evile: I hate it when I make stupid mistakes. elevated a callI could
have handled to a 'talk to my supervisor' moment because I was stupid
& not looking at the right thing
SkyeDS: I hope it passes quickly
evile: ya never know around here.
evile: did you read about my adventures with the HBB hunter last
night? I really wish you'd been there to lay teh smackdown..
SkyeDS: I haven't read LJ yet today what happened
evile: there was a guy there I'd never seen before, so I was being
friendly and chatting with him, and then all of hte sudden he's
asking me about my sexual experiences and all of this really
inappropriate crap!
SkyeDS: what's HBB?
evile: Hot Bi Babe
SkyeDS: we should get buttons/tshirts made
evile: no SHIT.
SkyeDS: "yes, I'm poly pagan bi and sex positive...no I won't fuck
you, now go play in the traffic"
evile: It started out very pleasantly, he asked me questions that
seemed normal -- how di dyou find out about the group, how long have
you been coming to poly dinner, and then BAM!
evile: AND he was passing silent, incredibly foul intestinal gas the
WHOLE time, too.
SkyeDS: I don't know what kind of smackdown I would have been able to
deliver
SkyeDS: I am the epitome of social ineptitude
evile: I think he was truly worthy and deserving of your patented 'go
play in traffic' speech.
SkyeDS: well yeah :)
evile: I feel awful. Before I picked up on the creep vibe, I told him
about big fun and hte yahoo newsgroup and binet...now I'll feel
REALLY bad if he shows up at any of those and starts pestering people.
SkyeDS: he could easily discover those things without you (even I did
that)
evile: Maggiemaepisces was very short with him. I should have picked up on that
and followed her lead. She's usually very sweet to people; if she's
rude to someone there is a damn good reason for it.
SkyeDS: you learned a lesson. it will be better next time.
evile: i hope so. :(
evile: It's one of those things...it'll make a funny story someday.
But not today.
evile: "I'm writing a screenplay"...jeezus. with a line like that, he
ought to go try his luck with the hollywood poly scene.
SkyeDS: LOL
evile: wtf are people thinking? in what universe is it appropriate to
go from "hello my name is ___ and I like mountain biking and I do __
for a living" to "so, when did you first go down on a woman?"....NO!!
Not appropriate!!
SkyeDS: ROFL even I know that.
SkyeDS: you know when I was dealing blackjack
SkyeDS: I made the best money at the yellow rose
SkyeDS: and enjoyed the dancers
SkyeDS: but that club east of 290
SkyeDS: I had men asking me how big my nipples were and how sensitive
evile: ew!!
evile: And of course you were working and your employer might frown
if you put a foot in their ass.
evile: if he had physically threatened me rather than just verbally
offended me, I would have had no problem beating him to the
ground...but since he was just asking rude questions, I really didn't
know how to deal at all.
evile: and in so many circles I run in, people are kind of socially
retarded/clueless so I try to give the benefit of the doubt.
SkyeDS: <whistles innocently>
evile: I just need to practice 'none of your business' until it
sounds natural.
SkyeDS: or a look or a tone of voice maybe
SkyeDS: some people are very effective with those
evile: yeah.. I just don't know why I have such a block against being
rude to strangers. even strangers who are being rude to me.
evile: Oh well...only 2 icky experiences out of how many years of
hanging with the polys? Pretty good odds.
SkyeDS: nodnods
evile: I feel bad about the puppy pile party this weekend...this is
like the 3rd or 4th party that bunch has invited me to and I keep
turning 'em down. The last couple because I already had plans. This
time, I don't have plans, but I just don't know if I want to go.
SkyeDS: what is a puppy pile party
evile: that would be my other point of hesitation. It sounds like
just a bunch of people hugging and snuggling and that sounds nice
enough, but as soon as there's fluids slopping around, I would be so
GONE
evile: (short answer:"I don't really know, but I can imagine. Not
sure if I want to find out.")
SkyeDS: term taken from Anita Blake novels probably
evile: why do you think that?
SkyeDS: she uses that term constantly in her writing to describe how
the weres relate to each other
evile: oh. I guess I've never read one of those where that term
turned up. I stopped reading that series pretty early on.
evile: it was like the 2nd, 3rd novel, where she stops the action of
the story they were about to go confront some big bad guy, like
about to bust thru the door of the lair, and oh, wait, we've got to
stop and talk about what everyone's wearing...I kind of went "bleh"
and never picked up another one.
SkyeDS: I've only read one, and I don't even remember which one
SkyeDS: one where she gets turned by JeanClaude
evile: *shrug* It's been years, they werent' all that memorable.
evile: I like Jason well enough, he's snuggly, but I dislike his SO,
and I barely know his wife.
evile: And I don't care to be touched by people I don't know, so I
really think me at a puppy pile party would be a poor match.
SkyeDS: you get to leave at 3 today?
evile: 3:30, I got here late.
evile: Chrisloy was there with her baby last night. It is a pretty
cute thing.
evile: I do like babies, but from a distance...it was pukey and
whatnot.
evile: Chance earned major brownie points, she sat between me and the
baby for a while :)
SkyeDS: LOL
evile: I think she is a lot smarter than the 'bosomy bimbo' facade
she puts on.
evile: when she's not acting like that, shes' quite delightful.
SkyeDS: I'm trying to place Chance and I'm not remembering
evile: I don't know if she was ever there on a night you were.
SkyeDS: mind keeps wanting to put Pace in place of Chance, and Pace
is neither bosomy nor bimbo
evile: she's about my height, 150-160 lbs, shoulder length dark hair,
creamy skin, dark eyes, very nice rack.
evile: Pace was there for a minute, but she left early
evile: Erinlefey was there too, but she wasn't feeling well, so she and
tangentsferret left early too. Oh well.
evile: yay for phone duty. I"m ready to go home and nap!
