evile: Hey! Happy Monday!
SkyeDS: rofl no such thing :P
SkyeDS: how was your weekend?
evile: excellent. Not long enough. But what there was of it, was
great.
SkyeDS: nods
evile: And I'm taking off the rest of the week after tuesday, so
that'll be good.
SkyeDS: Prophet (Steve) invited us to investigate a group he's going
to start jousting with. may spend some part of the 4th with them
evile: oh, cool.
SkyeDS: tue = fri works for me lol
evile: And then the office is closed Monday, so I have a 6 day
weekend.
SkyeDS: lol you suck and I hate you :)
SkyeDS: (my new way of expressing envy)
evile: Oh, ok then.
SkyeDS: it was ungodly hot and humid this weekend, I hope that
doesn't mean we're about to have a record scorcher summer
evile: it's possible. We did have a very mild winter.
evile: I am glad I didn't even think about going to faire last
weekend...that would have been miserable.
evile: that's probably a big reason why I was so tired Saturday---
driving back and forth to the Crossings in the heat.
SkyeDS: reading bout that now. hot rocks sounds like excellent idea.
SkyeDS: I know they used to use hot bricks and mountains of blankets
to break fevers around the time of the civil war
evile: Oh, it was wonderful. The salt scrub I could definitely do on
myself, but the hot rocks are something you need to have someone else
place on you. It was really wonderful. Now that I knwo how its done,
I may get a set at ULTA or wherever for home.
SkyeDS: doesn't sound like a good fever treatment but does sound like
an excellent oh my god the zulu warriors in my abdomen are going to
kill me treatment
evile: I don't get the horrendous cramps I used to, but I still do
get them a little. The big warm rock on my tummy was very very nice &
would be wonderful during that 'special' time, I'm thinkin.
SkyeDS: I'm thinkin that I'm agreein
SkyeDS: hot rocks, dark chocolate (macademia nuts optional) and red
wine.
evile: Yum yum. BTW, they take the 'healthy' thing a little too
seriously at the Crossings, no wine while you wait for your spa
services. In that way, Body & Soul is a little nicer. :P
SkyeDS: when my MD and my OBG were going back and forth about my
blood pressure
SkyeDS: I would pour three glasses of red wine into a blue water
bottle.
SkyeDS: it looked like grape juice
SkyeDS: I drank it while sitting in the waiting room.
SkyeDS: (bad Skye, bad, yes I know...)
evile: *shrug*
evile: I'm trying not to be stressy about it, but I'm just
curious...were you and/or sineater planning on stopping by this evening?
SkyeDS: not as far as I know. Not because we don't want to, but
because we are both so sleep deprived that we will do well to make it
home straight from work :|
evile: OK. I can certainly understand that. I know it's a long drive.
SkyeDS: truthfully we should have stayed home all weekend and caught
up on sleep, and we didn't.
SkyeDS: we're both bad about doing what we damn well know we ought to
evile: But did ya have fun? that's the important part :P
SkyeDS: the moon was beautiful last night, that bodes well for
tonight, I think.
evile: *nod* I hope so.
SkyeDS: if it isn't too stressy, what I would like to do is see how I
feel at the end of the day, ask him how he feels, and go from there?
evile: OK. Call and let me know, if you get a chance & are near a
phone. If not, we'll see ya. And I will totally understand if you opt
for home & sleep, or just stop by to eat and run.
SkyeDS: should call home first or cell?
evile: I will be in the yard, more than likely. i'll try to remember
to have both phones where I can hear them if they ring. Try home
first. :)
SkyeDS: <looks at own cell phone, looks guilty>
evile: I don't know why I get so worried/stressed. Sweetie says I always
cook enough for Cox's Army.
SkyeDS: every time I make food I make too much
SkyeDS: I still think better to have too much than not enough
SkyeDS: although, never having had not enough, how would I know
evile: well, most of what I make is fine as leftovers, and I never
cook anything I don't like or won't eat.
SkyeDS: that makes me a kind of lousy secretary
SkyeDS: in terms of coffee making
SkyeDS: since I don't drink it
evile: Tonight will only be stressful and miserable if I *let* it. I
am going to just be calm and have a good time. The house isn't
spotless, the yard isn't perfect, but I know the food will be good
and the company will be lovely, and the moon will be beautiful.
That's all we need.
SkyeDS: think about what my house looks like and you will
automatically feel much better
evile: I haven't seen your new house. And, honestly, I really don't
care what other people's houses look like when I go over there, as
long as I"m not sitting/stepping in anything gross...i don't really
care. So I don't know why I get so freaked about my own house not
being spotless.
SkyeDS: is a beautiful house even when it isn't spotless
SkyeDS: I want one just like it, but I couldn't find one like it
attached to land that I could afford, so I had to do what I could
afford, for the horses
evile: *nod*
evile: A house & land with lots of room for them to roam around, is a
fine thing
evile: Land is always a good investment, anyway.
SkyeDS: nods. but I would have liked to have had a cooler
house...like yours.
evile: *shrug* just because you can't have everything you want _right
now_ doesn't mean you wont' ever have it.
SkyeDS: that's true :)
evile: yup
evile: It's no biggie if you miss this month's; next month's is
Midsummer & D and Josephine will be here :)
SkyeDS: :D
evile: I'm really excited that they're going to be in TX for the
summer.
SkyeDS: bet they are too! heat notwithstanding
evile: And we're going to have cousin B for the summer & school year next
year, starting Memorial Day. (we meaning aunt L and uncle B officially, me
and Sweetie unofficiallly)
evile: well, crap! Time snuck up on me. Time to run away! YAY!
SkyeDS: HUGS wind to your wings :)
evile: Have a good evening, whatever you decide to do with it. Sleep
is sounding real good to me, personally :P
SkyeDS: nodnodnod
evile: *hugs* see ya!
