I mistyped 23. hee. Yeah, I wish.
anyway....I'm 32 now. Kind of in a holding pattern. But...I've made
some progress from around this time last yr. this journal talks about
being a hermit and not getting out, not meeting people. Since then
I've joined No Kidding, joined PACT and CMA, and hung out with the
Polys. July last yr I was talking about getting paralegal cert. This
year I am taking my first class.
No real progress on intimate friendships. The only one I really have
is Jen, and she's far away. Nobody here in Austin or TX that I can
call and say "hey, let's go do bla bla" at the spur o the moment.
But that's OK, too. Seems like I have enough to do, and I feel like
my life is pretty interesting.
Still don't care for my job, but it's not killing me.
Want/need a part time job and haven't done anything in that
direction. But hopefully I will soon.

Bday:
At work: Meleah and Louise both gave me presents. Louise also gave me
a cute card. Louise-vitamin c lollipops and Meleah-3 flavored coffees
in little packages all ready to brew. Josie sent me email. Blanche
sent me email. Janice told me happy bday and asked about my plans.
Home: UPS package waiting at the door: Dean & Deluca "cozy breakfast"
from Jen (
http://www.deandeluca.com/cgi- bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/store/framescat.d2w/report?
psearch=breakfast). Very yummy looking. I can't wait until Saturday.
I think I should buy a waffle iron to make waffles with the mix in
the gift package. Did my yoga/pilates DVD, Festive called in the
middle of it to say hi. He claims he thought my bday was in October,
but I think he knows it's May 20 & just doesn't want to bother with a
card/gift. Which is fine. BUT...he has sent me Bday cards in October
before. So who knows. He's silly. We talked about Memorial Day
weekend. He's taking Friday off, too. He's going to Victoria on
Friday, then on to Nuevo Laredo on Saturday, then back to Houston on
Sunday. He just couldn't stand the thought of having nothing to do
for an entire long weekend. He's too funny. David has some churchy
thing that starts Sunday, so Festive will be traveling solo. wow.
he's so brave & cool.
Evening: Mongolian BBQ with Lynn, Bob, Alex, Patrick, Sonya, Tom.
Then back to L&B's for cake & ice cream. Pat & Sonya didn't join us
for that part. Just dinner. But it was nice. Alex talked about
working on the movie on Saturday with Eric. Nice that they got to
hang out without the bird or the wife. We took Alex to work and I
looked at Star Wars stuff. The Ken-sized Anakin is cute, and I love
Lego-Yoda. But I didn't buy either of them.
Elena sent me an e-card. Greg sent me one yesterday & told me what
amazon.com wishlist items he'd gotten for me. Daddy sent me email &
emailed photos of his 'shack' in progress.
Pretty laid-back and low-key. I'm old now, I don't need excitement ;)
