evile: OMFG--Brother A & The Rubber Pig called me last night a few minutes after
    10PM
    SkyeDS: about what
SkyeDS: it should have been important to violate the 9 pm rule that
I'm sure we're all aware of.
evile: I had made them little pendants with small proof-photos and
    glass nuggets.
evile: They were calling to thank me
evile: Proceeded to babble at me until almost 11,when I had to
interrupt and say it was past my bedtime and I had to get up for
work. Wierd that they were the rude ones but I ended up feeling rude
    about interrupting htem....
evile: The Rubber Pig is certifiably nutso, BTw. In case you had any doubts at
    all.
SkyeDS: none. Told sineater about the dog yesterday, he is not pleased.
SkyeDS: He thinks that you, [dad] and he need to have a "discussion"
with Brother A, although by both his account and yours I don't know what
    that will accomplish if anything
evile: Aunt L says she *Specifically* asked Brother A about the dog
yesterday and Brother A said he was 'fine'.
evile: Oh, you'll enjoy this: According to her, a marriage license,
mutual property ownership, and calling one another 'husband'
and 'wife' are not what makes a real marriage. You are 'really'
married when you are obedient to your husband.
evile: oops, her being The Rubber Pig, not Aunt L.
SkyeDS: perhaps she misunderstands the word "obedient" because she
seems to mistake her being obedient to him and him being obedient to
    her.
evile: I think it's called "topping from the bottom"
SkyeDS: that's a no no in that circle, as I'm sure you know
evile: ding ding ding. Pretty much wrong in any situation, far as I'm
    concerned...
evile: The Rubber Pig is not at all interested in the concept of "law of the
land" dictating what marriage is, and REALLY not interested in the
idea that other people's spirituality and marriage vows may not
include the concept of a woman obeying a man.
SkyeDS: every time I think this can't get any more fucked up
    evile: no shit, right?
evile: I could not get in a word edgewise to ask about Paulie. It was
    VERY frustrating.
evile: She called Brother A a shmuck and I called her ass down on it, so
at least I got in one hit.
SkyeDS: I told sineater last night I was tempted, if they follow through
with suit, to contact the surgeon and volunteer to testify for him,
file an amicus brief, do whatever I can to help his case
evile: Oh, the deal with that is that apparently she's worked as a
jewelry model and there is now a scar on her neck which is
asymmetrical and may cost her modeling jobs. BSBSBSBS!
SkyeDS: the medical board would hopefully throw that out without so
    much as an investigation
evile: (you *know* how much I *love* to hear people call my family
ugly names...no matter how much they may deserve it, no matter how
it may be 'kidding' or 'in fun'...I do not tolerate it)
SkyeDS: and I would hope a judge wouldn't allow that in because it
    wouldn't stand up prima facie
evile: It's very crazy & stupid. I'd just be fucking grateful I could
walk and was not dead at this point, if the surgery was as serious as
    they claim it was.
SkyeDS: I wonder if the only thing you could do besides wait for it
    to all fall apart catastrophically
SkyeDS: is to kidnap him forcibly
    evile: *sigh* I wish.
SkyeDS: which is what I'm sure [sineater's mom] would do with sineater, to have him
exorcised or whatever else, if she thought she could
evile: I'm sure. What a mess.
evile: Elaine actually called me this a.m. because she is worried
about Aunt L. Especially since Aunt L is in super-chirpy "everything's
just great!" mode. Which is ALWAYS trouble.
evile: another couple of things that bothered me about the phone call
last night: 1) The Rubber Pig thinks mom is going to come down and spend
most/all the summer with the kids. 2) The Rubber Pig thinks it's 'cute'
and 'sweet' that even with her bad back, when baby Yummy whines to be
picked up, Aunt L will pick her up and carry her around.
SkyeDS: maybe it would serve some purpose to have the family en masse
    take batting practice...
SkyeDS: and you know I wouldn't say that lightly (having been a
    target years ago).
evile: I'm not quite to the point where I think The Rubber Pig is worth the
jail time, but coming pretty damned close.
evile: The Rubber Pig and Brother A were blathering on about how wonderful life is
and such, when Brother A had, not 15 minutes before, told me they had
returned bunches of stuff to various stores for gas money and they
were going to Exxon when Trey got home from work for free hotdogs.
evile: (Im assuming the ones they toss out at shift change or
    whatever)
SkyeDS: "wonderful" is subjective and we know they wear rose tint
evile: I am thinkign the pain meds were kicking pretty good at that
    point...
evile: Which doesn't explain Brother A's rosy view, but maybe as long as
his wick stays dipped, everything else is roses & gravy.
evile: Oh, she's also going to try and make it up on Sunday. I guess
so I can congratulate her on what a brave little martyr she is for
making that long trip at the risk of her health & recovery... UGH.
evile: Dammit, doing more than you're supposed to when you're sick is
NOT 'brave' or 'good' it's STUPID and just going to make you sicker.
What about this do people NOT understand?!?
SkyeDS: I'm trying to figure out how to go shopping on Saturday July
3d and camp overnight too, I didn't think about that yesterday
evile: Oh..well, like I said, if you get a better offer, don't fret .
Sweetie's got a VW campout that weekend and I could go to that if you & I
    don't get together that saturday.
SkyeDS: could we go shopping Friday after work, or on Sunday?
SkyeDS: actually, I need to call and see if I can even get a space
there first before I rearrange anything
evile: Sunday is the 4th...Hellish Villagers of the Damned at Elaines.
    SkyeDS: that's right :(
evile: Yeah, see if you can reserve camping space that weekend first,
and I'll be your backup plan :)
SkyeDS: wow, all 10 eq sites are still open for Sat night
    evile: excellent! :)
SkyeDS: but like half the park is already booked otherwise
evile: not surprising. that's a big weekend.
SkyeDS: would you like to have dinner friday after work, go get
    something to drink?
evile: Friday July 2, or another friday?
SkyeDS: actually any Friday is fine with me
SkyeDS: except of course that there are three Fridays in July where I
    won't be in town
evile: I know that a lot of your Fridays are usually spent headed out
    towards your weekend events.
evile: How about July 2, then, for sure.
evile: Summerville doesn't look like a super-long drive like some of
the other places y'all have gone for SCA. Maybe 2 hours' drive or so?
SkyeDS: my Mexican cotton chemise with red embroidery came yesterday,
    smelling like roses
    evile: nice :)
SkyeDS: bout an hour from home, maybe
    SkyeDS: between home and Houston
SkyeDS: and everybody I know who's been there loves it
evile: that's not too bad, so you could drive out Saturday a.m. and
not be too beat when you got out there
evile: plus still have plenty of daylight to play in
SkyeDS: their internet system doesn't seem to work, so I guess I'll
    call after all
evile: a lot of state sites are squirrely like that.
evile: ya know, I'm not married and I could give a shit, but if The Rubber Pig
starts spouting that 'real marriage is obedience' garbage in front of
you & sineater, I won't be surprised if she gets a knuckle sandwich.
evile: I mean, really, how hypocritical is it for her to be handing
down The Law from On High about what is marriage? Whatever works for
her, fine. but don't you dare start telling other people how to be
married or that they aren't married because they don't fit your
    standards.
SkyeDS: I think she's going to have problems with the whole
definition of marriage thing when she tells most people that she
doesn't have a marriage license or a divorce
SkyeDS: that means she can't even be common law married
SkyeDS: (lack of divorce that is)
evile: I can't even force my brain into The Rubber Pig-think mode...there is
no way to approach her mindset that helps me understand why she
    thinks the way she does.
evile: I can respect the statement "To me we are married because we
have pledged our love to one another"...I can NOT respect the
statement "to me, nobody is married unless they conform to my ideas
    of marriage"
SkyeDS: how could anyone say that with a straight face
evile: Nor can I respect the statement "I dont' care what the law
says, its what I say "
SkyeDS: she says those things? out loud?
    evile: indeed.
SkyeDS: well we know what perspective I have
SkyeDS: as skewed to the norm as possibly humanly possible
SkyeDS: I belong to numerous groups of weirdos
SkyeDS: who all think I am weird
evile: It took me about an hour to calm down enough to get to sleep &
I woke up with a splitting headache this a.m. after hideous
nightmares. My brain does NOT like dealing with her brand of TEH KR4ZY
SkyeDS: but you have to learn to keep your weirdness to yourself
    sometimes
SkyeDS: and not flaunt it or be in faces about it
evile: And, far as I know, you pretty much live by "YKIOK" and would
never presume to tell someone else they were or were not married, or
    what have you.
SkyeDS: it isn't that I'm not capable of being judgmental, it's just
when I am, I don't say it out loud
    evile: exactly.
SkyeDS: I did make the judgment call to tell Karen & Randy that I
    have an open marriage
SkyeDS: because I wanted them to understand that sonar0m and I are not
    stepping out behind sineater's back
    evile: *nods*
SkyeDS: I am told that our relationship is obvious, even though we
keep it as toned down as possible in front of mixed audiences
SkyeDS: with that in mind, it's important for other people not to
    make incorrect assumptions
    evile: *nod*
SkyeDS: and I decided it was ok to be pagan because half the group is
    pagan
SkyeDS: but I don't talk religion, politics or marriage in front of
    these people
    evile: *nods*
SkyeDS: well...once, it was all pagans at our particular feast table,
so of course we had religious humor all over the place...but that
    wasn't a mixed audience
    evile: exactly.
SkyeDS: July and August are like the two worst months to visit texas
    SkyeDS: poor Kathy & Greg
    evile: Greg's not coming.
evile: The Rubber Pig said something about thinking Greg doesn't like her, and
Aunt L apparently tried to soft-pedal it..but I went ahead and told her
the truth...which I am 90% sure she didn't even hear....
evile: The Rubber Pig: "[dad] doesn't like me, Aunt L says bla bla, but I think
    he doesn't like me"
    Me: "nope"
evile: I think I was supposed to tell her "Oh NO, we all LOVE you and
    think you're WONDERFUL"....but that's me...no blowing smoke up
peoples orifices for no good reason...
SkyeDS: I don't understand Aunt L's perspective in all this truthfully
evile: "that's what family does" does not seem to quite cover it, no?
SkyeDS: it doesn't cover soft pedaling re [dad]'s feelings
SkyeDS: I don't understand what that accomplishes
evile: Oh, well...I guess Aunt L felt she needed to shelter The Rubber Pig's
    little feelings.
evile: Perhaps feeling that if The Rubber Pig felt Brother A's family was agianst
her, she would take it out on Brother A?
SkyeDS: ok, well, some day the truth will out
SkyeDS: not like [dad] hides his feelings
    SkyeDS: so then what
    evile: nope.
    SkyeDS: more damage
evile: But maybe by that time, Brother A will have done some thinking and
be ready to leave, anyway ?
SkyeDS: maybe there is merit in tying him up and kidnapping him
    evile: heh. I wish.
evile: Unfo, he's a grownup and presumably sane...so nothing to do
but stand around until things blow up.
    SkyeDS: I hate that
    evile: me too.
evile: On the plus side, trying very hard to put a good spin on
things, she has been encouraging him to quit smoking cigarettes &
other stuff. according to her, he's not smoked the other stuff since
they officially became a couple in January.
    SkyeDS: that is good
evile: so, really, ti's not all bad. Just ...wierd & incomprehensible.
SkyeDS: sineater agreed that every night it's like, ok, how is it more
fucked up now, how could it possibly be? but WAIT
evile: *sigh* I can't even get my head around most of this
stuff...it's trying to believe that Up is Down.
evile: And Brother A just doesn't understand why Mom & [dad] won't act like
the marriage is real and keep asking "what's really going on?"
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: Kinda hard to take things seriously when Brother A & The Rubber Pig call up
every day with some new story or some new drama. Today Paulie is out,
tomorrow he's back, Trey sleeps on the couch, oh, no, he's spending
most of his time at someone else's, bla bla bla.
evile: The Rubber Pig apparently treats Trey like crap. I've only seen them
interact at the NYE party & the 'wedding'--she just ignored him as
far as I could see. But at Yummy's bday party apparently she was just
ragging him endlessly about everything. So sad I was in Montana &
    missed that.
SkyeDS: gotta wonder what the hell is going through HIS mind
evile: I don't see how Brother A can't see that eventually he will be in
Trey's place, if the pattern continues...
evile: sort of the rule of the cheating spouse, in a way. If s/he
cheated on spouse #1 for YOU, what makes you think s/he won't cheat
on YOU for th future #3?
evile: And, as I said, she's already starting with the verbal
abuse, 'affectionately' calling him a "shmuck"
SkyeDS: he isn't good with patterns
SkyeDS: (neither is sineater for that matter)
evile: seems very simple cause=>effect to me...
    SkyeDS: aye
evile: *sigh* oh well, subjectivity is hard when you're on a big ol'
    rollercoaster like Brother A is.

evile: happy thoughts happy thoughts...nice hot bath & nap after
work, good class tonight, starting the sangria tomorrow. Nice happy
    thoughts.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: and it's hump day :P
evile: July 2 is a bellydance show at Casa de Luz, It doesn't start
till 8PM though, so you might not want to stay in Austin that late if
you want to get an early-ish start July 3
SkyeDS: they say checkin isn't till 2 pm
SkyeDS: but if there isn't already someone in my space I can check in
    early
evile: so you don't have to get up too early, then, if you don't want
    to :)
SkyeDS: this point no tellin what I"ll be feelin up to by then either
    evile: true enough.
evile: J-Law & I are so mean. she gave me a new little brit
catchphrase "acting the rubber pig" i.e., not working,
malfunctioning, acting in a way that is stupid or doesn't make
    sense...

evile: And guess who's new nickname is "Rubber Pig"? ;P
    SkyeDS: lol
evile: We are going to the hot place. At least we have a good sangria
recipe to keep cool down there :)
evile: oh crap...I just realized I sent [dad] a father's day pkg but
    haven't mailed my bio dad's yet...I have to fed-ex. Tomorrow I
guess...no way to take it there tonight AND get ready for class...
SkyeDS: so email/call and apologize for it being late
    evile: I may do that.
evile: then again, fed ex may be able to deliver by Saturday so I'd
    be on time :P
evile: I can never find a card that quite encompasses the father-
daughter bond we share..."Happy Father's day from your worst
    mistake"...nope, Hallmark doesn't make.
    SkyeDS: lol shoebox cards
evile: haven't found the perfect one yet. So I settle for generic &
    non-mushy as much as possible.
evile: "Bet you wish you'd settled for a blowjob"...nope.
    SkyeDS: lol
    evile: "I'm still REALLY fucking sorry I wasn't a boy--sorry that Y
    sperm didn't win the race...."
SkyeDS: you should write shoebox cards :P
evile: I'm too mean. I can't even express how grateful I am that
[dad]'s never treated me like an unwanted mistake he's ashamed of...
evile: Supposedly there's software that lets you design cards. Maybe
that's the way I should go for Fathers day next year.
    SkyeDS: nods
evile: coming into the home stretch....I would not even be here today
if I had not had to bring a dessert for the coworker luncheon thingy.
SkyeDS: I didn't sleep well so I took a nap this morning before
    coming in
    evile: good idea.
evile: I wish we had more flexibility as far as scheduling our work
days. Would make mornings like this one a bit better.
    SkyeDS: tis time
    SkyeDS: /me hugs
evile: Okeydoke. Take care o' you :)
SkyeDS: you too! wind to your wings, bella
    SkyeDS: <heads to nuke lunch
