I had a great weekend, lots of fun, but I didn't do
any laundry, so I was really scrounging in the closet
to find something this a.m. I halfway considered
calling in sick to get more sleep and do laundry. But
I made myself come in, and good thing too because I
have phone duty so I get to leave at 3! Rock on :)
Eeyore's birthday was Saturday, I went out with e
and we met up with her new boyfriend Andy & a bunch of
her friends, his friends, my friends..basically half
the Austin-people I know were there. I didn't find Aaron or his wife
Andi, but that's OK too.
I liked her new guy; cute, funny, lots of hobbies & interests in
common with her, and he treated her VERY well. It was obvious that he
really thinks the world of her. That automatically puts him on
the "good" list in my book.
Sunday I went to yoga with onyxlynxx, and then
brunch & Pecan Street festival. We shopped, talked, and
listened to music, then went our separate ways. Tom and
I went to a wedding at Mayfield Park Saturday
afternoon/evening, and that was really nice. The
grounds were gorgeous, lots of green and flowers
blooming, and the peacocks that live at the park were
flouncing and puffing their tails--very pretty! The VW folks are
always fun to hang out with. Jodies new gf, Melissa, is very cute,
but she wasn't wearing panties. Nice butt, but...still. agh.

excerpt from email w/J-Law:
At the wedding we went to yesterday, they used the
bride's parents' pastor, and it was just....not quite
right. He was in a full on Church Suit, all 'Jesus'
this and 'God' that and Lords prayer and all of this,
while the bride and groom were getting married in an
outdoor Eden, both barefoot, wearing very simple
clothing, with vegetarian snacks, simple drinks (2
kinds of wine, 4 kinds of beer, 4 or 5 types of sodas,
bottled water), very simple tables (white cloth
decorated with bouquets of white stocks, each place
had a big white envelope with the bride & groom's
first names & the date, and a big gorgeous cookie
inside). The bride carried a bouquet of 5 or 5 big
lavender daisies, the bride's cake was a light teal 3
tier square cake with white glitter and white spirals,
and the groom's cake was chocolate w/white icing and
one of those picture transfer things of his VW van on
the beach on the top....so the whole thing was totally
hippie-fied, comfortable, personal, non-religious, non
traditional, except for the minister. So that was a
little wierd. I guess the parents were happy,
so...maybe thats important when mom & dad are footing
the bill :P
