No, no, for goodness sake! NO! Narcissists are human beings who have a mental disorder. They are mentally damaged people. There is absolutely nothing supernatural or otherworldly about them. They are damaged human beings.
What you may be observing is a moment of ‘Dissociation'
’ in which the damaged person separates from reality for a moment. This can happen at times of extreme emotional stress, even or especially stress brought about by the narcissist’s own screaming and crying and fussing. They ‘rage out’ and part of their consciousness ‘goes away’ while a more primitive part of them takes over the mouth-parts and facial expressions, leading them to look unfamiliar as this primitive toddler self melts down, screams, and rages with the aid of adult vocabulary words & intellect.
Once the stressful rage-out has passed, the narc may not remember everything s/he did or said during the episode of dissociation, or they may just gaslight you when you confront them about the terrible things they did and said to you, trying to make you feel like you are the crazy one, or you are ‘too sensitive’ for taking their angry words to heart like that.
Once again: Narcissists are not ‘demons’ and there is no such thing as ‘demonic possession’…nor are there witches or werewolves or shape shifters or goblins. The use of these terms to describe monstrous behavior on the part of other human beings is just part of how humans tell stories and make myths in order to try and explain mysterious forces of nature or unexplainable turns of events. Yes, it is hard to believe that an ordinary person could be so cruel, or evil, or uncaring as a narcissist, but in the end they live, age, and die just like any other human being.
