skye_dsDS: superlative :) how was yours (I've already read LJ this am)
evile: Glad to hear it. I saw some SCA folks at the Celtic Fest.
skye_dsDS: Shire of Fynnon Gath did a demo
skye_dsDS: I thought that our Shire would be joining them but everyone
was at Rose with us
evile: *nod*
skye_dsDS: and only one out of like half a dozen people from our shire
bothered to come speak to us, when usually they come over en masse
for a few minutes
evile: I had never been to Fiesta Gardens. It's a nice venue.
skye_dsDS: where is Fiesta Gardens?
evile: It's down by Town Lake, on the east side.
skye_dsDS: Randy has started regurgitating Karen bile
skye_dsDS: I'm not interested in hearing Karen bile, from Karen or
anyone else.
evile: That's too bad.
skye_dsDS: I sent out a very guarded feeler to the one friend who came
over to say hi
skye_dsDS: who responded with an equally guarded response
evile: *nod*
skye_dsDS: but I can tell we're on the same wavelength
skye_dsDS: and we're both trying to indicate that without giving each
other something to run back to Karen with (although I doubt she'd do
that and I suspect she knows I wouldn't either)
skye_dsDS: so my recent suspicions have been confirmed yet again from
another completely independent source

skye_dsDS: anyway, at one point it would have broken my heart to write
Randy off, but ya know what, oddly enough, I don't really care, not
right now anyway, t hat might change later
skye_dsDS: he wants to be his wife's meat puppet with her hand up his
ass, I got no time - people to do and places to see.

evile: Oh well. could be worse--I could be stuck here till 6, if I
hadn't had phone duty during lunch time.
evile: And tonight is Krav. I plan on beating [Cousin B] to within an inch
of his life....i'm just in that kind of mood.
skye_dsDS: ruh roh Raggy - poor [Cousin B]
skye_dsDS: I wish weather every weekend was like it was this past
weekend. I'd be happy just going from spring to fall and back again,
minus too hot summers and nasty half assed attempts at winter
evile: he's fuckin up, and he doesn't seem to give a shit. And when
I tried to talk to him about it, he delivered ultimatums in very [brother A]-
like tone & words...so beatings must suffice.
evile: I will hate to see him turn into a worthless spoiled little
prince goldensprog can do no wrong like Uncle Bubba and [brother A]...but he
says that's his business, and he doesn't want to hear shit from me
about it.
skye_dsDS: to quote Acadiana (valkyriie), "men are difficult and exotic
creatures" ~ my own addendum - too bad they can't be kept in the zoo
when they're being difficult, like the other exotic creatures.
skye_dsDS: this past weekend my parents took our family prince
goldensprog and his live in pocket pussy to nascar races in Dallas
skye_dsDS: we were not invited
evile: well...I"m just thinking what the fuck is my love and caring
good for, if I can't save the people I love from ruining themselves
and their lives...but his choice.
skye_dsDS: we wouldn't have gone, of course, but it would have been nice
if they'd made the offer
evile: they probably knw you had plans, and weren't interested in
fucking white trash car bullshit?
skye_dsDS: true dat, but it had more to do with them taking [brother]
skye_dsDS: but whatever
skye_dsDS: I'm not really materialistically stuck on inheritances and
shit
skye_dsDS: so I don't really care if he squanders his and mine too while
they're still alive
evile: I mean, that's why you post your LJ schedule,r ight? to
coordinate with 'rents? at least partially...so probably shouldnt
get [Cousin B]t out of shape when people see 'oh, you have plans already, so
I won't bother you with mine'
skye_dsDS: I'll just hide and watch, and liberate the few family
heirlooms that aren't already mine, and the Library
skye_dsDS: and he can have what little they haven't let him squander,
after they die
skye_dsDS: I thought LJ would be a good way to coordinate with them, but
I know Mom never looks
skye_dsDS: because she calls me every week and asks me
evile: oh well...at least the lines of communication are open in some
way...better than the alternative.
skye_dsDS: they created him to be a monster, they're enabling him to be
a monster, he's their problem, they chose it. Again, I have No Time
for it.
skye_dsDS: but then, you are genuinely attached to your brothers.
skye_dsDS: I can't remember exactly when I stopped being attached to
mine, but it was sometime before he hit puberty.
evile: I'm pretty much done with [brother A] for now...I'd still give him a
kidney if he needed it but I dont want anything to do with the day to
day drama.
evile: I'm stuck with [Cousin B] for Krav class at least thru March, whether
he pulls his head out of his ass or not.
evile: And sineater...well, I love him, but if he'd rather not talk to
me, I'll just have to be OK with that.
skye_dsDS: I suppose if we were being the goldensprog princess
recipients of the spoiling and someone tried to take that away from
us, we'd probably snap and snarl back too...Probably, I guess.
evile: I was not trying to take anything, per se, just point out that
it wasn't really good for him in the long run to have no
consequences, or, worse, positive rewards, for fucking up.
skye_dsDS: sineater is having endoscopy done on Wed, to see if he has GERD,
a hiatal hernia, or ulcers
evile: Poor babe.
skye_dsDS: if he has ulcers, he's got to change some of his ways
skye_dsDS: ulcers = stress, and well ya know...
evile: yup
evile: Sweetie had that done a while back. Nasty chalky radioactive crap
to drink. Makes your poop white. Very unpleasant.
skye_dsDS: they want him there at 5 am in the morning. they want me to
stay the entire 4 hours he's sedated, rather than dropping him off
and coming back to get him
skye_dsDS: Hugh says it will be ok whenever I get here, with him in tow.
evile: *nod* I'm sure [Aunt L] could be called upon to take care of him,
if you need.
skye_dsDS: thankee kindly, but it isn't a problem
skye_dsDS: I just find it interesting what the standard of care is from
doctor to doctor
skye_dsDS: but I think they might more heavily sedate him for this than
for the wrist surgery
skye_dsDS: although, if they put him all the way under, I really don't
understand why I'm there.
skye_dsDS: if they fuck up, what am I supposed to do about it?
skye_dsDS: besides kill them of course, which I will do, and which won't
help anything
evile: *nod*
evile: sineater doesn't like me right now, or I'd volunteer to take a
sick day to let him rest and recover at my house afterwards...
skye_dsDS: I think he's going to have to handle the long hairs that get
up his ass (likes, dislikes and such) a little differently,
particularly if we find that he has ulcers.
evile: They have good drugs for acid reflux an such these days.
evile: I'll keep him in my thoughts, and if he decides he'd rather
snooze in a bed than in your office, I'm here. ANd I'm sure [Aunt L] is,
too.
skye_dsDS: thankee both kindly, I'll relay that to him :)

evile: I am *so* not looking forward to Krav tonight. I'm still
hurting from fitness class Saturday. But the good news is in the
fighting classes, I'm not the newest or most pathetic student.
skye_dsDS: I was SO physically wiped out, tired and sleepy last night
evile: I bet.
skye_dsDS: I couldn't feel anything below my knees
evile: I was pretty low-energy all day yesterday.
evile: The highlight of my day was when Knighthorse and Kulilinei came by after
Celtic Fest to return the folding tables they borrowed.

evile: They said they did pretty good, made thier booth fee back +
some.
skye_dsDS: we would have gone if we hadn't been at Rose Tourney
skye_dsDS: good thing we went to Rose tourney too, because if we hadn't
there would have been only one Eq competitor
evile: It was a fun time. Great music.
skye_dsDS: nobody should win that easily
evile: no...where's the fun in that?
skye_dsDS: I haven't interviewed in so long
skye_dsDS: I've run through every interview practice and advice I could
find at monster and other such places, and I still don't feel ready
evile: I never do, either. I hate interviewing.
skye_dsDS: nods. additionally, I'm feeling guilt
skye_dsDS: of course, part of being a soft doormat internally is almost
constant guilt.
evile: *nod* employers are in it to make money, and to get the most
from you while paying you the least they can....it's not personal,
it's business. ANd likewise, you want a job that pays you the most
for your time. It's just business
skye_dsDS: you mgiht consider AZO UTI, and unsweetened (except with
Stevia) cranberry juice.
evile: my stomach cant' take strongly acidic stuff anymore, m akes me
queasy. I will see if I can find the AZO stuff, and [Aunt L] sent me a
recipe for a cure that doesnt' sound too godawful.
skye_dsDS: know others have already suggested it, but I know that AZO
and cranjuice together work wonders
evile: I haven't had a UTI or yeast infection in ages...I guess this
is my punishment for all that nice Halloween nookie.
skye_dsDS: that's one nice thing about moderating carb intake, less
frequent uti/yeast, and it isn't as bad when it does happen.
evile: Hasn't happened to me in....years, literally. at least 4. I
could cheerfullly make it another several years before it happens
again.
skye_dsDS: I had gone about that long too, when they put me through the
POP experiment
skye_dsDS: and the next thing I know I have UTI and yeast from HELL
skye_dsDS: along with hot flashes of all things
skye_dsDS: "menopause"
skye_dsDS: excuse me, I'm 31, it ain't no fucking menopause
skye_dsDS: "wait, it will get better"
skye_dsDS: 3 months of it
evile: that truly sucks.
skye_dsDS: 3 months is too fucking long, give me back my full fucking
pill or I will fucking kill you, fucking capisce/

skye_dsDS: even regular courses of antibiotics give some women UTI /
yeast.
evile: yup. 'down there' is a very delicate ecosystem, apparently.
skye_dsDS: I never had a UTI or yeast till right before I graduated UT
skye_dsDS: doctor said I need to go to the bathroom right after sex
skye_dsDS: something about emptying the bladder being necessary to clear
t hings out after sex, and his germs and my germs not getting along
and blah blah blah

skye_dsDS: and this is necessary above and beyond washing up religiously
afterwards (which is a like duh)
evile: *smile* Just remembered one of Rollins' spoken word things on
that topic. Hilarious.
skye_dsDS: I really need to get my ears around some Rollins (as well as

skye_dsDS: next time he's not here for long periods of time, I intend to.

skye_dsDS: but he spends less and less time out of the office
skye_dsDS: and he doesn't listen to his Sirius anymore
evile: bummer.
skye_dsDS: he would be much happier if he'd take more time off like he
used to, and listen to Sirius while he's here.
evile: yup. his choice, though. He must be getting some satisfaction
out of his choices.
skye_dsDS: in addition to scalping him for fucking up my filing beyond
all recognition (and it STILL isn't completely fixed), would like to
scalp little intern Michael for busting Hugh's stereo
evile: yuck.
skye_dsDS: since I leave after Hugh does every night, one of these
nights I"m going to sneak his stereo home
skye_dsDS: get sineater to fix it
evile: *nod*
skye_dsDS: and come in early in the am beating Hugh here so he'll never
know
skye_dsDS: and just smile and say, I fixed it.
skye_dsDS: not because I want to take credit that isn't mine, but
because I know he would not like me taking it home and bringing it
back
skye_dsDS: see, he had this system he cobbled together himself, and he
loved it dearly, and it worked well
skye_dsDS: then his wife wanted to know whether to buy him for their
anniversary, a stereo for the office, or a projection tv
skye_dsDS: I said, well, he has a perfectly good office stereo, but I
don't know what he would make of a projection tv, he's never
mentioned wanting one to me, but then that doesn't mean he doesn't
want one
skye_dsDS: but then, I really can't imagine Hugh spending 1200$ on a tv
either...
evile: yup
skye_dsDS: so she bought him t his little bookshelf stereo that new
isn't as good as the used one Hugh put together
skye_dsDS: and then Michael fucked it up beyond recognition
evile: that sucks!!
skye_dsDS: if this were "his" stereo, he wouldn't care if I took it home
skye_dsDS: but Joyce gave it to him
skye_dsDS: and if anything were to happen to it, no matter how good my
intentions...
skye_dsDS: I suppose I could say, well, sineater and I went to dinner last
night, and I asked him to meet me here before, and he fixed it.
skye_dsDS: that way he gets credit for what he did.
evile: yeah.
skye_dsDS: sineater says he wants to work on it when he comes out of it

skye_dsDS: I'm doubtful about that
evile: Kulilinei says her ex had a similar procedure and was pretty out
of it for the whole day afterwards.
skye_dsDS: that's what I'm thinkin
evile: I would be surprised if he didn't end up pukin'.
skye_dsDS: you can't tell him any of that, so I don't bother anymore
skye_dsDS: I just prepare
