekend.
SkyeDS: I'm still trying to decide if we're going to trick or treat
in Austin or Rockdale
SkyeDS: Randy is taking his kids out just around his neighborhood,
but last night I was reminded of why I enjoy Randy's company and not
the women of the Shire
SkyeDS: it rained so we were inside rather than in the park. As long
as it was the Men, and me, in Randy's workshop, everything was good.

SkyeDS: the minute we went back in the house where the women were,
Karen and Tracy (a sychophant) did nothing but criticize people who
weren't present the entire night, and roll eyes whenever sonar0m (or
myself) said anything.
evile: bizarre.
SkyeDS: I have told sonar0m a number of times now, look, I know it's
hard to bite your tongue, because I don't enjoy having to sit there
and bite mine all night, but he's got to improve at it.
evile: it is hard sometimes.
SkyeDS: as for Tracy and the eyerolling, I'd give anything to roll
her eyes on the floor the next time she rolls them at me or mine (but
I'm not gonna, because her man Walt is a teddy bear)
evile: too bad.
evile: hopefully it'll get better once they realize they're not going
to get the response they want. Maybe they'll give up.
SkyeDS: Tracy rolls her eyes at sineater too
SkyeDS: and he's usually not socially offensive, at least not in the
shire
evile: nice lady.
SkyeDS: too bad /ignore isn't as easy in RL
SkyeDS: need to run off to the courthouse and will probably grab
lunch while I"m out
SkyeDS: HUGS if you're gone by the time I get back

the bus this am.

SkyeDS: I want rain today, tomorrow and then for it to stop
evile: that would be nice.
evile: I'd be interested in attending an SCA thing one of these days,
just to get a look at all these eye-rollin' bitches.
SkyeDS: I wonder if Julie's Bitch from Hell is SCA
evile: no, it's a lady she works with.
SkyeDS: yuck
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I suspect they'd be on good behavior in front of "company"
evile: maybe.
evile: but at least I'd have names & faces together in my head. feel
less clueless when you talk about people.
SkyeDS: <always clueless when reading Friends lists hehe
evile: heh.
evile: It took me a while to get names/faces/LJnames all sussed, but
I"m pretty good now.
