I overslept. My brain punished me by having a dream about going on
vacation w/Sweetie. We were staying in this little cabin, and it was
trashed up one side and down the other with all of Sweetie's crap. We
needed to leave the next day and I mentioned to Sweetie that he needed to
get all his junk packed up and cleaned, and we had some sort of fight.

Woke up at 7:30 when the recycling collectors rolled by. Sweetie hopped
out of bed & did the usual 'oh shit, it's garbage day and I didn't
put out the garbage' thing. He also asked me if I was staying home
today. "No, just overslept". I asked him if I could beg a ride to
work, he dithered & hemmed & hawwed, said stuff about not knowing if
he would have enough time, bla bla, and finally I saved him from
actually having to say 'no'. Then he got his comforter & pillow and
went to sleep on the couch. Fascinating, captain. The earth specimen
has enough time to sleep but not enough time to take its mate to its
place of employment.

I'd leave him, but my own personal bugaboos would lead me to someone
just as bad, if not worse. So why bother?

I have as my examples: Mom, who left my dad and ended up settling for
that slug G [ex stepdad]. Danicia, who quit her job and divorced Crash and moved
halfway across the country, only to end up with a guy who looks just
like Crash, acts just like Crash (only it's games taking his time
away from Danicia & the house instead of music, and [her new guy]'s mother is
still alive & was a great pain in Danicia's butt while she stayed with
them), and has a dead end job that is worse than Dell in some ways
(temp, no bennies), but much the same in others.

It can't get any better, and it could be much worse. Not a great
philosophy of Love, but there it is.
