I survived Thanksgiving

Believe it or not, ours was good! I played cards with rubber_pig's oldest,
drew on the sidewalk with chalk with [sister H] & the middle one, wiped
snot off the littlest's fat little face, visited with rubber_pig (well,
sat there while she babbled at me), visited with UB/'skye' (same), hugged
[brother A] hi & bye, just had a very nice day. Drank wine, maintained a
pleasant buzz, and had a fairly good time. (Everyone who tried it
loved the Silver Oak, BTW.) The only shitty thing I remember is rubber_pig
saying something about [brother A] getting a vasectomy after her #4 is born.
That pissed me off some...I mean, come on, this woman is the LAST
person who should be telling ohter people how many babies they can
have!! But that's my guess on why #2 and #3 weren't Trey's--she
probably did the Vasectomy Talk with him too. [cousin B] thinks she still
has something going on with #3's father, so that's why the phone-call
screening is going on, she doesn't want [brother A] and bio-dad of #3
talking to each other. Whatever. It's his stupid choice. Man, she
looks like HELL too. Instead of the taut belly that most preggos
have, it's flabby and droopy, and she had so much white in her hair
it looked like the school play when you put shoe polish in someone's
hair to make them look old. She wore black go go boots, a black
pleated skirt that hit just above her knee, and a skintight black
turtleneck. Preggo goth go go bride of frankenstein ho? not a good
look.
Me, Sineater, [aunt L], [uncle B], [sister H], [brother A], rubber_pig, kids, skye_ds, sineater, Arthur [bird],
Elaine, Pat, Sonya
Good bunch. Nice folks. Didn't visit much with Pat, sineater, or Sonya,
but Sonya did taste the wines. That was kinda fun. I think I might
like her now...

That's an interesting observation about Shane & your $ issues. If
he'd freaked out on you, you would probably be in the mall burning
holes in your credit cards all weekend. It's easier to be moderate
about things when there's no stress attached.
I think I said something similar to UB re: rubber_pig on Thanksgiving (not
sure, exactly, I was kinda tipsy)...it is very true. She is screwed
for life & her body & face are a ruin because she didn't have enough
charm & confidence in and of herself to land a guy, she had to 'oops'
them. So...yeah. If she were just some random person I'd feel sorry
for her, but since she's grabbed on to [brother A] as she circles the drain,
I have less sympathy. But, for whatever reasons, [brother A] has reverted
back to his "Prince Goldensprog" spoiled brat personality that he had
when he was like, 5, so ... I am having a hard time getting too much
sympathy up for him, either.
Today is not crawling too badly. Can't wait to go home, though! I
have to do dishes from when we had everyone over for lunch yesterday
& I still need to finish getting my closet organized.
