Why is the language around narcissists so predatory? I understand they're extremely manipulative and cruel but they're always portrayed as people to simply steer clear from, isolating them, increasing potentiality for more victims. They're people too

Being a person isn’t an excuse to treat other people badly.

Being shunned because you have behaved badly is a time-honored behavior among primates, humans included. If you violate the norms of the tribe, especially by being destructive to other members of your tribe, you are a danger to the tribe, and you must be excluded for the safety of the group.

The truth is: narcissists are predatory. All human beings have the capacity to be predators and many people enjoy the sport of hunting or fishing, either for food or for fun. Narcissists prey upon other human beings. They are predators; they will use, abuse, exploit, and ruin anyone they are in a relationship with. It is a good idea for your own continued survival to avoid predators.
