Why do people who claim narcissism is the world’s problems are a bunch of children who don't know that they’re giving the narcissist there much wanted attention?

This post appears to be a generalized negative comment or an attack against victims of narcissistic abuse disguised with a ‘why’ at the beginning to make it look like it is a question. It is badly phrased and unclear as to what the question actually is, with possible misspelling or grammatical errors to further confuse matters. This post just seems to be name-calling and negativity.

If you are not happy with the content you are finding for free on Quora, I suggest you explore your local library or bookstore to find works by mental health professionals— professional authors, therapists & psychologists, etc. that may be more helpful to you.

Is it a good idea to prosecute a malignant narcissist that has violated a protective order, or is it better to continue with zero contact/zero response? If it is not clear: prosecution IS a response to the malignant narcissist.

*disclaimer: I am not a lawyer. If you need to take legal action against a narcissistic abuser, you may need to find a lawyer who specializes in 'high conflict' cases*

There have to be consequences or they will keep on violating your boundaries. The consequences in this case will come from law enforcment, not from you. If the narcissist reaches out to you to tell you what an awful person you are because there’s a deputy standing on their doorstep, either don’t answer or if you absolutely must speak to them, ‘broken record’ them with the facts of the matter.

You: “Narcy, a protective order was signed by Judge [name] on XYZ date instructing you to [stay off of my property/stay away from my workplace/etc] You chose to violate the protective order and now you are facing legal action due to your own behavior”

Narc: “but why did you send the police to get me?”*fuss fuss, cry cry*

You: “Narcy, you chose to violate the protective order and legal action has been taken as a result,”

Narc: “But the police scared my puppy and it’s all your fault!”

You: “Narcy, you were informed of the protective order on XYZ date. You chose to violate the protective order. The police came because of you.”

Narc: “But I love you, I would never hurt you, you know we just have these little disagreements from time to time, why did you take out a restraining order against me? You are so mean! You are just trying to destroy my life, for no reason!”

You: “Narcy, based on your threats and behavior, I filed a protective order. The judge agreed that your threats were credible and your behavior was threatening. The judge issued a protective order based on your threats and behavior. You violated the order. The police are enforcing the order, based on your [describe violation] after you were served with an order instructing you not to do so.”

Lather, rinse, repeat, for as long as you care to continue to pound your head against that particular brick wall. As long as you stay calm and keep to the facts, you are golden. If you let the narc sidetrack into irrelevant stuff or get you to a state of frustration or anger, then the narc wins. Best to disengage, not reply, not answer, not respond, and let the law do its job.

Document threats and violations of the court’s orders, press charges if law enforcement offers you that option, and allow the narc to receive consequences.
