Me to J-Law:


Oh, speaking of 'gals', [Skye_ds] hasn't gotten back to
me about Sunday...last night at dinner [Sineater] mentioned
her saying something like "waiting to hear from evilE
what the plan is" or some crap. Is this girl just
socially retarded, or deliberately fucking shit up so
we can have another 'silence-a-thon'?

She wrote me like 2 weeks ago and said "Hey, want to
hang out some Sunday?" and I said "Sure, the 21st
might be iffy, but the 28th would be great" then she
wrote back and said "28th is better for me, too" so
then I said something like "So, do you want to meet
somewhere for lunch at a certain time on Sunday the
28th, or do you want to come by my house just whenever
you get into town?" No reply.

Then I read in the paper that the Pecan St. festival
is this weekend, so I sent her the internet link for
that and said "another possibility for Sunday?" Again,
no response.

I feel very...wierd...about this. Was I supposed to
make all the plans & say "Be X place at Y time!" or
was I supposed to offer to drive to Rockdale and pick
her up, or meet somewhere halfway or WHAT? And, of
course, there's the little suspicious corner of my
mind that is saying "of course it's going to go tits
up and somehow end up being all your fault, because it
always does and it always is. stupid!"

I really don't want to call, because then I'll end up
listening to boring old stories about her HS and
College glory days and/or her "My Mom is an evil
bitch" stories for like 5 hours. I just dont' have
that kind of time to part with...

Oh well, in the grand scheme of things, it's not that
important. I got to see [Sineater] last night & we had a
nice visit. That's the important part :)

What the fuck is [Skye_ds]'s deal? She sounds just like Howard - has a
game plan, expectations, whatever, but damned if they'll tell you
what it is so that, you know, the thing will actually work out.

Me to J-Law:

What do you think is wrong with these self-proclaimed 'legal brains'
that they eschew normal communication and end up getting from point A
to point B by some convoluted and secretive trip through points W, T,
and F?

*sigh* Oh well. I don't think I'm deluded in my impression that the
ball's in her court and the next step is up to her. And since I got
that across to [Sineater], hopefully without making him feel like he was in
the middle of a conflict AND emailed [Skye_ds] to that effect this a.m.
in a very polite way, I think my bases are covered. I could care less
if she's pissed at me, as long as she isn't siccing [Sineater] on me or
making him angry with me.

It's possible that I'll see her Saturday nite at a housewarming party
of one of the HFS people. So I guess I can try and keep her off
the 'old boring stories that illuminate how cute & clever I am' track
long enough to formulate a plan for Sunday. Or not. I am just about
out of $ for the month, anyway, so I probably shouldn't go anywhere
or do anything, anyhow.

Howard is a fuckwit. I can't believe he didn't keep you in the loop
at all, for what was a MAJOR change in game plan. Jerk.
