Current mood: busy
Quick Update
K is babysitting for me today so that hubby can have a day off and I
can work. Tonight you will be seeing a pretty durn frazzled Mommy at
Poly 1st Wednes. dinner. Any volunteeers to keep the baby happy will
be greatly appreciated. Any scorning looks for having a baby crying
in public will only get a cold shoulder if the person is lucky.
Job has been keeping me wrapped in knots. Need to start forcing
myself to take a lunch. Anyone who decides to visit, be prepared to
have to drag me out of the office for a lunch though, I say I really
need them but making myself take them is difficult.

because being out in public is all about what SHE wants, not whehther
or not hte baby is comfortable & happy, and certainly not whether or
not fellow diners enjoy their experience. for fucks sake..this woman
is the most amazingly selfish and screwed up freak I've ever had the
misfortune of looking at in LJ.
Let her try and give me more than the cold shoulder--I know Krav Maga
and I ain't afraid to use it.

Dang I wish the bratpage was still up. I really want to say this out
loud somewhere...

Polydinner is tonight, and a woman who recently gave
birth (at great personal risk to her health & with a
genetic disease that may kill the child if it doesn't
'just' leave him crippled for life) wrote in her

everyone can worship her and her new baby and she's

Oh well. I know Krav Maga. Just let her try and start
shit with me for daring to be disturbed by her letting
her child wail in distress while she ignores it to
visit with people. Yes, indeedy, us childfree folks
sure are the selfish ones.

Very true. And the little epiphany I had is, not only is there an
element of being on equal footing with Shane, the main thing is, I
need to prove to MYSELF, not just him, that I am a responsible adult.
That woman sounds bloody awful. You are absolutely, totally
correct. Not all people who have children are selfish dickheads -
but these pompous, sanctimonious, breed-at-any-cost, tolerate/love-my-
brat people most certainly are.
Time for lunch, at last. For once, I am really really hungry, but I
had to knock out some shizz for the CA. In a way, I am looking
forward to my root canal. It will be nice to have a day and a half
off, during which I will be stoned out of my gourd on painkillers. I
can watch Sex & the City and slurp down Jamba Juices. :)
