I probably dreamt about her because I was looking thru old emails &
such in this yahoo group yesterday.
So, I was walking from the bus up to the building this a.m. and
thinking about her being 33 and me being 33 now, and her statement
about it being her 'Jesus year'. Apparently Jesus was crucified when
he was 33. So my thought was this: what if she views her drug bust &
jail time as some sort of martyrdom or noble sacrifice? What if what
Jesus had been crucified for was, in his day, seen as being as
reprehensible and evil and wrong as what X did in modern times?
In which case I would have been one of the masses screaming for his
execution.

reality check from J-Law. I shared these thoughts & here is what she

X is not Jesus. Here is a list of what I think about this: (1)
X is an egotistical drama queen who sees her life as more epic and
important than it really is, and expects everyone who knows her to
buy into it, too; (2) isn't this one of the deadly sins, or one of
the commandments - you're not supposed to have any other gods or
something? If so, she is going straight to the hot place; (3) Jesus
may have done something illegal under Roman law or whatever it was,
but he was arguably morally/ethically correct, which is not true of
X's drug using/drug use enabling/bad parenting/bad friending,
etc.; (4) isn't there an actual psychological disorder where people
have complexes and think they are deities or something?
You're human. Moreover, you're a very good person. So, of course
you're going to question yourself and your actions from time to
time. Sometimes we do things that aren't right, or good. In this
case, you haven't done X wrong, and you did yourself a giant good
by distancing yourself from her destructive crap. There is a huge
difference between pulling back to protect your head and heart (and
even life, given [X's husband]'s scary crap) and being one of the masses
screaming for execution. To the extent that X is destroyed or
whatever, she did it to herself out of her own selfishness and
stupidity. That does not a martyr make.
I love you hugely!!!!!! Hope your Thursday is better than mine is
destined to be!
XO,
J-Law
