If you are not the person getting married, or the person paying for the dress, you don’t say a darn thing to the bride other than “Congratulations” and “I’m so happy for you,” and “Thank you for inviting me to your wedding,” and “I hope you will have a wonderful lifetime together,”
Anything other than well wishes and gratitude for being invited to share their special day is inappropriate, and a far greater show of incivility than anything the bride chooses to wear on her happy day.
