My main problem with the OT is that it isn't
necessary, espeiclaly if everyone would just shut up
and do their work. And the people who are getting in
the most OT hours are the biggest offenders.
But...what the hell, its close to the holidays & I can
always use the $.

Maybe I'll go google-searching for kilt photos later

I like the woods & the single malt, but I'll leave the
fishing to you :) I'll just hang out on the shore with
our little picnic & read a book or sketch or write in
my journal or something :)

*sigh* I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!! And
Decemberween is less than 40 days away! eeeeeeee!

Oh: latest drama: Mom was peeved to learn that sineater
won't be in town for G/dad's visit--they'll be in
Texarkana with the horses & bird, visiting skye_ds's
family. G/dad is kind of like 'Oh well, I understand
he has family obligations other than me' But Mom and Aunt L
are stirred up. I think I have convinced them not
to go on the offensive about it, because that will
just steel skye_ds's resolve further. I am just subtly
inserting comments about Decemberween & how much fun
it's going to be, how much amazing good food I'm going
to have, how many gorgeous people are going to come,
how I'm going to redecorate the living room, how
decadent & lovely it's going to be, bla bla, and
hopefully by the time I send out the evites she'll
have decided on her own to come back from TXK early
for the party (and just incidentally, for sineater to
visit with G/dad). It only took me how many years of
direct confrontations (in which sineater was the one hurt
most) to finally learn how to deal with her? heh.

Oh well, back to the grindstone. I'm here until 5:20
today...argh.

Good for you on the family front - I am actually surprised that my
mom didn't have a mini-cow (I guess that would be a calf) about me
going away for Thanksgiving. If John and I go to Vegas for
Christmas, though, she might. Ahwell. It's not like any of us are
really into the holidays for any actual holiday reasons. Just nice
to be off work. :)

I am actually getting through my work pretty well. I was in major
ADD mode yesterday.
