SkyeDS: hey
evile: How's your day going?
SkyeDS: it goes, how's yours?
evile: OK. Busier planning the rest of Oct. than working but still
getting work done.
SkyeDS: nods. I hear that.
evile: Elena's driving me crazy. She and her guy broke up and she's
now re-connecting with all her other friends. aaa.
SkyeDS: neglect your friends and they go away
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: I wouldn't like being a friend only when someone hasn't got
an SO
evile: it's not quite that black/white, cut & dried, but yeah...
evile: I enjoy spending time with her, but I'm not so fond of the
complicated logistics required to get to the actual point of hanging
out together.
SkyeDS: high maintenance
evile: yup
evile: I think argonarcher really hit on something when he observed that
it seems to be more important to her to get committments from others
than to keep committments herself.
SkyeDS: probably
evile: Oh well. She reacted well to me telling her that I'm not
getting another yoga class pass once this one runs out.
SkyeDS: that's good :)
evile: yeah. I figure as long as she understands that her flakiness
does have consequences, that I'm not going to be there 100% when I'm
not getting that kind of energy from her, I think we're OK.
SkyeDS: that works
evile: hope so. I'm constantly finding that pesky 'doormat' sign
stuck to my head agian while I wasn't looking, so I'm trying harder
to be better about that.
SkyeDS: would like to know where some of t hose signs are myself,
most of the time
evile: ther's a 4 week class at the Human Potential center that I
want to take re: assertiveness, etc. I'm waiting to hear back from
Bob M. on when it starts/ends.
SkyeDS: good idea
SkyeDS: Rockdale Workforce sucks
SkyeDS: Milam County is hiring a secretary for the judge, so I call
to ask them to fax me an application
SkyeDS: which they refuse to do, they insist that I come in and sit
down with them before they'll give me an application
SkyeDS: even though I'm already in their system through online
evile: that does suck!
SkyeDS: look, I work M-F, 40 hours a week
SkyeDS: "do you have any days off?"
SkyeDS: Saturday and Sunday, like most admins?
SkyeDS: "what about your lunch hour?"
SkyeDS: what part of I work in Austin are you not understanding here.
evile: that sucks. In my experience, they're really geared more to
working with people who are totally unemployed, not those of us who
have jobs and are looking for better ones.

SkyeDS: count me lucky that I can go in there and spend an hour and a
half before I normally drive to work
evile: *nod*
evile: Volt is having a hiring fair today--10 am - 3 pm. too bad, so
sad.
evile: Now THAT is a Gypsy skirt!!

evile: yeah, those are cool-looking.
SkyeDS: one more dress size and I won't be a plus size with shimmy
shimmy anymore

SkyeDS: I found an excellent quote page today, that always makes me
happy
evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: lol why *did* you take a "furry" quiz? lol
evile: the werewolf picture is pretty cool, and that's what the
result was for the person I stole it from...was relatively horrified
by the fox image I got.
SkyeDS: I got the werewolf and the griffin, so I went with the griffin
SkyeDS: you know me and having to give just one answer when more than
one applies (so I take quizzies more than once)
evile: I liked the words that went along with the quiz. I may change
or remove the image later, if I have the patience to go in and mess
with the code.
SkyeDS: glad I'm not the only one who occasionally tinkers with code
<sheepish grin>
evile: I'd rather have no picture, or a picture of an actual animal,
not wierd cartoons doing...something.
evile: well, I got here early today, so I'm leaving in 3 minutes.
